Rochelle shared this about her layout :
"Happy New Year!!! My goal this year is to scrap photos that I have been meaning to scrap…. but never get around to it. Usually this happens if it doesn't fit into one of my DT assignments or a challenge I want to participate in. So… for my first SOS layout this year… here is a photo of my sister and her husband on Thanksgiving in 2013!
I used a sketch from Bev Code (Sketches in Thyme
and for the SOS word challenge TWINE I used:

T - Twine
W - Wood (hearts)
I - Ink (around the edges)
N - Number (date)
E - Enamel shape (arrow)

I just love these stash word challenges! It really helps you dig into your stash and use what you have on hand!!! Love it!"

And here is the page I created inspired by the challenge:
"Life is Like a..."
"Using the January sketch from my personal blog combined with my
Scrappy Friends Challenges, I created this page using
October Afternoon's "Travel Girl" Collection.

Here's how I completed the elements of the challenge:
T ~ Twine, Ticket, Thickers,Tabs, Travel Girl Collection (OA)
W- Wood Veeners
I ~ Ink (Pen used to outline patterned paper)
N ~ Notebook Punch
E ~ Ephemera"

Design Team Introduction ~ Tracy Thompson Basinger

Good Morning!
We are back on the blog today with our final Design Team introduction!
Meet talented designer and new member to the Scrap Our Stash team:
Tracy Thompson Basinger
"Hi there! Tracy here and I'm from NW Indiana.
I live a blessed life with a great guy and together we've created and raised a happy/loving blended family of four. I started scrapbooking in 2003, by taking a local class out of curiosity, and I've been addicted ever since. In the last few years I have been able to spend more time creating and it's becoming more of a lifestyle rather than a hobby. It's really hard to pinpoint my "style" since I am all over the place. I love to try new techniques and to venture out of my comfy zone, but I do like a clean look. My number one weakness right now are those cute little wooden accents. I just love them and you will probably see some type on all of my layouts. I am so thrilled to be here and looking forward to creating with this group of talented ladies!"
Tracy's Blog: Scrappy Daze

Tracy it is a pleasure having you on our team and we are excited and looking forward to all of the awesome inspiration you will be sharing with our followers!

"Such a cool date!
Wouldn't you agree?
It's the last consecutive date that we will see in our lifetime so I had to scrap it.

This is the first ever stash challenge for me and I have to say "I loved it!" It was so fun digging through my stash and actually finding items I forgot I even had and what a great way to use it up.
My items used to spell TWINE are as follows:

T - transparency
W - wood veneer
I - ink (around edges)
N - numbers (title)
E - enamel dots

Visit my blog for more details
Happy scrapping to you!"

Design Team Introduction ~ Becky Springer

Hello friends!!!
Welcome to our tenth Design Team introduction!
Meet talented designer and new member to the team
Becky Springer
"I live in Portland, Oregon with my partner, Jayden, and our two french bulldogs.
By day I'm a college instructor and adviser for at-risk youth. I have always been artistically inclined, drawing and painting from a young age and taking art classes throughout school. I discovered scrapbooking in 2005, but then my focus turned to other forms of creativity, such as quilting and embroidery. After taking an art journaling class this past year, I discovered mixed media and reclaimed my love of paper crafting. It sparked a renewed passion in all things scrapbooking and I happily discovered a community of like-minded folks. My approach to the craft feels different this time around, as it's messier, less refined, and more expressive. Now I'm dreaming in color, imagining new layouts, playing outside the lines, and making time for art journaling, card making, and scrapbooking every chance I get."

Becky we are honored to have you as part of our team and we are definitely looking forward to all of the awesome inspiration and creations you will be sharing with us!

Becky has created this adorable layout to share with us, inspired by our
Enjoy!

"Let Your Light Shine"
Becky shared this about the challenge and her reveal:
"I'm so excited to share my first layout for Scrap Our Stash! This layout was inspired by sweet baby Isabella, a nursery rhyme, and every type of star I could find in my stash.
T= Theresa Collins rub-on
W= Wood veneer stars
I= Ink.
I used an assortment of mists to create a watercolor background before overlaying the die cut words.
N= Nursery Rhyme - Twinkle Twinkle Little Star
E = Ephemera from Heidi Swapp"

The deadline for entering the January Stash Challenge is January 29th, 11:59 PM (PST)
We'd love to have you join in the fun!
And here is what our sponsor
is awarding this month's lucky randomly drawn winner:

