Guest Designer
Laura Whitaker

"Hello! I am so excited to be back as a guest designer here at Scrap Our Stash, it is always such an honour to be invited. Let me tell you a bit about myself,

I live in Ontario, Canada in a tiny lakeside community with my husband. We have three sons, two of which are grown and live on their own and one that is at home with us. My passion for scrapbooking and papercrafting began about fifteen years ago and is still going strong! Through scrapbooking, I feel I can accomplish two things; a family memory album (or many) and an outlet for my creative side. I love that this is such a social hobby and feel blessed to have made many friends through scrapbooking. I love layers of patterned papers, embellishments of any type, creating sketches and playing with my Silhouette software designing my own cut files, I usually offer a couple of freebies on my blog each month.

I also run my own challenge site called Stuck?! Sketches, and am fortunate to be on the DT of an online and mobile store called ScrapMuch?. I have also recently joined the 2016 Design Teams for both Imaginisce and Simple Stories which is this scrappers dream come true! I would love for you to visit my blog, grab a free cut file or all of them, and maybe play along with some of my sketches!"
Laura Whitaker Designs

Thank you Laura for designing with us again, as always we are excited to work with you
and we love and appreciate the awesome inspiration you share with us!

Take a look at Laura's fabulous interpretation of this month's stash challenge.   Don't you just love her page design, vibrant colors and the super cute photos?

"1st Bath"
And this is what Laura shared with us about her page:
"I found inspiration from the colours in the book cover; as well as the animal (moose) inspired me to scrapbook about an animal. I printed out three photos of our dog, from a few years back when he was a pup - they are just perfect!"

Inspired by Laura's page and/or our challenge?
We would love to see what you create based on this challenge!

Thank you for stopping by and return tomorrow for more awesome inspiration from a member of our Design Team, inspired by our February Stash Challenge!

"Got Snow" by DT Steffanie

Hello!!

Today we have a wonderful layout to inspire you!  Check out Steffanie's layout here:
Here's what Steffanie shares about her layout:

"I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again…I love these word stash challenges! And this was a longer one using even more items! Here’s the breakdown for my layout:

D – doily
I – ink
E – eyelet
C – circle punch, photo corner
U – uniball pen (white to make faux stitching and outline letters)
T – tag, twine
S – stripes, snowflakes, sticker letters

I pulled out some softer toned papers for this one. I generally use a lot of primary colors or at least more saturated colors, so this is always a challenge for me. Since my son was wearing a very blue coat, I went with black and white for these photos to better coordinate with the papers. These delicate snowflakes had been in my stash for Years! So great to finally use them!"

Here's the challenge:

Please visit us tomorrow with more DT inspiration and the new DT will be announced!!!
How exciting is that!! :)

Stash Challenge #33 with Guest Designer Tone K.

Good Morning!!! It's time for the Scrap Our Stash

Stash Challenge #33

But before we reveal our challenge, meet our
December Guest Designer
TONE K.
"My name is Tone K. Jensen and I live in Norway under 20 minutes drive north of the capital Oslo. I am 46 years old live with my husband and son (15 years old). I also have a stepdaughter (soon 30 years old). I've always taken pictures and put them in albums, but I have been scrapping since 2004. The last two or three years I have also started making cards and I have relatively recently start with PL pages. I guess I am one of few that scrap everything and chronologically. But I love it, although I have only come to 2007 J (With PL everything goes much faster though).

Scrapping is my way to retrieve energy and relax. I do not know if I have any special style and if I have I do not quite know what category it falls under. I'm very fond of using stencil and mist and make LO with layers. Otherwise I use far too much time surfing around in the blogworld, but that's where I get inspiration."

Thank you Tone K.  for agreeing to be our guest this month!!!

Here's the challenge:
Please remember to list what items you used for each letter when posting your entry.
Entries linked up without a list will not be eligible for the prize drawing.

Entries are due: December 29th, 11:59 PM (PST)

NOTE: The objective of our stash challenges is to get you to dig into your stash, get creative and use up some or your buried, and hoarded stash, old or new. Therefore for the Stash Challenges you are to use items from your stash
(photos, objects in photos, etc are not considered stash items)
and...
You must use a different stash item for each letter and only once.
Click HERE for our challenge guidelines

Now that we have the challenge and the rules out of the way, it is time for a little
Stash Challenge inspiration.  Check out the fun, bright layout GDT Tone K. created inspired by our challenge:

Tone K. shared this with us about her page:

"I have used the following:
D -Dusty Attic chipboard
I - ink
E - torn Edges
C - circles - chipboard - bottle Caps
U - the letter U in the song title (this was a hard one)
T - tissue tape, Tim Holtz
S - stamps, scraps, metal embellishment from Storyteller

My son Daniel got a guitar from his Uncle an Aunt for his 7`th Birthday. :)  I do not know why he wanted a guitar because he could not play on it, but he liked to sit and try "play" on it ( I have to say that he can actually play a little guitar today...15 years old :) ).  When I got the challenge I thought some letters we fairly simple to find stash to, but the I, E and U is not very easy....especially the letter U. I struggled here, so I was very happy when I found a paper with notes and U in the song title :)"

I sure hope you get a chance to dig through your stash, create a layout and share it with us for a chance to win this month's prize:

Thank you for stopping by and we hope you return tomorrow for more
Stash Challenge inspiration from our Design Team.

Have a great day!
