Here's what Zsoka said about her layout:

"Hello, Zsoka here with you today! This time with a layout based on a sketch! I mainly do sketch based layouts for SOS only buy I enjoy them so much! I normally just follow the sketch as is because I always like them! Maybe I replace a photo by something else but other than that I stick to it. Here I used a journal card in place of one photo. For the circle I used a cut file from Kim Watson. I'm obsessed with my Cameo, you know that already...I even cut the teeny tiny bow at the bottom with it, so cute isn't it?! For the stash challenge I used the following: journal card, crimson, and lined paper (hope my background paper qualifies!).

Hope you play along with us this time too, we'd love to see your work!"

"Today" LO by DT Marie

Hello!

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!  We are kicking off the week with this fabulous layout from Designer Marie:

Marie said this about her layout:

"This month my +3 are jade, crimson and lavender. 

I've created my horizontal line with pieces of masking and joint tapes that I covered with white gesso. When it was dry, I added jade, lavendar and dark pink sprays to my composition using a brush. To complete my layout, I glued down a round resine shape, wire thread, tags, chipboard, flowers and red enamel dots.

At first I was a bit scared since I rarely use purple. But in the end, I really love my layout. Lavender brings a lot of softness to my page."

"Thanks for joining us again for this second challenge!! For the Sketch+3 challenge, I decided to take the journal card, Kraft paper, and lavender. I loved this selfie I took a little while ago and couldn't wait to scrap it! This challenge seemed just perfect for that- I loved using this paper with hints of purple in it which is such an uncommon color in scrapbooking. I can't wait to see what you guys pick and do for the challenge!!"

"Just Plain Wonderful" LO by DT Cassie

Let's kick off the weekend with this wonderful layout from Designer Cassie:

Here's what Cassie said about her layout:

"The second half of the month brings the fun sketch plus challenge over at Scrap Our Stash. This month’s sketch is a cute one! I love how many layers the sketch had. I wanted to use this vertical photo of when my husband’s family came to visit our new house, so I rotated the sketch to the left. I also extended some of the layers to work with my larger photo. The best part of starting with the sketch is the ability to change it up to work with your photo and style.

Although I love the lavender color it is pretty much never used in my scrapbooking, so when I saw this cute ampersand in lavender I decided to base the rest of the colors on my page around it. I ended up using Jillibean Soup (the family sticker), Kraft (background paper), and Lavender (ampersand, lovely time sticker and enamel dots)"

"Not only is the Challenge to use the Sketch as your inspiration, you also need to include ONE item from each of the 3 Lists at the bottom! This really makes it interesting - and if you are like me - you will be going through your stash, and finding "stuff" you forgot you had!!!!

For the +3 Challenge - I decided to use the following items from the Lists:

1) Jillibean Soup "Yellow Tomatoes" (the yellow lined base paper)

2) KaiserCraft "Vagabond/Nomad ( the pink flowered paper )

3) Lined Paper ( the Jillibean Soup paper, along with lined embellishments from Theresa Collin's Far and Away Collection)

The photos in the layout are SELFIES that I took of my Mom and I at show of The Midtown Men at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, last May. Her Mother's Day gift last year was "Dinner and a Show." We had dinner at the restaurant at the theater before the show, and then enjoyed listening to The Midtown Men. Gifts like this, when we get to enjoy time together are my favorite! I love spending time with my Mom, we always have FUN times together."

"I love the overall design of this sketch so I kept my layout basically the same. I did make the central strip wider to accomodate my larger photos. I also made smaller banners mostly because I wanted to show off more of the patterns in this collection. My circle became larger and I chose clear gems to resemble water droplets to tie in with the theme.

List 2: Kraft 

List 3: Lined paper (the small tag)"

"Hi there, Zsoka here with you today! I hope you are enjoying our new challenge format, I know I do! I really love the book cover inspiration challenges - it's amazing how all of us interpret the same cover differently, how every tiny detail affects us differently; I really love to see it! I noticed that I often take inspiration from the colors, that's what my eyes take in first. Not this time though - or rather: even if the colors were the first thing I noticed about the book cover, I had to go in a different direction because I have absolutely nothing in my stash in this color combination ha! 

The title inspired me because my son is creating something every day and I remembered I have a photo where he is showing off his Lego truck he designed himself and points to his head that the idea came from there 😂. For clouds I found the perfect manufacturers strip full of clouds!

I hope I could inspire you to play along in one way or the other!

"I fell in love with those warm colors. They are soooooo gorgeous!

I chose orange as my dominant color, a color I do not use often, I must admit. Totally out of my comfort zone. I also used a few old Maya Road cloud chipboard to complete my flower composition."

"I was inspired by the layers of clouds on the book cover plus needing to use 2 or more clouds! I had just the cut file for it and was so excited to finally be able to use it!! I backed the segments with parts of the Hello Love collection, added some watercolor and thread- thought it was perfect to show this line isn't just for romantic love, but for the best love- sister love. Hope you find it inspiring and I can't wait to see what you all come up with!!!"

"At first I had no ideas what to do. I wanted to include the word creative. But I left that thought and came up with this, inspired by the yellow and orange at the book cover. I´ve also used the word YOU from the title of the book.