Design Team Introduction ~ Claire Rambo

Welcome to day nine of our Design Team introductions!!!
Meet our talented and returning designer
Claire Rambo
"Aloha! My name is Claire R. I'm originally from Hawaii however currently living just north of Los Angeles, California with my husband. By day, I'm a certified massage therapist with a private practice, by night I scrapbook for the creativity and fun of it. My crafting journey started back in 2009, when I decided to make my very first Christmas cards. I made snowmen out of yarn, fussy cut the hats, hand drawn faces and adhered them to one layer of paper. I was a knitter at the time, so I had plenty, and still have plenty, of yarn laying around. Well, a couple of years later I decided to dive head first into paper crafting: I purchased a die cutting machine, created a blog and started participating in challenges to learn how to paper craft. Cards turned into home decor which turned into scrapbooking, scrapbooking and more scrapbooking....
Thank you to the wonderful women of SOS and I am truly honored to be part of such a creative team."

Claire's Blog:  Three Waters Creations

"Hello 2015"
Claire shared this with us about her page:
This layout documents the un-boxing of my new 2015 life planner.
Life planning is part of my 2015 goals so it deserves a scrapbook page.

T= Twine and Texture. I was excited to use my orange twine from my stash for this layout. Along with blue texture paste.
W= Wood Veneer tag
I= Ink. Gelato pigment ink on the flower die-cuts, and Heidi Swap Gold mist ink splatters.
N= Numbers. Amy Tangerine Thickers
E= Enamel Dots and Photos of Erin Condern planner.

I also used 17turtles (our sponsor this month) die-cut: Floral Bouquet
I cut them out using the Cricut Explorer.  I love these flowers so much and the gelatos really made them pop!
Thanks to 17turtles!

Design Team Introduction ~ Nicole Doiron

As of today you have met half of our new Design Team members!!!
Today we are excited to introduce you to yet another awesome designer...
Meet talented and returning team member
Nicole Doiron
"Hi! My name is Nicole Doiron and I live in Canada... in a small coastal town called Beresford in the province of New Brunswick, to be more specific. I share a home with my soulmate Yves (we've been together for 8 years) and our furry purry baby, Sugar the cat. We don't have children of our own, but we do have 2 wonderful nieces who we love to spoil and have fun with. We also have several friends with wonderful kids who let me scrapbook their pictures often. :) I l work in a fairly uninspiring office job during the day, and I let my inspiration and creativity loose in the evenings and weekends, doing the hobby that I love so much... scrapbooking!

My scrapbooking style varies a lot, adapting itself constantly to my moods and inspirations. My forte is definitely layouts (from single to double-page), but I do also create a lot of cards and have been challenging myself to create more and more beyond the page and mixed media projects, like canvases and frames. I like to use a lot of embellishments (chipboard shapes, flowers, gems/pearls, metal accents) and I love to incorporate different techniques on my creations like handmade stitching, stencilling with gesso or molding paste, misting, whitewashing, etc.

And I also love a great challenge so I'm thrilled to be part of the Scrap Our Stash DT! I hope that you will enjoy my creations and that they will inspire you to play along!
You can visit my blog at Scrap-utopia."

Nicole we are thrilled to have you return for another term!!!
We are looking forward to being inspired by more of your fabulous work!

Nicole has doubled up on us, and created this precious layout to share with us, inspired by our

"Little Star"

This is what Nicole shared with us about the challenge and her lovely reveal:
" I know that double-page layouts are not necessarily the trend these days, but when I started scrapbooking back in 2004, that is all I made, and I have to say that I still enjoy them a lot. Double the layout, double the fun! This stash challenge was also a lot of fun! I got stuck on a couple letters, but with a little help from my friends (thank you SOS DT gals), I found some cool stash items for every letter in the word T-W-I-N-E. Let's start with 'T' - Aside from the obvious twine, I used tags on my page. The 'W' is represented by wood veneer shapes. For the letter 'I', I thought of adding some faux stitching with a white ink pen. As for 'N', the overall theme of my layout was inspired by the nursery rhyme 'Twinkle, twinkle, little star'. And last but not least, I included eyelets to represent the letter 'E'. I can't wait to see what words you will come up with!"

Hi there friends of Scrap Our Stash!
Thank you for stopping by!
Today we are introducing our next talented team member!
Meet returning designer
Patricia Barnett
"Hello my crafty friends!
My name is Tricia and I am from Sunny Southern California, mother of one beautiful daughter Breanna Nichole (6) and a brand new fury friend, Brownie. I have been creating for about 17 years and have enjoyed every moment of it. I began scrapbooking right when there weren’t too many “safe” products out there to use. Since my attendance to a Scrapbook Expo it went all down hill from there! I usually reference that as my “coming out party!” Most of my projects and layouts you will see will be of my daughter as she IS the subject and focus of my life! I have met so many cool people through the world of crafting in which I am so lucky to have many of them as my friends!

