I used some pieces of patterned paper (4, on the layout and 1, on the background),
 (4) cardstock stickers,
(3)numbers and
(1) paint
I completed my layout with a frame and enamel dots

Sandra Scott
Sandra's Blog: Kiandra's Kreations

"My name is Sandra Scott and I’m married to a wonderful man who supports my creative hobby. Between us we have four adult children and six grandchildren.

I’ve been scrapbooking for about eight years but I’ve always had some sort of craft ranging from sewing, decoupage, OTP projects, knitting and attempts at painting.

I can’t say I have a distinct style because I really like experimenting and being inspired by others. I would say my scrapbooking is quite eclectic because some days I love clean and simple pages and others I love to get grungy or really girly it just depends on the task at hand.

At the moment I love experimenting with mixed media techniques.

I’ve been published in:
Australian Scrapbooking Memories (including showcasing for a small scrapbooking store).
Australian Scrapbook Ideas
Scrapbook Creations
Scrap 365 (UK Magazine)"

Check out the stunning layout Sandra created inspired by the "Countdown" Challenge:
"321"
Here is how Sandra completed the challenge:

5~ Patterned Papers
· Glitz Design patterned papers for the background
· Five blue coloured patterned papers for my matting and the circle embellishment

4~ Stickers or Cardstock Stickers
4X Kaisercraft Word Stickers and I made my own sticker (the circle ‘love’)

3~ Numbers
· I used three numbers for my title

2~ Stamps or Rub-ons
· The stamps are a hexagon shape, a diamond background and a script stamp, all from Kaisercraft. I also used rub-ons with my homemade sticker and a blue chain border on the page together with the squares on the tag.

1~ Paint of Mist
· I added paint to the Texture paste before applying to the page.

Thank you Sandra for being our fabulous November Guest Designer.
We are so excited to have you design with us this month!

Hello All!!!
Today's wonderful inspiration is the creative work of DT Patricia, inspired by our
October Sketch/Color Combo Challenge:
Patricia shared this about the challenge and her page:
"What a challenge you had this month! The color combo in conjunction with the sketch was fun and...yes, you guessed it....challenging! The pics I used were from birthdays celebrated in July! I have tons of birthdays to celebrate in July, even mine! From family to friends, we take over!

For this challenge I used a line of paper I have had in my stash from KI Memories, "PlayList". It had most of the colors that were in the color palette which made it somewhat easier! I Added some old faithful flowers that I had to blow some dust off! Alphas came from Echo Park's "Photo Freedom" embellishment stickers and gotta love that Heidi Swapp color shine!

Hope you enjoyed this months challenge as much as we did!
Thanks for stopping by!"

"Such a Sweetheart" Layout by DT Megan

It's a marvelous Monday and we are happy to share with you DT Megan's
bright and cheerful layout she created inspired by our
October Sketch/Color Challenge
Here is what Megan shared about the challenge and her layout:
"I have to admit, I procrastinated this challenge as looking at all those colors kind of intimidated me, but then I began to just focus on a few and it got a lot easier! For my layout, I pulled together papers using four of the colors and went from there. The colors I used were Misted Yellow, Royal Blue, Aluminum and Aurora Red - the tags also have a little bit of Cognac. I flipped parts of the sketch and made an 8 1/2 x 11 layout instead of the 12 x 12 in the sketch. I added sewing and a few embellishments and called it done!"

Feeling inspired????
You have until October 29th, 11:59 PM (PST) to link up your entries for  our October

"Silly Little Pilot" Layout by DT Tanti

We are continuing this week with more fabulous Design Team
inspiration.
Today DT Tanti is sharing her wonderful interpretation of the sketch using a great combination of colors from the fall color palette that was provided as part of the challenge:
Tanti shared this with us about the challenge and her layout:
"Colour challenge was always challenging for me. Especially this one. I had to go through all my paper stash. Turned over every single sheet to find the right colours. And I was so happy as I finally found them. From the colour palette I used: The Bright Cobalt, Sangria, Misted Yellow, Cognac and the Mauved Mist. The next problem for me was finding the embellishments in that colour combo. Cause I didn't have much. But after I took a look again to my papers, I thought they were busy enough so that I didn't have to add much embellishments on it."

Inspired by the Tanti's awesome layout?

"Explore" Layout by DT Kate

Hello!!!
We are back on the blog today with more Design Team inspiration!
DT Kate has created this awesome and as always fun layout inspired by our October
to share with you:
Kate:
"While on vacation, we try to schedule things for both kids to enjoy together but sometimes, with my son being much younger and then also having some special needs, it's impossible. So, while in Florida, while the others went ziplining, he & I headed over to the Children's Museum. It was wonderful and since we got there early, there was hardly no one in there and my son got lots of one on one attention! "
I think I used every color in the color palette; it just so happened that this cute car paper had all the colors in it even if it didn't match the space theme LOL ... I then accented it with lots of yellow paper pieces from the stash. 2 of the tags have hidden journaling.

If you have not had a chance to play along with us this month, you have until
October 29th 11:59 PM (PST)
to create and link up your entries for one or both of our
October Challenges
for a chance to win this month's prize:

Today's inspiration is being shared by DT Claire, inspired by our
Claire:
"I pretty much stayed true to the sketch with my layout. I love the fall colors that we were given to play with, they are beautiful. I was inspired by the blues, green, red, yellow, and aluminium.
The collection I used, Simple Stories Urban Traveler, came closest to these colors and fit the story I was documenting.
I look forward to seeing your layouts inspired by this year's fall colors."
Your turn to get out your supplies and create a page to share with us!

"Missy and Sam" Layout by DT Robin

Yay!  It's Thursday!
Today's ADORABLE feature is being shared by our talented DT Robin, inspired by our
Robin:
"This was a fun layout for me to do. I, honestly, didn’t think I’d be able to complete it, initially. I had never done a color palette challenge like this one before. It was pretty easy once I noticed there was no pink in the palette. That eliminated a lot of patterned paper right off the top.

The sketch is a lot of fun, too. I obsess over tags. I used my Tim Holtz Large Tag Sizzix die to make my tags. I seem to get a lot of use out of that die!

For close-up pictures of the details, please visit my blog"

Are you up for the challenge?
As always, you have until the 29th to complete and link up your interpretation of this month's challenge.

"Nine Lives" Layout by DT Nicole

It's Wednesday and we have some wonderful
inspiration to share with you!
Take a look at this fabulous layout DT Nicole created to share with us:
Nicole:
"First of all, let me just say that the Pantone 2014 Fall Colors are all gorgeous. Now the real challenge was to find a collection of papers and/or embellishments to match some of these warm, yet vivid tones. Because I softened up my layout a bit with my usual whitewashing technique, it's as if I have used a little lighter shade of each color chosen, but I assure you... I have tried to stay true to the color palette. The colors I chose are: Cypress, Aurora Red, Misted Yellow, Aluminum and a little touch of Bright Cobalt (in some tiny flowers on the pattern paper). The collection used is DIY Shop by Crate Paper. I absolutely adored working with the sketch - lots of layers to work with and, my favorite, tags! Hopefully you will play along with Sketch challenge #19!"

Hello and thank you for stopping by!
Today's stunning inspiration is the beautiful creation of DT Leila, inspired by our

When I am sad or tired, I need the sea to calm down, to restore the energy. Whenever I'm so or whenever I get the chance, run to him, love to feel the sand feet or even just stay seated listening to the sound that the sea does, it calms me, it makes me happy.

This is my interpretation of the sketch + some of the colors in the palette proposals.
