The June challenge is our "HOMECOMING" Challenge. I would like everyone who is or has been on our Guest Design Team or Design Team to submit a project and maybe catch us up on what has changed in their life since your original bio. This can be anything you want to share and does not have to be new. Please also include an updated bio with your submission. If you are not a former team member then your challenge is to do something in regard to HOMECOMING.
To take the Challenge just submit a picture and brief description of your project along with the an updated bio to scrappinpsycho@live.com. All submissions will be posted to The Scrap Our Stash blog. This challenge ends at midnight central time on June 30th.

May "May I?" Challenge by Deb
Reader Deb submitted this layout for the May MAY I Challenge. She said:
I visited the blog known as 2 Kids and Some Paper where I found a really great layout that really caught my eye. You can visit at this location:http://twokidspaper.blogspot.com/2012/03/dolled-up.html and see if you like it as much as I do :) I chose to Deborahfy it a bit by adding a few extras in spots that called out to me and chose to create an all about me page talking about my love of color :)
Great challenge and I had fun with it!

Help! Looking for a new owner for Scrap Our Stash
It is with sadness that I post this.
After much thought, I have decided to quit Scrap Our Stash. It has become more of a obligation and less enjoyable over the last 6 months. It has nothing to do with the actual blog or the great people that have kept it going so successfully - it's just where I am in my life.
I think SOS is a great blog and it has fulfilled my original goal to allow anyone who wants to to be "published" and have an opportunity to be on a design team to do just that. With that being said, I would really like to see it continue - but without me as the source. What I would like is if someone would step up and take it over. I'm not sure how that all works - but if it can be done by just signing it over to someone that is what I would like to do. I would step completely out - and just be a reader and occasional submitter. If this is something you think you would be interested in please email me at Scrappinipsycho@live.com. Once I see if there is an interest in keeping it going - I will determine how I will step down. I would prefer that the person who takes over is someone familiar with SOS and someone I feel would be capable of keeping it going.
My plan is to continue through June. At this time the June Challenge will not have a winner unless I can find someone to continue the blog. If I choose someone to take over - this may be modified in order to have reader submissions and the chance at being on the July GDT (this will be decided by the new owner). If no one agrees to take on the responsibility of running SOS then I will end it on June 30th.
Please let me know if this is a responsibility you would like to take on.
As always ~

Kathy

May "May I?" Challenge by Ange
Design Team Member Ange submitted this layout for the May "MAY I?" Challenge. She said:
Hello!
Isn't this month's theme so fun? I love the idea of showing off the places where we find inspiration for everyone else to enjoy. I chose my friend and designer Aimee Kidd's blog. http://aimeekidd.blogspot.com/
She always has such beautiful and inspiring things to look at. (Looking for fab Father's day ideas? She just posted a totally cute one!)
But for this month's challenge I chose this layout to lift: Treasured Moment
http://aimeekidd.blogspot.com/2012/04/treasured-moment.html
The bright, fun colors and patterns pulled me in and then you see those sweet bike riding photos and all the fun embellishing, so I had to lift it.
As you can see from comparing my layout with Aimee's, I kept the same basic design, but with different papers, and stars where flowers were, it makes a great page about a busy boy.
Lots more details about this layout on my blog. I would love for you to stop by.

May "May I?" Challenge by Penny
Design Team Member Penny submitted these projects for the May "MAY I?" Challenge. She said:
Here are two starting point layouts I have made recently. They are for a gift album I'm making. Each page started out as a full sheet of 12 x 12 paper which I added 3 - 6 x 6 squares to. The tulip layouts features a wedding invitation that I modified to make it into a journaling block.

May "MAY I?" Challenge by Elizabeth
Design Team Member Elizabeth submitted this card for the May "MAY I?" Challenge. She said:
Whilst I admire a number of styles, steampunk, CAS (not that I'm any good at that) Barbara Gray, etc., my all-time favourite is the shabby chic/vintage style and Lenet Mos at To Scrap or Not to Scrap - That's the Question. is an expert in this style. Here is her piece which I used as inspiration.
I especially like how Lenet takes a plain white chipboard frame and completely transforms it with ink, embossing powder and glitter. My frame is covered in a mixture embossing powders and glitters, all mixed together in a pot ... just a pinch of this and a pinch of that ... not very precise at all. It took just two coats of the mix to achieve the effect aimed for.
The seam binding was sprayed with water, crumpled up and left overnight to dry to get the shabby effect. The rose was already tinted with a pale mauve shade but the edges of the petals have also been tipped with Victorian Velvet DI. I didn't have any of those pretty pink petals that Lenet used so I punched some from a snippet of pink card and touched the tips with distress ink too.
For more information on how I made the card and a list of the materials used, including the recipe for the embossing mix, please visit my blog.

