January NEW Challenge by Wendy K.

Design Team Member Wendy K. submitted this layout for the January New Challenge.  She said:

I have decided (with the exception of CTMH stuff because I'm a consultant) that any new scrapbooking stuff I buy is going into a cubby at my desk and I'm going to really focus on using it right away so it doesn't get lost in my stash.  I really don't buy too much new stuff anymore and I am going to try with extra effort this year to use up the stash that I already have.  I did have a shopping trip lately and this Doodlebug  paper pack and stickers popped out at me and was the bulk of my purchase.  I was also able to add some things from my stash to the layout as a bonus.  The pictures are from my daughter's first Valentine's Day last year.  I used a sketch from Scrapboook Generations Sketches for Scrapbooking Volume 8.  All details are on My Scrapbooking Blog.

Now it's your turn to take the January NEW Challenge. The January Challenge is anything doing with NEW - it could be a new tool, a new product, a new technique, or the project could have somehing to do with NEW - like New Years Eve - Our New Home, etc!. Anything goes! Have fun sharing something NEW with us. To participate in the January NEW Challenge - just email a picture of your project along with a description to Scrappinpsycho@live.com

All submissions will be posted to The Scrap Our Stash blog and on January 31st a winner will be chosen, and given the opportunity to be a Guest Design Team Member for the month of March. This challenge ends at midnight central time January 31st.

  1. How adorable! What a cutie pie! Good for you in using up your stash! Keep it up!!!

  2. Adorable! Great design, love the heart diecut on the right. Sweet photos!

  3. The papers were a perfect choice for those cute photos! I agree...it's time to shop the stash a lot more in 2012!

  4. Wendy, this is a wonderful layout! I love all the photos you were able to get on the two pages!! And that paper is yummy. You sound very dedicated to using your stash this year. Good luck with that!! ha Stacy

  5. Lovely layout - a great idea to record your daughter's Valentines days, I'm sure she will appreciate in years to come. The photographs are terrific - she looks so alert and happy - and the papers are just right for them. I've taken the pledge to Use It Up this year so, like you, will be using up the stash I have rather than spending on new ... I'm running out of space :)

  6. Wow - great multiple photo layout. And the colors are perfect for Valentines! She is a sweetheart!
