"Winter is one of my favorite seasons to scrapbook as I love the shine and sparkle that usually comes with snowflakes, and goodness knows we have plenty of those where I live in eastern Canada! Looking at the image inspired this layout featuring a picture of my boyfriend and I being all warm and cozy during a sunny Winter stroll which, obviously, ended with a hot cup of cocoa with marshmallows - yum! I wanted to bring out the beautiful colors of the image so I used one of my all-time fave Bo Bunny collections, Snowfall, with its glittery papers along with metal trinkets and glitter-coated brads from the same line. I also added circles inspired by the christmas ornaments and the cups on the photo. A perfect Winter layout for a perfect Winter day! Here's to hoping that you will play along this month!"

"Yummy mood board! First I was inspired by the color, which is perfect for the outfit of my daughter, and also the circles on the cup and ornaments, so I grabbed some blue and brown paper from different manufacturer and distress the edges and inked them using tim holtz distress ink, and took out this cork stickers from studio calico for my circles and I also used Heidi swap small circles stencil on my background with tim hotls distress ink, then I finally used this blue swirl bling from my stash and also added some sequins for more sparkle!.

"This challenge was a little tricky for me, tryin to stay within the color scheme, but I accomplished!

This layout is a photo of very few of some of my great scrapbook buds at the Ontario Expo this past October. The theme was Masquerade....very fun! I have met some very awesome ladies in the scrapbooking industry and I am so proud to have most of them as great friends today! We always have a blast when we are together!

Today I am sharing with you all my layout I created based on the

Stash "Photo Inspiration" Challenge:

I really love this WRMK/Teresa Collins collection! I couldn't wait to use it and this

photo inspiration below was perfect for it:

So obviously the colors from this photo inspired me.   Then the little gold and greenish balls inspired me to use pearl swirls on my layout.  I added rhinestone arrows at the top of the page for the "anything that sparkles" part of the challenge.

"The first thing the picture inspires me was its colors. I was excited to try to mix blue, grey and cream/brown to do something sweet. I have these pictures of my sweet niece and I want to try to do something sparkle. I begin with the background using gesso, mask and glitter to do butterflies. During the layout I use a little bit of pink, what I like on this kind of challenge is you begin with an idea, but many other ideas can happen along. Hope you like my layout and be inspired to play along us!"

We have such wonderful inspiration from our Design Team.  To start off the month, Steffanie brings us this beautiful winter wonderland layout:

This is what Steffanie said about her the challenge and her layout, 

"The fluffy white stuff on the tray of the inspiraiton photo made me think of snow. We don't get snow very often where I live so when we were blanketed in white fluffy-ness this past February, it was a memorable occasion! It's just so beautiful...so perfect...so pure...so quiet. I love snow! 

For this layout, I misted the background first to get that snowy feel going. I continued the feel of falling snow by adding snowflakes and (for the sparkle factor) some sequins. I chose silver washi and a silver journaling pen to give the page that extra shine. I'm very pleased with how it all came together!"

"I'm thrilled to be asked to be guest designer here at Scrap Our Stash 

I was born and raised in Northern Ireland but now live in Alaska with Dan (husband of 17 years), son Nathan (16), daughter Lauren (14), 3 cats - Athena, Meow and Deshka and a Chesapeake Bay retriever Willou.  I have been scrapping since 2004.  I mainly scrap paper pages and cards but also dabble in digital scrapping and canvases.  I would say my primary style is bold and graphic although I also mix up my styles frequently. I  love to think outside the box, to add unique elements to my page and a little tongue-in-cheek humour. I love to play with embellishments and tweak sketches to make them my own.  Aside from scrapping I also love to mountain bike, play racquetball, travel and do home improvement projects.”

"When I saw the challenge, the first thing I thought of was how thankful I am for my youngest. He just turned 3 and is full of life but is the sweetest thing ever. For stash items, I used patterned paper, letter stickers, die cut (number 3), chipboard shapes (heart and stars), a tag, an arrow paper clip and baker's twine."

I'm so thankful for my parents. Who were always there for me and supporting me in everything I've done. I miss them a lot and think about them all the time. So, this layout is about them.