May "MAY I?" Challenge by Melania
Guest Design Team Member Melany submitted this layout for the May "MAY I?" Challenge. She said:
For the monthly challenge I was brave and used a work made by a wonderful italian scrapper.
Of course i am not so good as her and my Lo is not a scraplift of hers
The story behind the Lo inspired me so much. It’s Itterino’s story, a little yellow pelouche not so loved in the beginning but then, become very special :)
I have a deep love for my cuddle soft toys friends :) and i wanted to tell the story of Pingu, a very special Penguin from New York city.
“Hi, I am Pingu, I was adopted by Melany from Museum of Natural History in N.Y. When we came to Italy, she kept me in arms at the Kennedy airport and a policewoman asked her “Who is he?” and Melany told “He’s Pingu” and they didn’t touch me :)
Some year ago a new friend arrived, Charlie, coming from Salem, we are both American. The other cuddle toys accepted me and Melany loves me, she takes a lot of pics of me and she even created a facebook group “The Pingu’s friends”
Bye Bye. “ Pingu :)
This is my friend's work, her name is Federica, Kushi, for the scrap world.

Reader Cindy submitted this altered box for the May "MAY I?" Challenge. She said:
My project is an altered box and is inspired by a tutorial on ‘Zuzu’s petals’ http://zuzuspetalsstuff.blogspot.co.uk/
I have used fusible film heated with a heat gun to get lots of texture plus paint, embossing powders, metallic rub ons, fibres and beads to give a rich lustrous finish.
Full details are on my blog at this post http://plantslist.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/may-art-draw-may-i-share-this-project.html. The name of my blog is Plant’s List.
This item is also the giveaway on my blog this month.
Many thanks,

My LO is based on the work of Sasha Farina- she is a member of the Crate Paper design team and I always love their blog for inspiration
her personal blog is here
http://www.sashafarina.com/
My inspiration came from a particular LO- here
http://www.sashafarina.com/2011/10/emotional-scrapper.html
because I loved the butterfly and the sweep of things across her page but I was also inspired by other LOs and used her layering techniques, her long titles with a mix of letters and her small photos
Hope this is OK

Here is my "May I?" submission for May.
Aaron Booth(http://aaronsbooth32.blogspot.com) is a paper crafter who I really admire. I totally CASEd a recent card I found on her blog to create this card for my Mom for Mother's Day. I used her card design but changed up the colors and elements a little bit. (All supplies are from Close To My Heart.) I think this one is very fitting for my dear mother. Happy Mother's Day to all the moms of the world!

May "May I" Challenge by Stacy H-W
Hello everyone!! Stacy here to share my May I project with you today. As soon as I heard of this challenge I immediately knew who I was going to be inspired by because I am inspired by her everyday. Denise at Lala's World Blog is one of the most exciting, inspirational scrappers I know. She actually is the person who introduced me to scrapping. I can't believe that 2 years ago I had never scrapped!!
Layout made by Denise at Lala's World
For this challenge I went to Lala's World and when I scrolled down I found the perfect layout to scraplift. I really just loved the use of circles and the soft feel of her work. I decided to make a layout using a photo of our daughter. We adopted her from China and the photo is from the time while we were waiting...us in the US....her in China.
Layout made by Stacy at Scrap with Stacy (with a little help from her dd in the photo)
As you can tell I used the same basic layout but did change a few things. I used a ton of flowers from my stash. I am laughing because I just realized that my daughter added that pink flower bling to the middle of the center circle. I guess she didn't think I was quite finished!! LOL She is 4 years old now and really into bling. She told me multiple times today that she loved my paper (meaning she loves my layout). I'm glad she likes it since it is for her book.
I hope you are inspired to join in on this challenge and I hope you pop over and check out all the great projects that Denise has on her blog. You won't be sorry you did!!
Until next time...happy scrapping!!!

