Reader Karen submitted this layout for the August Flower Challenge. She said, "Here is my layout using handmade flowers, and also a close up picture of the flowers. I used a tutorial for "box flowers" that I found on the Cosmo Cricket blog, and I've put a link on my blog . I did a few things differently from the tutorial: First, I freehand cut the circles (quicker and quirkier than using a punch or die). Second, I distressed the circles a bit before assembling them. Third, under the button I placed another distressed circle to cover the center and add a layer. Thanks for looking :) Karen"