And my five stash items are: patterned paper, washi tapes, twine, paper clip and buttons.

I couldn't explain why I've chosen these stash items. I just love them and these are the most useful items for me to scrap."

Here's what Kate said about her layout:

"My young niece (pictured) lost her mother last year and I think about her all the time. But, since she lives in another state with her dad, I don't get to see her. BUT, I got to go on an unexcpected road trip to KY in August and she got to stay with me for 2 days! I was THANKFUL for all the things we crammed into those 2 days; she is a joy and such a wonderful kid! My heart was bursting with joy!!!

My 5 supplies that are always my go to's are:

1. Patterned Paper (My name is Kate and I am a PAPER addict)

2. Gold accents (again, I need a 12 step program)

3. Enamel dots (love all the colors and they just add a quick finishing touch to the page)

4. Paper flowers on PP (cause handcutting is my thing)

5. PL letterpress chipboard/cards (for their versatility)"

"Spontaneous Adventure" LO by DT Claire

Today DT Claire is inspiring us with this lovely layout:

This is what Clair said about her layout:

"I love it when I'm working on a project and I can combine it with a challenge, such as with this layout. I am working on a new travel album about our spontaneous adventure to the Four Corners and came across this photo; which encompasses everything that I am "thankful for." I am thankful for my hubby and all our adventuring we have done over the years. This photo was taken on our way home when we made an unexpected detour to visit the Great Sand Dunes.

I also created this layout using all my favorite supplies. I LOVE my (1) mixed media supplies: watercolors, stencils, and textured paste. Then I added more favorite "go tos": (2) a flair badge, (3) some jute twine, (4) Thickers alpha stickers, and last but definitely not least, (5) enamel dots and wood veneers. All my "go tos" are to add texture, motion, and dimension to my layouts.

"Gift of Love" by DT Nicole

Today we have this lovely layout by DT Nicole to inspire us:

Here's what Nicole shares about her layout:

"Gift of Love" - What a beautiful sketch Rochelle Spears has designed for the sketch challenge this month! I love those strips of papers layered underneath the photo and the circle outline. I used a photo of me with 3 of my favorite people, my boyfriend Yves and our two nieces, Ella and Daphne. I am so thankful for all the joy, laughter and love that they bring to my life. As far as the stash challenged is concerned, I used the 5 products that I most often used in all my creating. 1. Stencils - I love to dabble in mixed media techniques and stencils are a must-have for any mixed media artist. I most often use mine with molding paste to add elegant and textured designs on my backgrounds. 2. Mists & Paints - After doing the stenciling, I add colour to my background using mists. Mists are also perfect to turn any embellishment into the perfect colour for your page. And anyone familiar with my work knows how much I love to dab white paint over my layouts to finish it off with a soft whitewash look. 3. Chipboard - I've been so blessed to be on the amazing 2Crafty Chipboard DT for more than a year now and I get loads of beautiful laser-cut chipboard to create with. 4. Flowers - My favorite style of scrapbooking is shabby chic so obviously, I love to use flowers, loads of them, of most of my creations. 5. Tags - Ever since I discovered tags, I can barely do one page without slipping one in some way, shape or form. Now, who and what are YOU thankful for?

"I am thankful for my daughter because she is completely 100% the love of my life. Everything I do, I do for her! I call her my miracle child because we tried a very long time to be blessed with her, and when we almost gave up...we were blessed. She is my angel, my rock, my heart and my love. 

In this challenge, we were to use 5 items from our stash. I used: 1.) Bakers Twine, 2.) Yellow Ribbon, 3.) Enamel Dots, 4.) Bella Blvd Alpha Dots, 5.) Wooden Flair and bonus...to add I used Heidi Swapps Sweet Cherry Mist / Spray, and used Bella Blvds Summer Breeze" paper collection.

So I scrapped my family that I am sooooo thankful for!! As as my stash…. there are sooo many that I am "thankful" for and believe me, I tried to fit them all on my page, but I didn't! lol But the 5 I did add was wood, enamel dots, twine, wash, and bling.
