"#Selfie" LO by Rochelle Spears

Hey Crafters!

Today's inspiration come from …. me, Rochelle! :)
This was a very fun challenge for me!  I don't take too many selfies so this one will have to work.  lol   Nevertheless, I love to scrap photos of myself because I normally don't and I think we all should have pages of ourselves too! :)
I used Bo Bunny's Zip A Dee Doodle Collection.  To complete the challenge,  I used a polaroid frame from Recollections over my photo. I really enjoyed using this collection. :)

Hello Crafters!
Today's wonderful inspiration comes from our DT Dulcinea:
Duclinea said:
"I don’t like selfies, mine I say, but this challenge was a great excuse to write down a little about what is going on with my life. I use my selfie for that and some words. It’s a easy challenge and a fun one. Now, it’s your time for a selfie."

Do you have a "selfie" to scrap?  Lets see it! :)

"Me & My Boy" LO by DT Steffanie Seiler

Happy Saturday!

We are starting off this month with some fabulous inspiration from our DT like this one from Steffanie:
Steffanie said this about her layout:
This challenge was the perfect oppoortunity to scrap this photo taken recently of me and my son. We had just gotten our Slurpees and the latest mustache straws so, of course, we HAD to "take a selfie" and get this documented. I love that he is not afraid to get a little silly with me for the sake of scrapbooking! To complete the challenge, I used a small wood poloroid frame as an embellishment.

Enjoy your day!

August "Selfie" Stash Challenge:
"self·ie - a photograph that one takes of oneself with a digital camera or afront-facing smartphone, tablet, or webcam, especially for posting ona social-networking or photo-sharing website: selfies posted by teens onTwitter."
Create a layout using a selfie photo.  The photo(s) doesn't have to be "your" selfie… it can be anyone's selfie… as along as it's a selfie. :)  AND for the stash item, you must use a premade/packaged frame(s).

And now we are excited to introduce to you our
August Guest Designer
Jenessa Franco
Hi!  My name is Jenessa, and I live in Dallas, Texas with my husband NoĆ©, our son Santiago and our daughter Paolina. I first discovered scrapbooking in 1995, and I made my first album using construction paper and rubber cement...an absolute archival disaster! Fast forward to the present, and I've become quite passionate about this constantly evolving art form.Having always endeavored in arts & crafts such as drawing, painting and cross-stitching, scrapbooking has been such a natural progression for me.  My husband has been incredibly supportive of my obsession hobby by allowing me to utilize half of our family room as my own personal crafting area as well as hanging out with our kids when I need some creative therapy.

My blog link:
Here is Jenessa's fabulous take on the challenge:

Here's what Jenessa said about her layout:
I was glad for this challenge. I don't have that many selfies, and I have even less pages about me. So for this layout I used a photo I took of myself this past St. Patrick's Day. I was also glad to be challenged to use a frame, as I have a plethora of them in my stash that I rarely use. I cut the frame in half, and tucked each piece behind the layers so that it gave the illusion of being longer than it actually is.
Thank you Jenessa for providing this lovely inspiration and agreeing to be our August Guest Designer!

Now that we have provided a challenge and inspiration, along with the chance to win an awesome prize from Nani Ke Ola, it is your turn to dig into your stash and link up something wonderful to share with us.  :)

Make sure you stop by daily to see all the wonderful inspiration from our Design Team! :)

"Charmer" LO by DT Kate Blue

Happy Monday!

We are starting off the week with this beautiful layout by DT Kate:

Here's what Kate said about her layout:
"I really loved this sketch; it gave me a chance to dig in my stash and use this framed wood (it was plain but I painted it gold) that I got on clearance at my LSS! Got to share my love of burlap with some burlap ribbon that I received on Mother's Day & also tucked in some old stash scalloped ribbon from Making Memories (it looks like scalloped paper). Added in some handcutting of stash yellow and gold papers and some vellum from this awesome DCWV foiled vellum stack. Loved this picture that my sister took of my daughter while she and I were sharing a laugh at something; glad she focused the camera on HER"

Have a great day!!!!

"Bubbles" LO by DT Megan Beaubien

Hi!!

Today's inspiration comes from this fantastic Layout created by DT Megan:
Here's what Megan said about her layout:
"For my layout, I used a picture of my son blowing bubbles. He thinks he is so big now that he can blow bubbles by himself...well, when he is not spilling them! For my ribbon or trim, I added a ribbon in the shape of a banner to the right side of the photo. For my supplies, I started with an older Studio Calico kit - Double Scoop and then added various items from my stash."

See you back here tomorrow for more inspiration! :)

"Sister Forever" LO by DT Nicole Doiron

Hi all!!  Today's inspiration comes from our talented DT Nicole!  Here's her stunning layout:
Nicole said this about her layout,
"I was given this picture of my aunt Marie and her 2 sisters a while back by my mom. She asked me to create a special layout as a surprise gift for my aunt and I finally got around to doing it. I found that the SOS sketch with the small sized picture was the perfect design for it. And as for my stash, I added a piece of fancy lace trim on the left side of the layout. I'm very grateful for the inspiration and love the final result. I'm sure that my aunt will love it too."

Here's the sketch:

Make sure you upload your layout for this challenge and for the Le'ts Go Shopping Stash Challenge by July 29th for a chance to win the awesome prize from our Sponsor Queen Kat!

Today we start of this week with a beautiful layout comes form DT Leila:

I loved the sketch this fortnight and despite asking him something more clean, I opted to use the same designer for a fuller page.

"You" LO by DT Elizabeth Hellum

Happy Friday Crafters!

DT Elizabeth inspires us today with this lovely layout:
This is what Elizabeth said about her layout: " This was such a sweet and fun challenge. The sketch is pretty and I wanted to create a layout that was pretty! What better way to do this than scrap a photo of my daughter, Alyssa. I also mixed textures with the papers I used and kept the bottom portion of the paper so I could tie my twine there and bring the layout in to balance. I loved this sketch, keeping it simple yet popping it full with colors too!

Supplies: Pebbles Inc. Floral Lane With Delight papers, Studio Calico Classic Calico Dot One papers, Doodlebug Designs Petite Prints, Pebbles With Love You're Sweet papers, MME Miss Caroline twine, American Crafts Remarks Love Letter Peony stickers, Martha Stewart butterfly punches, Bazzill cardstock, Dear Lizzy date stamp, Pebbles Inc. "You & Me" LO by DT Dulcinea Silva

Hello!  Today we have a fabulous layout from our DT Dulcinea:
Here's what Dulcinea said about her layout:
"Such a fun sketch challenge for layering! It's a long time I didn't try it, so I take pictures, paper, vellum and ribbon for making my layout about my niece and nephew. I have used some “masculine” color, but with a “feminine” and romantic feel. Now, it's your turn to be inspired for this great sketch!"

Have a great day!

"Graceful Friend" LO by DT Steffanie Seiler

Hello Crafters!

Today we have a wonderful layout by our DT Steffanie.  Love how she used 3 photos instead of 1!

This is what Steffanie said about her layout:
"I'm not good at using just one photo on a layout so I expanded the entire "platform" to support 3 photos. And actually, there are 4 photos. The extra is tucked behind the larger one with a pull tab on the left. This is what I love about sketches---they're so easy to adapt to your own style or needs. For the stash part of the challenge, I dug into my huge ribbon collection and pulled out the bright green piece you see behind my title and embellishments. I helps to balance the neon green that I ended up with in my photos!"

Make sure you come back tomorrow for more inspiration! :)
