"This is a FUN one - perfect for Valentine's Day! You must use Heart Patterned Paper and / or 3 or more hearts - I decided to do both! I picked a photo of my hubby and I from "way back when" we were first dating in High School!

I decided not to add a title to the layout, and just did a little journaling in the bottom point of the big white heart that is on the base page. I've had this paper for-ev-er and when I saw the BIG Heart on the sketch - I dug through my stash to find it!! I hope I've inspired you to play along with us this month at the Scrap Our Stash blog - I can't wait to see your entries!

"Happy 2019 everyone!! I love this FUN new Challenge!! I chose a photo of my family and I when we were at Epcot. My son has on a Captain America Shirt, as we spent this day at Walt Disney World, as part of a 7 day Marvel Day at Sea Cruise from New York to Florida and back, so that is my take on the Cartoon Challenge. 

For the sketch - I included the long large banner, along with a tag tucked in behind the photo.

I did include more than 3 stars on my layout. I had this fun Captain America embellishment that I found at a Scrapbook Expo a few years ago, I used 2 different star patterned papers, a white enamel star, and some clear and regular star stickers.

I can't wait to see what you create!"

"I fell in love with the colors and style of PhotoPlay's "Vintage Girl" Collection. I've had it in my stash for a few months and couldn't wait to use it. From the LEFT Sketch - I used 2 square photos, title placement, and paper layering behind the photos.  
From the RIGHT Sketch - I used the scalloped strip across the middle of the layout, along with flowers and leaves for the embellishments.
For my (3) like items - I used: 3 pink flowers, 3 black gems, 3 enamel brads, 3 different fibers.
I hope you find some YOU time and can play along with us this busy month!

"Here is my layout for your inspiration. I used patterned paper with snowflakes along with wooden s...nowflake embellishments too!

I always find it hard to do winter layouts. I never seem to have many winter photos - and I find that I really don't take too many photos during our winter holidays. I think it is because I am too busy enjoying the time spent with family, to stop and take photos. Also, I'm not a big fan of snow and cold weather - so I don't stay out in the cold very long either! LOL!

BUT - I did make my husband pull over to the side of the road so that I could get out and capture this photo of these majestic old trucks that would always greet us on the way to see our son when he went to college in New Hampshire a few years back.

I hope you get to find some time to play along with us during this busy month!
Wishing you and your families Happy Holidays, filled with memories you will always treasure!"

Sherri said this about her layout:

"Love these Blend-a-Sketch Challenges! For my layout I used photos taken on our October 2017 Disney Magic Cruise, out of NYC. Minutes after my son's fiancee' Rob proposed to him on Deck 10 by one of the smoke stacks, Capt. Hook came out of a nearby door, and congratulated them! He pulled them inside and posed for this photo, as it was a little windy outside.  
I just LOVE the smiles on all 3 of their faces!

From the LEFT Sketch I used, the round circle element, along with layers of long strips of different patterned papers some with decorative edging.
From the RIGHT Sketch I used a 4 x 4 and a 4 x 6 photo and reversed their placement. There are banners added in the top right corner, along with some on the bottom left corner of the layout too.

"Here is my take on this month's Challenge. I've included a bunch of chipboard stars on this layout, along with the added challenge to include the quote : "Don't settle for the Little Dream, go on to the Big One!"

This is a photo of my husband, my oldest son and I on our 2014 Disney Magic 14 night Trans Atlantic Cruise! The quote for the challenge also reminds me of the saying "Go Big or Go Home!" - and that how I feel about Disney Cruising - the longer the better - and there is nothing wrong with hanging around with Mickey and the whole Gang! Life is too short not to go for the BIG DREAMS! I hope you play along with us!"

Blend-A-Sketch Challenge:

Sherri said this about her layout:

"For this month’s challenge - I used the background from the left sketch - but I flipped it so the larger piece of patterned paper was on the top of the layout. I also used the "tag" element from that sketch by making the banners into tags, and I also added round circle embellishments. From the right sketch, I used 2 photos, the patterned paper layering and the banner shape. I added the 2 red circles to go along with the dash circles on the sketch. I also used the diagonal patterned paper for the banner on the far right.

I used photos of my hubby and I enjoying a "drink of the day" on our 2016 Disney Wonder Westbound Panama Canal Cruise. I've collected lots of "cruise" paper over the years and actually mixed papers and embellishments from 3 different manufacturers in this layout! I am very happy with how it turned out.

"I was inspired by the animals in the movie - in particular the cute Koala. I had photos of Koala's from our July 2011 family trip to the San Diego Zoo, and I knew I wanted to use them for this challenge. I also used some of my favorite BLING - Jillibean Soup Wood Sparkles - that I've had I my stash for a very long time!

Sherri said this about her layout:
"Here is my layout for your inspiration. I used photos from our Disney Wonder Alaska Cruise Excursion while in the Port of Skagway, Alaska. 

