Today's inspiration is this beautiful and fun layout from DT Jenni inspired by our current

Sketch with Stash Challenge!

 AND... as a BONUS Jenni has created a Start to Finish video to share with you:

This is what Jenni shared about her layout:

"For the stash part my papers included the large background piece from Dear Lizzy, the piece of striped paper from Amy Tangerine that I stamped on and the 6x6 My Mind's Eye behind the photo.

For embellishments I used several pieces of ephemera from Heidi Swapp, the vellum hearts & slide frames from Crate Paper and the gold banner flag from Studio Calico.

I used a couple chalkboard labels from American Crafts to help make my title pop!

I also made a video showing my process from Start to Finish.

"This time I used a photo by my son, Matheus.  He's always so happy and vibrant!  
I combined papers from 3 collections: 
(Anne Marie by Prima, Studio Chalk and Pretty Things by My Mind's Eye).
 Embellies are also from different collections:  
Title by Bicho Grillo, Hot Balloon by MME, flowers by Prima, Petaloo and etc.

 It was so fun to make this layout. I hope you like it too!"

"So Loved" Layout by DT Joefil

Today's inspiration is being shared by DT Joefil, inspired by our 

April Sketch with Stash Challenge:

Here is what Joefil shared about her page:

"This is the picture of my brother in law and my daughter during our visit to the grandparents lake house.

For this challenge I used three collections of papers from Recollections, the Create collection, the Neapolitan collection and Today, Tomorrow, Forever collection. 

This is the picture of my brother in law and my daughter during our visit to the grandparents lake house.

For my embellishments I used:

A butterfly die cut chipboard by Chatter Box, the stitched brad on the middle of the camera by Basic Grey, the acrylic frame on top of my photo by Chatter Box, washi tape, wood veneers by Studio Calico and a vellum envelop which I inserted a Dear Lizzy into with my journaling.

I added faux titching to the corkboard circle and heart and stamped "love this" with the arrow on the cirlce.  I also faux stitched on all the papers and on the top and bottom of the washi tape.

I hope you are inspired and play along!"

"This layout was fun, I thought it would be hard with using 3 different manufactures, but actually it wasn't! I usually like to mix and match! With this sketch challenge I used the following paperlines:

1.) Jilibean Soup (Cold Avocado Soup), 2.) Echo Park (Oh So Thankful), & 3.) American Crafts (Amy Tangerines Cut & Paste)..Fun, Fun, Fun!

For my embellies, I used the following:

 LYB Heart, Studio Calico Cork Arrows & Heidi Swapp Banner and other embellies.

Today's featured inspiration is this wonderful layout created by DT Dulcinea, inspired by our
April Sketch with Stash Challenge

This is what Dulcina share about her layout:

"I begin this challenge with the sketch and a single vertical picture of my teenage nephew. It's a great sketch for using patterned paper, and I wanted to use some I was collecting, but not using. Since I was using different collections, I stuck with blue and cream for making my papers match beautifully together

. For patterned paper I choose: Crate Paper (Sleight Ride and The Pier collections), October Afternoon (Woodland Park), Simple Stories (Urban Traveler Collection). 

For embellishments I used vellum, clip, button and some stickers from (K&Company, October Afternoon, Simple Stories, Studio Calico), and I finished with the cork board numbers and circles (from Studio Calico) to complete this great challenge.

 Now it's your turn! I want to see what you create!"

"This was a real challenge for me because I do not like to mix and match! When I have to complete a page, I always use papers and embellies from one same collection... 

For this layout I used papers from Crate Paper Boys Rule, DIY Shop and October Afternoon Daily Flash. 

Embelishments are from Crate Paper Boys Rule, Maggie Holmes and October Afternoon Daily Flash. The little circle on the right corner is corkboard.

Although mixing and matching collections is not Carol's thing, she did an awesome job mixing and matching her products to create a fantastic page!  If you are reluctant to mix and match, I hope Carol has inspired you to dig into your stash and match up some of your product to create a layout using this month's sketch!

a) 3 or more patterned papers from 3 or more different collections and/or manufacturers.

b) 3 or more embellishments from 3 different collections and/or manufacturers. 

c) Include one or more of the following items on your layout:

(This item does not count as one of your embellishments)

"Believe In Yourself"

"I think this is such a clever challenge! Most times I try to use the same manufacturer on a layout, which is sometimes difficult with limited product. By using multiple manufacturers, you get to use up some stash... Yay!! it's a win/win! I am totally into fussy cutting brushstoked titles lately! F-U-N and super frugal! Make your own personal brushstoked title with your stash and be creative!"

Lynn has done an excellent job mixing and matching her stash of patterned papers and embellishments as well as using corrugated board to add some texture to her page!

