"Get Out" LO by Steffanie Seiler

Hello and Happy Fri-YAY!

For today's inspiration we have a wonderful layout from Designer Steffanie:
Steffanie shared this about her layout:
"This is a such a great sketch! I love the clean lines and the angles. I followed it pretty closely, only moving the title to the bottom and adding a partial circle above the photos.
For the word challenge, this is how mine played out:
S - Simple Stories, striped paper

U - Uniball pen (white)

M - Metal paper clip
M - Mist (white)
E - Eyelets
R - Ranger ink, ruled paper
This is my last reveal with Scrap Our Stash. I've spent three years working with Brenda and Rochelle. It has been one amazing ride but I have decided to step down. Thank you so much for your incredible leadership and for letting me stay on as long as I did! Love you guys!"

"Call Me"

Happy Friday!
Thank you for stopping by to check out the today's amazing feature created by
Designer Steffanie Seiler
inspired by the
Steffanie:
Hello June!!
This is one of my favorite photos from my trip to England a couple of summers ago. I absolutely fell in love with these phone booths! I found these lined up along a street in Cambridge which happened to be our first day trip after arriving in country.
For the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge, I chose the far left vertical column---
the color red, a camera and wood (arrow).
I really love how this came together.
The challenge really helped me to pull in a few fun elements to make it complete!

"Take A Left At The Cow" Layout by Designer Steffanie Seiler

Hi there
Thank you for stopping by!
Today we are featuring the awesome layout
Designer Steffanie Seiler
created inspired by the

"Take A Left At The Cow"
Steffanie:
"Hi there! I'm pretty excited to share today's layout because it's one of those pages I imagined as I was taking the photos. We all have those, right? The cow is definitely a landmark along this route and the signs are not ones I see in my neck of the woods. So, in my book...scrap-worthy, for sure!
For the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge, I chose the middle row---
the color yellow, clouds (I used cloud paper and a cloud printed heart sticker) and a paper clip (green arrow).
Now that I look at the challenge again,
I realize that I also have the diagonal row covered with
4+ patterned papers, clouds and a tab (black "journey").
How many rows can you get?"

"Wonder of the Sea" LO by DT Steffanie

Hello & Happy Easter!

Today we are sharing this fun layout created by Designer Steffanie Seiler
inspired by this month's Sketch Challenge:
Stephanie shares this about her layout:
"The grid design of this sketch really appealed to me. I had a lot of patterns going on here, especially since I used some patterned washi also. Because of this, I eliminated a couple of the additional patterned paper pieces. I swapped the position of top two blocks to keep my subject looking inward. Other than that, the sketch is intact. My stash items go like this:
F - fish (puffy stickers)
L - liquid pearls (Nuvo Drops), layering, letters
O - orange
W - washi tape, white
E - enamel dots,eyelet, Echo Park
R - red, Ranger ink (for edging)
Now it's your turn! Have fun!"

"The Magic Is Real" Layout by Designer Steffanie Seiler

Hello and welcome to our blog!
Today we are showcasing the amazing double page layout
Designer Steffanie Seiler
created inspired by the

Steffanie
"Good morning and Surprise!
I have a two-pager to share with you today! I could have just posted the right side to meet the challenge requirements, but who wants to see half a layout, right? This layout brought together several random photos that I didn't want to leave out of my Disney album. Doesn't every trip have those? Anyway, the tic-tac-toe row I went with includes Border Punch, Stitching, and the color Yellow. There actually was already hand-drawn zig-zag stitching on the journal card. I went over it with hand-stitching and extended it a bit!"

"High Flying Adventure" LO by DT Steffanie

Hello!

Today, Designer Steffanie shares with us her wonderful layout
inspired by the
March Sketch Challenge:
Steffanie said:
"Hello there and welcome to the mid-month challenge! The word stash challenges are definitely among my favorites.
Here is how mine worked out:
C - camera, circle tag, chipboard title
H - hearts, Heidi Swapp mist, hexagon print paper
A - arrow, American Crafts
R - red
M - mini- alpha stickers, machine-stitching (using thread from my stash)

I made just a few changes to the sketch. I flipped it horizontally which was directionally more appealing for my larger photo. I used two additional smaller photos instead of one square photo. I moved the title toward the top and added a journal spot below my large photo. The rest is pretty much the same. I machine-stitched a large circle this time. My go-to move often is to eliminate the circle...but this time I kept it and braved the machine!
Now it's your turn!

"Smitten With Our Kitten" Layout by Designer Steffanie Seiler

Today we are featuring a fresh and fun layout Designer Steffanie created
inspired by the
Steffanie:
"I met the challenge with the top horizontal row---charm (I used two, metal fish and word "meow"), striped paper (which looks like lines but the actual name is "striped paper"), and washi tape (I used three different ones).

These papers goes way back....all the way to 2006! It's from Pebbles Inc.and has been in my stash FOR-EVER!! I even have stickers and die-cuts. I pulled a couple things from my Bella Blvd Riley collection kit (yellow print paper for tag, green tab sticker) but the rest is from Pebbles. Now THAT'S using your STASH "

"So Cozy" Layout by DT Steffanie Seiler

Hello Scrappers!

