Pagerize Joni by Julie

Reader Julie submitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge # 11. She said:

I was so excited when I came across your site while doing a blog hop for another challenge site. I have committed this year to spending less money on craft supplies, using my stash and exploring the creative process. You can read about it at my blog: http://spendlesscraftmore.blogspot.com/

I used so many things from this page, the background shape, the placement of the photos, the stitching, the round journalling space and the feel of the title. I pushed the embellishment cluster in the top right hand corner a little higher up the page. My daughter (who will be 8 next week) is always saying that "its not fair" being the youngest. This page is "evidence" that sometimes the youngest gets the good stuff sooner, her brothers hardly knew what cake even was at 13 months old! To make the title and the border strip, I used the backing sheet of Patterned paper (the green is the reverse side), making for a page that is both budget and co-ordinated!

Here is my version of the Pagerize challenge by Joni
I chose to go with the shape of Joni's LO- I loved her die cut piece at the top and the three photos across the middle.
I chose to use some photographs of my daughter playing on the hunnebeds here in Holland- in the middle photo she is pretending to be a butterfly in the forest.

Pagerize Joni by Faye

This is my take on Joni's layout for this Pagerize challenge. I incorporated the word CONQUER into my title and sized down the pictures and background bracket. Because I wanted a french feel, I went with pinks and greens but kept a little of the original black color as an accent. I had a lot of fun with this one. Thanks for letting me play along!FayeThis is my take on Joni's layout for this Pagerize challenge. I incorporated the word CONQUER into my title and sized down the pictures and background bracket. Pagerize Joni by Tammy

Design Team Member Tammy sumbtted this layout for the Pagerize This #11 Challenge.  She said:  I had a blast with this one!

For my take on Joni's "Pagerize This" I decided to flip her design upside-down. I also chose winter photos to scrap, it's been so hot and humid this summer I guess I needed something cool to look at, LOL! Anyway, these photos are from Raleigh's first snowfall last year, laugh if you must but we did get an inch accumulation! The kids were so excited when the snow started falling they had to bundle up and get outside as quickly as possible. In this layout I used Core'dinations cardstock, Echo Park paper and cardstock stickers, and Kaiser Craft pearls. Thanks Joni for the great inspiration!

Pagerize Joni by Christy

A very short time ago, we had a very sick cat. He had several surgeries and fought off severe infections and complications from kidney crystals. At one point, we thought we would lose him. In January, I got these photos of him trying to take the cone off of his head. It was one of those defining moments when I knew he'd be ok. Boo was back to being his clown self. He has since gained back all of the weight he lost and his personality is as playful as it ever was. When I saw Joni's page, I knew it would be perfect for this series of photos featuring Boo's attempt's at taking his cone off.

papers- We R memory keeper's Grandma's kitchen
DMC floss
Colorbox chestnut roan ink
Basic Grey alpha stickers and cat ctickers from max and Whiskers line
Making Memories Tiny type alphas in choc. and white
Bic marc it in woodsy brown
I chose the papers for their fun, but cozy feel. I stitched under some of the title words to add some emphasis to them. The brown marker was an inexpensive and fast way to add a little detail and a more finished feel to the base paper. I used adhesive foam to add a little dimension to the paisley's.
Now it's your turn to find the right photos and papers so that you can play along with the Scrap Our Stash Pagerize This challenge!

Pagerize Joni by Wendy Crowe

Guest Design Team Member Wendy C. submitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge # 11. She said:

I chose to stick with Joni's theme. i had one picture of my kids on the climbing wall. i didn't want to use just one picture on a page so I had to go hunting. I found this great picture of my little guy up on his uncle's shoulders. This was perfect for the title that was stuck in my head! Conquer your fear of heights! So even though the pictures are from different places and different times, they worked out well together with Joni's theme. :)

Well, I'm honored to be brining you the 11th Pagerize This layout!!!   This is such a blast!!!    One of my favorite challenges every month!!!

So I settled on this layout I did using mostly My Minds Eye products with some Basic Grey thrown in.

I thought it'd be a good one because not only is the design liftable, but so is the topic.

Hope you have fun playing along with my layout this month!!!  Be creative and jump right in...!!!  (and Conquer your Fears!!...lol!!)  -- Double click on the layout to see details and journaling...

Here is Joni's layout for you to Pagerize. This challenge ends on July 12, 2011 at midnight central time. Then Joni will choose a winner from the submissions. The winner will become our next Pagerizer.

Each month on the 15th we will post a new layout for you to "pagerize" (plagerize, copy, lift, steal) whatever term you want to use. The idea will be - to use the posted layout as your inspiration to create your own layout. You can "pagerize" as much or as little of the original layout as you choose. You may want to make a layout just like the one posted - or you may just want to use something about the layout as your inspiration. It's totally up to you. Submit your layout to  scrappinpsycho@live.com

Once you've completed your layout - email a picture and brief description to scrappinpsycho@live.com.  All entries will be posted here at Scrap Our Stash. The challenge runs through midnight central time on July 12th. The "Pagerizer" (in this case Joni), will then choose a winner from all the entries. The winner will be announced on July 14th. Then the winner will be asked to submit a layout for us to "Pagerize" starting on the 15th of July.