For the Challenge - the background is based on the sketch on the left. I replaced the glasses with the fence at the bottom, and spread the journaling lines out above and below the photos, using chipboard words and tiny alpha stickers. From the right sketch, I used a large chipboard shape, similar to the one in the sketch, and covered it with the plaid paper. I also used 2 photos. I like to cluster my embellishments in Three's - so I have 3 groups of 3 buttons for the added challenge.

"I sure do love a good challenge and this certainly was one for me!! If you've seen my previous layouts - you know that I like to use lots of "STUFF" and lots of layers. I felt a bit worried as to how I was going to handle the "grid" requirement of this challenge. Well, I have to say - I really like how this came out, and I had lots of fun with this challenge! I encourage you to give it a try and play along with us!

I used photos from our 2012 Disney Wonder Cruise to Hawaii to celebrate out 30th Anniversary. For the added "Transparency" requirement, I used an acetate overlay from the Kaisercraft Tropicana Collection.

"I’m a huge lover of Starbucks, and love to visit Starbucks locations wherever and whenever we travel. The photos on this layout are from Starbucks Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. It was one of our Ports of Call on our 2016 Disney Panama Canal Cruise.
I used the 2 photos from the left sketch, along with different papers and washi tape behind the photos, and the placement of some of the embellishments. From the right sketch, I used the vertical placement of the patterned background papers, along with the scalloped edge - that I reversed, and used it for a journaling line.

"For the movie challenge - I decided to use "friendship" and "laughter" as my inspiration. I started with a fun photo of my friend Janice and I at one of our favorite crop weekend events! The theme was Circus, and we had a great time at the "Big Top!"
These weekends are always filled with lots of FUN and Laughter! (I'm not sure which one of us is Thelma and which one is Lou...ise! LOL!!)

I've added the word FRIENDS to the photo with some mini alpha stickers and I tucked a journaling card behind the photo.

"Hi Scrappy friends! I hope you are all enjoying your summer, and that you find some scrappy time for yourself!

I've been dealing with a broken right wrist

- and can't wait to get my cast off.  

It has not stopped me from scrapping - but I can't wait to get my right hand back!! 

Here is how I drew inspiration from these 2 FUN sketches.

I used the 2 sections of the base page as inspiration from the LEFT Sketch. For the RIGHT sketch I went with the vertically stacked photos, top left "banner" embellishment, horizontal banner line and I clustered 3 flowers - as apposed to the 3 hearts in a row from the right sketch.

I used lots of "stuff" that I've had in my stash - FOREVER!! - Including Rub-ons!! Oh - and don't forget to add those SEQUINS - that is the added part of the challenge!

From the Left Sketch, I used 3 small photos, a "ric rac" paper border between the 2 base papers, torn paper, title on the upper right corner.

From the Right Sketch, I used the split base page, general paper placement, staggered photos and stars.

In honor of Father's Day this month, I selected a photo of my wonderful Dad. He is the most amazing gardener! He devotes so much time, and takes such pride and pleasure in his garden! I am a very lucky daughter, as we live right next door, and I have my own personal produce stand at my finger tips!! Although these photos are of some of last year's bounty - they still ma...ke my mouth water for the first "Jersey Tomato" sandwich of the summer!!�

Here is how I decided to blend the 2 sketches -

From the Left Sketch - I used the small rectangle pieces

From the Right Sketch - I used one photo, the title on the bottom left of the layout, and I replaced the star embellishments with flowers. I also included 4 different wood veneer embellishments for the added challenge too!��Here is my Layout for your Inspiration - I used a favorite photo of my wonderful parents since this month we celebrate Mother's Day and next month we will celebrate Father's Day.

"Here is my layout for your inspiration. I used a photo of our 2 Portuguese Waterdogs. Maggie is on the left, with the white paws and chest, and Tino is on the right with the blue bandana. They had just come from the groomers and looked so cute - so I had to take their photo!

I stained a wood veneer dog embellishment with Black Soot Distress Stain, for the added challenge element.

"I’m loving this Blend-a-Sketch Challenge and I hope you are too! SO MUCH FUN!!
I used photos from a very special trip into NYC, with my friends Melodie and Kimberly who were visiting from out of state, on Thanksgiving Weekend, before their cruise, and my friend Marianne from NJ -who kindly drove us into the city that night. We had such a fun time, and the play was just “Beautiful!”
Here is how I blended the sketches - I used 3 photos, as in the Sketch on the LEFT, and Circles and the basic layout - (tweaked a bit,) from the layout on the RIGHT.
Not only did I add black, red and yellow enamel dots, I added some red Polka Dot paper Washi Tape, and I used BoBunny’s "Double Dot" Yellow Cardstock for the Polka Dot Challenge too!
I hope I’ve inspired you to play along with us this month, and can’t wait to see how you will blend the 2 sketches!