Today's inspiration is from our designer Steffanie Seiler:
Stephanie shares this about her layout:
"How about a little pink for you during this month of all things love and valentines? I think I got it covered with this one! I actually used some leftovers from a kit (The ScrapRoom - February FOTM kits). I had these photos of my kitty laying against a unicorn that had pink accents so I thought they'd be a great fit for this collection from Crate Paper.

Here's the rest of my breakdown:

C - Crate Paper, clouds, chipboard, Crafter's Workshop (template for drops)
U - Uchida circle punch
P - pink, puffy alpha stickers
I - ink for edging papers, Ink for stamping, ink spray (white)
D - drops (Nuvo), date stamp

I made a few changes to the sketch but I think you can still see the "bones". I flipped the sketch horizontally to suit the orientation of my photos better. I added a third piece of patterned paper in the form of a vertical banner strip between the other two pieces. I used Nuvo Drops to make the circle. I eliminated the trianges as they just seemed too sharp for the otherwise soft feel I was going for with this page. I also relocated my title more toward the top of my page. It just fit better there.

Now it's your turn. Take the challenge---I know you want to!"

"#DLH" Layout by Designer Steffanie Seiler

Good morning!
Today's featured layout is the incredible creative work of  SOS Designer Steffanie
inspired by the
February Tic Tac Toe Challenge
Steffanie:
"I think I can take just about any challenge and make it work for a Disney page...I have certainly had lots of practice! For this challenge, I went with the top row - the color red, polka dot paper and a tag. The vellum tag in the lower right corner has been in my stash literally for-EVER! It was fun to discover it and put it to good use. Now that's digging into your stash!"

"Just Call Me Sophie" LO by DT Steffanie Seiler

Happy Monday!

Today we have a fun awesome layout from Designer Steffanie for inspiration:
Stephanie said this about her layout:
"I took this sketch and flipped it horizontally. Instead of a second smaller photo, I chose to include a piece of memorabilia on top of a 6x4 journaling card. Otherwise the sketch is mostly preserved. I had a lot of fun with embellishments and color on this one!
My stash items for the word GOALS is as follows:
G - geo tag, graph paper (journal spot)
O - October Afternoon (star paper), orange
A - arrow
L- lined paper (journal card), letters (sticker)
S - Simple Stories, stars, scallops (border punch)"

Introducing Returning Designer Steffanie Seiler

It's day one of our new Design team introductions!
We are thrilled to have this talented designer returning to our team!
Stay tuned for another six months of her amazing creative work
Welcome back....
Steffanie Seiler
"Hi! My name is Steffanie. I live int he beautiful Pacific NW. My husband and I just celebrated 20 years of marriage---woo hoo! We have two boys---one who will be a high school senior this fall and the other will start 7th grade. I started scrapbooking when my oldest son was a baby. They are my primary scrapbook subjects in addition to a golden retriever, and a calico kitty. My favorite themes/subjects to scrap are outdoor activities and travel. I think I have a pretty good eye for color, balance and details. I like clean lines and don't really do messy (unless you count mist!). My favorite season is summer. I like coffee, chocolate, pizza and wine (among other things!). Besides scrapbooking, I also enjoy running and just being outdoors. I dream of being a better photographer. If only there were more hours in the day! I'm also a registered nurse. I work very part-time though, so that I can spend most days being home fulfilling my role as wife and mom...and have plenty of time for scrapbooking!"

Check out the incredible page Steffanie created inspired by the
January Tic Tac Toe Challenge:
"Make A Splash"
Steffanie:
"If you have been following Scrap Our Stash for the last year or more, you know that I seem to have an endless supply of Disney photos---LOL!! Well, here are a few more that I incorporated for our current Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. I went with the far left vertical row using mist, 5+ patterned papers and twine. I really like these challenges as they give you options but also get you to combine things that you might not have otherwise."

Cozy Socks Layout by DT Steffanie

Happy Friday!

For today's inspiration, we have this wonderful layout by Designer Steffanie:

This is what Steffanie shared about her layout:
"Last December I created this photo collage on my phone after a fun weekend with some girlfriends. I liked it so much that I decided to print and use it here as a photo block. I pulled this Fancy Pants “Oh Deer!” collection from my stash and went to work. I stayed really true to the sketch with the exception of eliminating the stitched circle. For the stash part of the challenge, here is what I used: (1) stars, (2) glitter (I used Stickles on the title letters---although it's hard to see in the photo), green, (3) tag."

