"Where the Friends Are" LO by DT Cassie

Happy Tuesday!

Today, Designer Cassie is sharing her beautiful layout to inspire us.
Take a look:
This is what Cassie said about her layout:
"I love back to school time! Not just because my daughter will be back in school, but because I love school supplies. I love lined paper fresh from the package and I swoon over new pens. So imagine my surprise when I had to think of three school supplies to add into my layout. This actually proved a little harder than I was expecting. So I looked through my stash and found this adorable mustache paper clip and I knew exactly what I was going to create. I only changed up the sketch to fit my three smaller photos instead of the two square photos.

School Supplies: Staples, Paper Clip, Blackboard, Maps, Tap"

Happy Scrapping Saturday!!

Today's inspiration is from our Designer Sherri!  Here's her lovely layout:
Here's what Sherri shares about her layout:

"In the spirit of "September" being a "Back to School" month - This month's Sketch Challenge at Scrap Our Stash has a little "extra assignment" for you.

Not only do you have a GREAT Sketch to work with - we've added the requirement that you have to "ADD 3 School Items" to your layout too! FUN!

Here are the school supply items I used:
(1) Staples ( I used my big EK Success Fastenater Stapler with white and black polka dot staples.)
(2) Graph Pattern Paper for the journaling tag
(3) a Black Paper Clip
and an extra (4) Note book edge punch

We really had a great night! Lots of laughs, good food, a train ride with more laughs on the way home - and even if we were the oldest ones in the group - I don't think we look that bad for a couple married 31 years!

I hope you play along with us and can't wait to see what you will create with this Sketch and added challenge too!

And don't forget to use at least (3) different type of school supplies on your layout.

"School Days" LO by DT Tanti

T.G.I.F!!!

Here's some scrappy inspiration to kick off your weekend!! :)
Designer Tanti share's her fabulous layout:
Here's what Tanti said about her layout:

"My page is about my first teaching experience at our sons school. I volunteered to teach the kids about exotic spicery on „Research Days“. It was new for me but I had a lot of fun.

By the way, this challenge was a little bit challenging for me. Because I don't have much school theme in my stash.. But I did my best and I was happy with the result.
To complete the challenge I just followed the design of the sketch but I used only one photo instead of two.
The school supplies I used are: A note book paper, paperclip and scissors."

And don't forget to use at least (3) different type of school supplies on your layout.

"Drive Time" LO by DT Steffanie

Happy Hump Day! :)

Today, Designer Steffanie will be inspiring us with her lovely layout:
Here's what Steffanie said about her layout:

"This sketch was very inspiring for me. I can sometimes be a very literal scrapper, particularly when it comes to themes. The fact that this sketch looks school-ish really guided me in my thought process.

There isn't much change from sketch to page, in my opinion. The photo sizes are different. This seems to be one of the first things I change, either the size or the orientation or the quantity. Otherwise, the sketch stayed pretty true.
In case you missed my school items, I used staples, a paperclip, graph paper to make my tag and a notebook border punch. Four items in all!
I hope you have as much fun with this one as I did. Thank you, Juliana, for a great sketch!"

Here's the sketch:
Use at least (3) different type of school supplies on your layout.

Happy scrapping! :)

Sketch Challenge #30 with Guest Sketch Artist Juliana Michaels

Hello Scrappers!!
Are you ready for another Sketch challenge? :)
Before we announce the September sketch challenge, we would like to introduce our
September Sketch Artist:
Juliana Michaels
Here's a little bit about Juliana:

"Hi, I'm Juliana Michaels and I grew up in a creative household loving art, design, and making things with my hands. I give all the credit to my creative mother who loved to paint, sew and draw. My mother also photographed my daily life and kept all of these photos stored and displayed in photo albums. Nearly 15 years ago I found my true passion in paper crafting and scrapbooking thanks to the combination of being exposed to these creative activities and photographic documentation of my daily life. Since 2008 I have been creating and sharing paper crafting projects on my blog - 17turtles(http://www.17turtles.com/).

I've been a project designer in the paper craft/scrapbook industry since 2007. I have been fortunate to work for many top manufacturers including: BoBunny, Bella Blvd, Elle's Studio, SRM Stickers, Provocraft, Pebbles, Therm O Web and Jillibean Soup. My projects have been published in a variety of magazines and idea books and I have had projects displayed at the Craft and Hobby Association Trade Show."

Here's the awesome sketch Juliana created for our September challenge:

Create a layout inspired by Juliana's sketch

"Smile Selfie Time" Layout by DT Claire

Today's  inspiration is a non school themed layout created by DT Claire,
inspired by our
Claire shared this about her reveal:
"I used My Mind's Eye Chalk Studio II to create this layout. For my stash items: I used chalkboard paper for the background from list A; and alphas, papers clips, chalkboard embellishments, file folders, and numbers from list B.
This layout is from our San Diego trip we took this summer. It is always a challenge for me to create layouts during back to school days. But I am always up for a challenge and thinking outside the box. I thought these photos in a bank vault went very well with the chalkboard theme. I can't wait to see what you do with the back to school stash challenge.
And it doesn't have to be school themed."

Claire's awesome take on our "Back to School" Stash Challenge is an excellent example of how thinking out of the box, will allow you to use various themed items in your stash to create various types of pages.

Inspired yet to dig out your school themed supplies to create a page and share with us?
We would love to see what you come up with!

Thank you for visiting us today and make sure you stop back by tomorrow for more Design Team inspiration!
