Hello! My name is Meital and here is my layout for the March challenge. This layout is very special to me. I never made a layout with a picture of me by myself, not including my pregnancy album which in a way includes my beloved son.
The picture was taken a few minutes befor heading out to a PURIM party which is my favorite jewish holiday. In Purim it is a custom to wear costumes and masks. This year I went as a Ballerina and I loved my costume! I used for the background a shaped cardstock from Making Memories that I have more than two years and never had the chance to use it since most of my scrapping is about the boys. After a really hectic month, I’ve finally found the time to work on my Dust it Off Challenge layout.
Years ago, I belonged to a scrapbook kit club – Club Scrap. I stockpiled their kits for years, not using them because I was waiting for the “perfect photos” to showcase the beautiful papers. For this challenge I decided to dig into my stash and use one of the kits. The kit I chose was the Moody Blues kit from March 2002, perfect for this layout of Hurricane Katrina memorials that we saw during our trip to New Orleans. In addition to the kit, I used some silver pearls by Recollections and a circle punch, a tool I haven’t used in ages.

THANKS so much for inspiring me--- I needed to make a couple layouts from our spring break this year, so I pulled out an old paper pack (the Pet Stack—buried beneath so many other papers)—used some of my little sizzlets (literally had to DIG through dust to find one, I thought I might have {bowl, and bone}) and I used an ollllldddd little rubber paw print, that was in the back of my embellishment drawer so all in all this was great inspiration for me, to make a cute NEW layout, out of lots of older things! (I love this challenge, thanks)! Oh, and my paper punch for holes, haven’t seen that in years.

Here is my submission for the March Dust it Off Challenge! I used a die-cut that I bought in 2007 that I’ve been hoarding ever since. Your challenge inspired me to actually pull it out and get our San Francisco trip scrapped! I also used a bling circle that I’ve had around for ages.
