August Challenge - Get Well Wishes & Crochet Flowers

Have I mentioned how excited I am to start as a full-time Scrap our Stash DT Member? So much that I wanted to celebrate with you all and send out some candy to everyone that participates in both the August Flower challenge and the Pagerize This #1 challenge.

So, hurry off and go create something. If you need inspiration for the August Flower challenge, I suppose I could share something ;)

Get Well Wishes

This flower was made using a tutorial posted by Nichole Heady's blog. I have totally fallen in love with these flowers and as a crochet-avid love how simple these are. The DMC floss is also perfect, since they are cheap and vary in color. These flower embellishments can be simple or decadent, depending on how their centers are chosen.

Get Well Wishes

If you are curious about a supply list for this card, hop on over to my blog.

So, now it's your turn. Remember, if you enter both the August Flower challenge and the Pagerize This #1 challenge, I will send you a little surprise participation candy. Just leave me a comment on this blog post and how I can get in touch with you.

  1. I love that pink on the brown kraft paper. Thank you for posting the tutorial. I have been thinking about crocheting some flowers of my own but didn't know how.

  11. Everyone - thank you for your lovely comments. I had fun making those. For those that do not know how to crochet, the only hurdle is to go buy a crochet needle and some yarn. I thought my girlfriend how to make these flowers in a matter of 2 evenings (each about 2 hours long) who had not had prior crocheting experience. She's a left-y too, so we had our share of laughs. If I can make them and teach them to someone else - it's not hard! In the mean time, don't forget there is participation candy. I never said what -- but do crochet flowers entice anyone? ;)