Today's amazing inspiration comes from our DT Megan:

This is what Megan said about her layout:

"When I think of a Scrapbook line with spring colors, I immediately think of Dear Lizzy. I used a lot of her Neapolitan and 5th & Frolic collections on this layout of my niece, Micah, and me. For the 3D embellishment, I added some butterfly embellishments from Basic Grey. I used a paperclip to hold the "2" in place. The journaling card I used was originally a 3x4 card that I cut in half. I wrote my journaling and added it to the lower left corner. I finished the layout off with a stitched banner."

Here's what Tanti said about her layout: 

"Spring has been always my favorite season of the year. So, to interpret the spirit of spring, I chose the colours light blue, pink, yellow, light green and purple for my layout.  From my stash I added the flower paper clip on the upper left corner of my photo. My journaling card is the green scallop square card under the title and the layers.   I think I've added enough 3D embellishments on this page. And what I like the most about this challenge is that I had a chance again to use up my leftover 3D flowers. Yay!

It's Friday! I hope you all had a great week!  Lets bring in the weekend with this adorable layout by DT Kerry:

Kerry said this about her layout:

Although I don't do Project Life I do like the grid format and the cute cards you can so easily add to your projects, so I decided to use the grid design for my Spring layout to keep it uniform and simple.

Spring colours are so fresh and happy, inspiring me to use these adorable photo's of our little cat enjoying the Spring sunshine in our garden recently.

I added black hand stitching for the grid and to anchor the little flower paperclip. My 3D butterfly embellishment sits on a Pebbles journal card that I trimmed so that it was about the size of the PL cards I used.

"I’ve been hoarding Heidi Swapp for as long as Heidi Swapp has had scrapbook products! So, for this challenge, I decided to pull some out and use them for this challenge. My paperclip is the blue geo-tag from Freckled Fawn clipped onto the pink paper. My journal card is one from Heidi Swapp’s Color Shine collection. I sprayed it with her teal spray. My 3D embellishments are from Freckled Fawn, too. They are the blue button sticker next to the photo of my pups headed out for a walk and the pink and blue bows towards the bottom right of the page."

We are going to inspire you today with this magnificent layout created by DT Jenni!

Jenni said this about her layout:

"This photo was from last summer, but I thought the vibrant, lush color of the grass was perfect for Spring! This patterned pattern from Studio Calico was the inspiration for adding circles of paint, as well as the loops my daughter made with her ribbon twirler. I adhered one photo right to the pocked journaling card and attached the speech bubble clip to it. I added LOTS of 3d embellishments, chipboard & wood buttons, to match the colors of paint. Now all we need is for the weather to realize it is Spring!"

"Hello Spring" by DT Joefil

Hello Crafters! Today we are bringing you some fun inspiration from our Dt Joefil:

Here's what Joefil had to say:

"In this challenge, I used a floral background because it reminds me of spring, and then I layered it with white cardstock, then I played with my watercolor and bubble wrap to create some texture. and then I used dcwv journal card the one behind the photo, and the ones to the left and right side of the photo is also a journal card from my stash, then my 3d embellishments are the flowers, the little bird and the little butterfly they're also from my stash, as well as the heart paper clip on the lower right side of the photo. for my title, I used recollections letter stickers and American crafts sunny thickers. I also added some washi tape and sequins.

Hope you got inspired and can't wait what you can create."

Spring is in the air!

I had to question whether or not the colors I used were springy enough...SURE they are! Pinks! Yellows! Blues!Yes! I used some fun stuff I had in my stash...and I fulfilled the challenge with using my small journal card below my picture, the cool Heidi Swapp 3d banner embellishment (which I made my title) and a paper clip I bought many moons ago when I was "supposed" to start smash booking!

Elizabeth said, "Goodness! What a challenge for me this was! Not really because I didn't have the supplies, but I had to find the time to sit and scrap. Life is like that and as I allowed myself to actually sit and create this and complete this challenge, it felt good! It reminds me of spring and how things bloom, they change, and I am in the process of doing both so this challenge for me was an amazing reflection of something I was missing! So thankful for challenges like this to get us to see that life all around is something to cherish!"

 DT Dulcinea shares with us this amazing layout inspired by this months stash challenge:

Dulcinea said:

"For this layout I began to choose the flourish Journal Card and it reminded me spring. Another thing I select were the butterfly Paperclip and some accordion flower for my 3D Embellish. Now it's time for some colors! I thought to combine the light green from the journal card with a color I am so scary working with. Lavender is beautiful, it's in right now and reminds me spring. Despite my fear about this color, I chose it for my background. I use some gesso and purple watercolor to make this tone. I grab more Journal Cards, a tag and many flowers and butterflies for some fun. I love this layout about my teenage niece! It's so good when you can work with something you afraid of and love the result of it."

For this challenge I chose many pinks and greens because these colors remind me of Spring... I used a journaling card from my PL kit (the one that says Oh Yeah) and a little tiny paper clip from my stash to hold a little heart on the up right corner of my picture. And for the 3D embellie i used the big Rose from Maggie Holmes collection.
