"This was a fun layout to create because I love to play with my inks and sprays! I wasn't quite sure how I was going to create the background so I played around and created multiple peices before I created this one. I finally got to use my Prima stamps that I had been wanting to use and for the challenge, I made handmade flowers & pinwheels."

"Circles have always been a challenge for me so I knew this sketch would be tough, but I like that! I want to be challenged to get me out of my comfort zone. My papers are by Teresa Collins and my circles are made from a varitety of circle paper punches. I just placed them accordingly and stayed pretty to true to the sketch. And how cute is my scooter chipboard piece?! I was determined to use it so these pics of a girlfriend and I on vaction are perfect!  

To complete this challenge my fringe flowers are homemade and quite easy to make. I'll be having a tuturial soon on how to make them, so please stay tuned and stop by for a visit  http://scrappydaze2012.blogspot.com/"

"Used a tag with journaling instead of 2 pics for the sketch and TRIED to incorporate circles-it was a challenge lol!! My DD is Dorothy in her 2nd costume of the Wizard of Oz series. My mother is a sewing master of custom costumes and she was already Glinda the Good Witch the year before so this year, it was Dorothy. My handmade flowers are kinda simple since they are the only ones I learned at a make n take at my LSS!! All papers are from the Crate Paper Kiss Kiss collection."

"Meeting Adele" LO by DT Becky

This is what Becky shares with us about her layout:

"This one time I met Adele. No big deal, right? She performed a private holiday concert at a winery in Portland. My friend knew the owners so we were able to attend the event by working as security. I remember Adele being really sick, which explains why she looks miserable here. However, I was really excited and grinning madly.  

I started with a mixed media background using clear gesso and an array of spray inks. I was happy to read the twist for this challenge and knew exactly what I was going to do for the handmade flowers. I make flower accesorries out of die cut wool felt, freeform embroidery, and buttons. I liked bringing together two of my crafty hobbies."

"This was a fun sketch to work with. I think I've found some even OLDER scrapbook papers than the oldest I've used recently. But, I loooove these papers so much! They are Heidi Grace Designs and they are SOOO cute! I continued with the doodling on my layout to go with the doodling on the scrapbook papers.  

I used a Spellbinder's die to make my flowers. This was a great challenge becuase I've had this die for quite some time and have never used it.

In this layout I used photo of friends and I, in front of Bellagio water show here in vegas. I love the circles in this sketch, so I decided to used my circle punches and outlined all the circles, then I added some watercolors on the background and my favorite handmade flowers that I made last month.

Pretty interesting twist don't you think? And that sketch!!! How fun! There is a lot of ways to be creative with this challenge.

To create my flowers, I cut out random sizes of circles, then crinkled and distressed them. Then I layered, doodled, and added some twine and a brad.

"Always Be YOU" Lo by DT Steffanie

Hi Crafters! 

Happy Saturday!  Today, Steffanie is sharing with us her beautiful layout:

This is what Steffanie says about her layout:

What a fun sketch! At first I found the circles a little intimidating. But then suddenly I saw a giant Mickey head and the creative juices started flowing! I pulled out this collection from Fancy Pants which I felt was perfectly fitting for these photos of my husband being...well, himself. I had fun splattering mist and stamping painted circles. This layout just really came to life for me. 

Admittedly, I wasn't all too creative with the handmade flowers. These are tiny punched flowers that I scattered across the page. I lifted the edges a bit and placed black rhinestones in the centers. I am not a big user of flowers in general due to the more masculine pages that I tend to create. But this felt ok...it added to the overall goofy, whimsical feel of the layout. Thanks for the great sketch!

 "I live in south eastern Michigan with my husband and two beautiful daughters.