I’m usually kept busy doing layouts, canvas pieces, Project Life, Art Journaling and my favorite…. Mini Books! Whatever it is I am creating I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE using embelIies! You will almost always find some BLING, Washi Tape, Paint, and most likely some doodling. =) I

Besides crafting, I love spending time with my family, friends, traveling, reading, dancing and working out. I am usually never still and always involved in something.

I am super excited to be a part of such an awesome design team here for Scrap Our Stash!
All the designers are extremely talented and I am sure you will find inspiration every time you visit!
I am totally looking forward to another term and I hope you are too!
Stay tuned to see some cool stuff!

2009 I fell in love with scrapbooking and I'm addicted to it since I made a vintage mini album for my mother in law.
I love working with transparency and vellum. I like creating homemade embellishments on most of my projects. My style is clean and colourful but I do also layering and splashing. Besides scrapbook pages I also love to make cards, mini albums and altered items.
I'm so excited that I could be here again for another term.

Design Team Member Introduction ~ Steffanie Seiler

Welcome to Day 1 of our New Design Team Introductions!
Scrap Our Stash has such an amazing team of talented designers with various scrapbooking styles and during the next two weeks, we will introduce a designer each day along
with their first reveal for this term.
Be sure you check out each of their blogs to be further inspired!

This is our first designers second term with Scrap Our Stash
Meet
Steffanie Seiler
"Hi! My name is Steffanie. I started scrapbooking when my oldest son was a baby---he's now 15! I also have another son who is 10. These two are my primary scrapbook subjects in addition to a golden retriever puppy, a calico kitty and, of course, everyday life.
In the early days, I was definitely a flat, non-lumpy-bumpy scrapper---I now can't imagine scrapping that way. Although I don't really dabble much in mixed media, I do need to have layers and dimension on my pages. I think I have a pretty good eye for color, balance and details. I like clean lines and don't really do messy.
My husband and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest region of the United States. My favorite season is summer. I like coffee, chocolate, pizza and wine (among other things!). Besides scrapbooking, I enjoy running and just being outdoors. I am an RN and work very part-time so that I can spend most days being home fulfilling my role as wife and mom...and have plenty of time for scrapbooking, of course!"

Steffanie we are excited and looking forward to having you create and share inspiration for our followers during this next 6 months!
Welcome back and thank you so much for agreeing to another term!

Today Steffanie is sharing a beautiful Disney themed page she created inspired by our
January Stash Challenge:

"The Magic Stars Here"
Steffanie:
"I really enjoy these alphabet-style stash challenges. They allow you a lot of flexibility when selecting products that are just right for your photos.
I have been working really hard at trying to get these photos scrapped from our trip to Disneyland over two years ago. These are some of the first ones that I took on that trip...driving up to our vacation destination!

T - twine
W - washi tape
I - regular ink on the edges of all my papers and photos, also spray ink for the background
N - negative cut from the mickey punch to create a tag
E - eyelet on the tag"

Juliana Michaels, the artist behind 17turtles, has had a love affair with creating and designing for years. When she first discovered scrapbooking over 15 years ago, it gave her a way to combine her two loves to form a creative outlet that brings her so much joy and happiness. This past year, she began creating her own digital cut files to use with her Silhouette Cameo on her scrapbook pages and other craft projects. She has now opened 17turtles as a way to share her digital design creations with others. For more ideas, inspiration and tutorials about using her cut files, you can visit her blog at www.17turtles.com."

Meet our
JANUARY GUEST DESIGNER
Shercara (Sherri) Caramico
"I am so honored to be asked to be a Guest Designer for January at Scrap Our Stash!
I am so happy to have found this Challenge Blog!

I am a wife and mother of 2 adult sons, and 2 young Portuguese Water Dogs. All of them are my favorite subjects! We love to travel and Disney Cruising and Disney Parks are our favorite way to vacation. I love meeting people, and enjoy photographing our journeys. I started scrapping late in my children's lives, ( about 10 years ago,) and I know I will never get "caught up." I'm okay with that, as I like to scrap what I "feel like" scrapping, and love lots of layers, textures and "stuff" on my pages.

I work full time in the corporate world and Scrapbooking helps me to relax from a busy day, and get creative. It has helped me to meet so many people that I now call my true friends. I teach classes at my Local Scrapbook Store and I enjoy inspiring others to think outside the box and encourage them just try a new technique or product. I believe there is no right or wrong, no good or bad - everyone has their own personal "art" inside them."