"Got Gifts" Layout by DT Steffanie Seiler

Happy Friday!
It's the most wonderful time of the year and today we are sharing a layout
with a little bit of adorable holiday cheer
created by SOS Designer Steffanie
inspired by the
December Book Inspired Stash Challenge:
Steffanie:
"I went along with the Christmas theme and found this little treasure among my photos from last year. I think what drew me to this one was the stripes---since the challenge also called for stripes! I chose this light blue cardstock to play off the blue stripe in the photo and also to be a little non-traditional. It helped that I had this Echo Park Christmas collection in my stash that had a bit of blue in the stripe print. Sequins added the perfect little amount of sparkle to my page and fulfilled the other part of the challenge."

"HMS Victory" LO by DT Steffanie

Happy Hump Day!

Today's inspiration is from our Designer Steffanie. :)
Check out her awesome layout based on the

"HMS Victory"
Stephanie shared this about her layout:
Our trip to England last summer brought us to this old warship in Portsmouth. The golden color of the ship inspired me to get it scrapped. I followed the sketch pretty closely, as you can see. I did eliminate the circle elements and used just one larger photo instead of two smaller ones.
Items I used from the list are as follows:
List 1 - Glitz (golden anchor print is Glitz Design)
List 2 - Harvest Gold (polka dot print)
List 3 - Indigo (photo mat, stripe and other prints)

"Soar Into Space" Layout by DT Steffanie Seiler

Hello!
Today we are showcasing the incredible layout SOS Designer Steffanie created
inspired by the
November Book Inspired Stash Challenge:
Steffanie:
"These photos were among the remaining few that I had left to scrap from our trip to Disneyland in 2012. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with them until I saw this book cover. It was was just the inspiration I needed. I used an older Echo Park collection and let it come together. Adding the stars was easy---totally what I would have gone with even without the added stash challenge!"

"A Strong Defense" LO by DT Steffanie Seiler

Hello and Good Morning!

Today we are sharing this awesome layout from our Designer Steffanie:
Stephanie said this about her layout:
"I'll admit, I rarely ever think about angling papers on a layout while I'm creating. This sketch has a large angled strip in the background and I considered not including it, but I'm so glad I did. I'm finding myself saying...wow. What an impact that makes. This layout would definitely not have the same feel without it. I loved this sketch and actually used a 6x6 pad for the whole thing, piecing them together to appear like longer strips. Since the patterns were pretty small and busy, it worked. Now I want to try it again with regular sized paper!

My stash items are as follows:
List 1 - Doodlebug Designs
List 2 - Elle's Studio (journal tabs)
List 3 - Fiskars (border punch"

"The Wild West" Layout by DT Steffanie Seiler

Hello and thank you for stopping by to check out today's incredible feature.
SOS Designer Steffanie created the layout below inspired by our
Steffanie:
"Good October morning to you all! I'm excited to share this layout with and my thought trail on how I got from book inspiration to my layout. Well, here it is. First of all, I noticed the clock. The clock got me thinking about time. The old style hat and key made me think of a time past and the window made me think of a window into the past. All of this led me to these photos of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Disneyland. This roller-coaster is set in a fictitious mining company in the early days of the American Gold Rush. And there you have it...how I got from book to layout! Adding the twine in this way I think helps to convey the feeling of being in the old west, kind of like rope. Now it's your turn---have fun with it!"

"Back to the Books" LO by DT Steffanie Seiler

WooHoo!! It's Friday! :)

Today we have an awesome layout to share with you created by our
Designer Steffanie Seiler:
Steffanie shared this about her layout:
"I love file folders and file tabs. I don't know why...there's just something about them. So you can probably guess that this sketch really appealed to me. The photo that I wanted to use was vertical though but it made the file card more visible which was perfect for my journaling. I eliminated the circle as there just wasn't really room for it. I also added a border strip and some washi at the top to help "anchor" my vertical pieces. For the stash challenge, here is how it broke down:
List 1 - Azure
List 2 - Bella Blvd, Black
List 3 - Canary"

Here's a look at the challenge:

Are you ready to try out this sketch challenge?

"First Day of 2nd Grade" Layout by Designer Steffanie Seiler

Happy Friday!
Today we are sharing a super cute school themed layout created by Designer Steffanie,
inspired by the
September Book Inspired Stash Challenge:
Steffanie:
"I have been taking first day of school photos for what seems like an eternity. So finding photos to fit this theme was easy. I knew I had a piece of text print paper that I purchased off a clearance rack so I pulled that out along with some cork print paper and a school themed kit from Bella Blvd. After selecting a sketch, it all came together pretty easily!"

"C'mon...Smile" LO by DT Steffanie Seiler

Hello!

Today we have a beautiful layout to share with you.  It's inspired by the Sketch +3 challenge and created by our designer Steffanie Seiler:
Here's what Steffanie shares with us about her layout:
"What a fun sketch! I have angled papers behind my photos before but I can't say that I have really ever done it the way Brenda designed for this sketch---as more of a trim or edge treatment. This is a great way to use some scraps and bring more color and different patterns to your page. I made only slight variations to the design, as you can see. For the list challenge I used (1) 3+ different manufacturers, (2) washi tape, (3) my Xyron adhesive to attach the word "smile!".
I hope you will dip into your stash and play along with this fun sketch! Be sure to link up!
