March Stash Challenge #24 ~ Guest Designer Lauren Colless

Its the first of the month so that means time to reveal our March Stash Challenge!

First a BIG THANK YOU to our March Sponsor

About Clique Kits:
"Like our tag line says, "Click. Connect. Create." our mission is to inspire and nurture a passion for memory keeping, one layout, one kit, and one friendship at a time. We honor the accomplishments of those who design the products we use (“designers in the spotlight”) and provide the human elements of belonging, connection, and acceptance to our peers by nurturing a diverse, global online community of like-minded crafters. Our all-in-one-kit philosophy allows for you to decide how to use products and maximizes creativity without limits. Our kits work for any format and style so that it is not necessary to subscribe to multiple kits for layouts, project life style scrapbooking, or card making and other paper-crafts. We make our kits good to the very last scrap with never-ending print as-many-as-you-want digital products like printables and cut files. We can help you use up your hoards of supplies and be a more productive scrapbooker. There are certain things we think you probably don’t need to add to your stash-we call it the filler and fluff (like solid cardstock). But we keep a school store just in case there’s something extra you ‘need’ to add to your kit. We support and are purveyors of other small businesses, indie designers, handmade products by other creatives, and eco-conscious and fair trade partners. Finally, we offer many opportunities to earn rewards for free product to save our subscribers money. Loyalty rewards for subscribing for 3 months, 6 months, and lifetime rewards are given and subscribers who blog can participate in our monthly Pep Rally (blog hops) and earn free product for doing what they love!

Meet our
March Guest Designer
Lauren Colless
"Hi, I'm Lauren Colless, and I was super excited to be asked to be SOS's guest designer in March! I'm a working mum to The Boy (9), two furbabies, and married to The Man. We live in tropical north Queensland, Australia. I have been creating things my entire life! I have dabbled in most arts and crafts, and some of my earliest memories are of stitching, painting, potting and drawing with my mum and grandma. I have been scrapbooking since about 2002 and making cards since 2008 My style is detailed but flat - I like to focus on the photo and the memory in most cases, although I do like to do the odd flowery, heavily embellished layout or project *wink*. I am an amateur genealogist and I so I know the importance of preserving memories, I journal on most of my layouts - even if it's on the back so that our stories are not lost to time like so many of the day-to-day stories of our ancestors. My biggest project to date is an ongoing album of The Boy's hearing journey - from the initial concerns through to diagnosis, hearing aids, cochlear implants, therapy and doing the things we never thought he'd do.... like play guitar!"

And for today's March Stash Challenge inspiration, Lauren has created the fabulous layout below to share with us:
Lauren shared this with us about her layout:
"My layout this month celebrates the close relationship between my son and hubby, but the journalling is about our son's first triathlon - he was so excited to participate (training wheels and all), and finished with a huge smile on his face. He was just so proud of himself, and we couldn't have been prouder of him either. I have used a combination of Kaisercraft (Garage Days), DCWV and Stampin' Up! paper, with lots of fussy cutting, inking and hand stitching!
This month's SOS challenge is STENCIL:"

S - SU! paper, stitching

T - tape, tags, twine

E - edging, embossing

N - numbers, "N01-D4D"

C - circles, cotton

I - ink

L - lemon twine

Thank you so much Lauren for agreeing to be our guest this month!!!