Here is my layout:
I have been struggling with these photos because she is wearing a hot pink shirt and the background is rusty red colored bricks. Nothing seemed to work. This was the perfect solution. May "MAY I?" Challenge by Joan
Design Team Member Joan submitted 2 ATC's for the May "MAY I?" Challenge. She said:
For the May Challenge, I made two ATC's inspired by Tim Holtz. I used the following Tim Holtz products: stamps (the men and the diagram stamp), embossing folder (the gears), metal game spinner, brad and sprocket and Distress inks!
I added some tissue tape and a stamp by Glitz (the hot air balloon). The men were stamped, cut out and then pop dotted to the ATC.

Guest Design Team Member Nathalie submitted this layout for the May "MAY I?" Challenge. She said:
Here is my project for the May "May I?" challenge. As soon as I read about this month's challenge, I thought about Miss Smith. I am an avid follower of her blog for the simple reason that I admire her work, I might be her biggest fan! :) So I asked her if I could create a page based on this one here: http://www.journalofcuriousthings.co.uk/2012/03/ill-fated-trip.html
and she has kindly agreed!
As you can see, I stayed pretty close to hers, borrowing the overall design but also some of her great elements like the banner, the mixed alphas and her "trademark" layering + paper clips.
I love the result of this lift!
Thank you once again for the chance of guest designing for Scrap Our Stash this month and thank you Kirsty for allowing me to borrow some of your talent!

May "MAY I" Challenge by Charlotte
Design Team Member Charlotte submitted these layouts for the May "MAY I" Challenge. She said:
This was a really fun challenge for me because one of the things that I love best about scrapping is that there are so many great artists and blogs out there that provide us with inspiration. I used a layout done by Lynn ( aka scrappyhappymom) that she did of her very cute puppy . Here is the link to her blog with the layout of hers that I used. http://scrappyhappymom.blogspot.ca/2012/04/this-is-what-life-is-all-about-scrapfit.html
What I loved about the layout that I scraplifted is that it had a really fun style. I tend to be very linear when doing layouts and I loved that everything was at an angle. I think it adds a really "fun" feel! I also loved the spray of embellishments across the bottom of her layout.

May 'MAY I?' Challenge by Sarah
Stuck close to home: Snarf my idea from an Artist who also lives here in Ottawa and who's work I can (and do) spend much time admiring. She does it all: jewelry, painting, journaling... and it's all just so pretty.
The copied work is HERE.
The Blog post around it is HERE.
Really liked the ripped bits and pieces in this,
As well as the 'highlighted' framed photo.
Though it itself is not a Scrapbook Page, it works as a great template for one.
Been falling behind in my personal goal to have at least 1/2 of our Wedding Scrapbook done by the end of 2012, so I used this challenge as an opportunity to git'anuther page done.
The pictures were taken by a dear friends Mother (Barbara McGoey) who attended our wedding. She is a FAB-u-lous photographer who took a bunch of really awesome candid shots.
Most the the ripped up bits are either a copy of our Wedding Invitation or the online RSVP information card.
Background paper is Little Yellow Bicycle 'Lucky Me' line.
Flower sticker strip (snipped into 2 pieces) and Lucky Journal block (ripped in 2) is also from LYB 'Lucky Me' line.
Other paper strips are unknown, bits I found in the scrap pile that matched well.
Bling-y Double Hearts and 12" strip (snipped into smaller pieces) are from KaiserCraft.
Metal Frame around the Cake is Making Memories.
The Dreams sticker is from K&Company.
Ribbon was a bit I got in a Swap, er... years ago... *blowing the dust off*
Hoping that she likes my 'May I?' take on her project,
Thank-You for the inspiration Wendy!

MAY I Challenge by Tamara
Design Team Member Tamara submitted this for the May MAY I Challenge.
She said: For the May Challenge I chose a blog that my DIL has called B Lovely. She is into fashion and fashion sense. You can check it out here http://blovely-blog.blogspot.com/
the inspiration from her blog that I incorporated into my layout is her logo. I love the soft sweet blue with a light white grain on Kraft. This is a layout of my DH and I on our 34th wedding anniversary. I enjoyed doing the journaling with some words from the Melody Ross design colection. My title name came straight from the blog. I used some light blue prima flowers to give just a touch of class. I also used ruffled ribbon and blue and brown buttons to finish my creation. Thanks for looking!
