"Busy Mind In Motion" Layout by DT Cassie

Happy Friday!!!
We are ending this week with some fantastic
inspiration, created by SOS Designer, Cassie:
Cassie:
"This book cover made me giggle when I first saw it because this is totally like my mind lately. Instead of creating a layout about my creative mind, I decide to create a page about my daughter. Her mind is always busy and creative. We always joke that if she is awake then she is talking. I saw this picture of my daughter lounging in my hubby’s chair and she is engrossed in a book. She is totally my little book worm who loves reading non-fiction books and will throw out random facts at us.

Getting back to the layout, I added three clouds to my page. The one that says “Dream Big” is one of my favorites and I love how it ties back into the mind aspect of the book cover. I then found this light bulb icon flair and it was perfect for the concept behind the layout about my daughter’s busy mind."

"You Make Me Smile" Layout by DT Patricia

Good morning!
Today we are featuring a layout created by SOS Designer Patricia
inspired by the
Patricia:
"Hello crafty friends!!
Bringing you my stash Challenge for the month! This one stumped me only for a quick second...wasn't sure whether to pull the colors or utilize the title, so I did a little of both! I pulled some of the earthy colors from the book cover and utilized the "YOU" in my title.
Tried to cut my two little clouds out by hand, which I think came out cool for a free hand...😐

Thanks for stopping by!
Can't wait to see what you come up with!"

But as I dug through my stash I found this older collection that worked so well for the colors in the book, so I went with that! I love how this layout came out. It was quick, easy and fun… and even was able to use my cloud punch!!! Yay!"

"Paradise Found" Layout by DT Sherri

Hi and thank you for stopping by!
Today we are featuring a fabulous layout created by talented SOS Designer, Sherri
inspired by the
April Book Inspired Stash Challenge:
Sherri:
"I found these great photos of some beautiful clouds, from or trip to Turks and Caicos, this past October, and thought they would be fun to use for this challenge. Since "photos" of clouds technically are not part of my "stash" ( the clouds need to be part of the scrap items from my stash to count) I selected this FUN Cloud paper from American Crafts. I LOVED using this new "YOU ARE HERE" Collection from Simple Stories. Their Sticker sheet and Bits and Pieces pack had clouds in them - so I made sure to included them. And while I was "digging" through my stash, I found a pack of My Mind's Eye Charm "Sweet" bits and pieces - with 2 of these COOL 3D Velum clouds and had to add them too!!

Hello everyone, happy Monday to you!
Today's feature is the wonderful work of talented SOS Designer, Tanti K
inspired by the
April Book Inspired Stash Challenge:
Tanti K:
"I was inspired by the clouds on the book cover.
They reminded me of the picture of my son that I took from the top of the hill.
He was looking at the clouds that covered the land bellow.
I created some giant clouds out of tissue papers and vellums and to complete the challenge I added two cloud wood veneers and five cloud chipboards from Studio Calico.

Welcome and thank you for stopping by to check out today's
fabulous feature, created by SOS Designer, Elena
inspired by our
Elena
"Here is how my daughter thinks right now, what she likes to do and what she likes to eat.
It is a kind of diary that will document my daughter's thoughts. It is also important for me to remember her thoughts and not just the outward appearance of her childhood because photographs can not show what we don't see, such as what is inside our mind."

"Celebrate the Arts" Layout by DT Steffanie Seiler

Hello friends of SOS!
Today's bright and cheerful inspiration is the awesome work of
SOS Designer Steffanie, inspired by our
April Book Inspired Stash Challenge:
Steffanie:
"I was inspired by the title of the book and decided to scrap some older photos of my son. He has always had an artistic ability in him and a good eye for color. I took these photos at an annual event at his school called Celebrate the Arts.
If it weren't for the challenge, I'm not sure I would've included the clouds on this page. But, it's okay because I feel like it still works. Clouds can represent thinking, which can represent creativity...following me? Besides, I really like clouds anyway and this was just a fun excuse to use them! That's the great thing about challenges...they make you think outside of the box!"

Here is a look at the challenge that inspired Steffanie's awesome page:

"Hi, I'm Natsuko from Japan. I immediately fell in love with scrapbooking when I saw one of my friend's beautiful layout 7 years ago ! I have made so many layouts and albums ever since...and I never seem to get tired of it !! Most of my layouts include my loved ones, especially my daughter, who is now 10 years old. I love travelling, taking pictures, and communicating with people from all over the world. I don't have a particular style; I love both colorful and chic layouts and I'm not hesitant to try new techniques. I get a lot of inspiration here, and It's such an honor to be the guest this month !! Thank you !!

Thank you Natsuko for being our guest this month!
We are sure our followers will be inspired by your fabulous work.

Below is the fabulous layout Natsuko created inspired by our
April Book Inspired Stash Challenge:
Natsuko:
"When I first saw the book cover, the clouds reminded me of my daughter. She used to lie down on the grass and watch the clouds pass by...(like forever!) and I found a perfect picture !! I wanted to make the layout bright and fun, like the illustration of this book. I used metal parts for embellishments because I can see similar shapes in the background. It was really fun making this layout, and I'm happy how it turned out !"

For the stash challenge, I've used graph paper and gold from column 1, hearts from column 2 and ink from column 3.
Hope you enjoy!

See you soon!"

"Be Yourself" LO by DT Renee

Hello!

Today's inspiration is from Designer Renee.  Here's her gorgeous layout:
Renee said this about her layout:
"For this layout I picked - hot pink, gold, and ink. As you've gotten to know me, this isn't shocking! I really wanted to capture this selfie I had of myself from when I got my hair cut. I swear my hairstylist does it in a way I can never recreate so I always try to get a few selfies before it falls apart on me. I tried to mix together some of the newest lines that I have been loving which wasn't too hard as they seem to mesh well together. I hope you enjoy this page!!"

Happy Hump Day Crafters!

Today, Designer Asa is getting us over the hump with her lovely layout:
Here's what she said about her layout:

"A lovely sketch to interpret! I used a PL-card instead of a third photo and I´ve also used my favorite colours white, pink and black.
It´s my daughter Ebba in the photos and it´s the same picture in b&w and in colour. I like to use both to see the difference it makes.
I´ve used the following from the lists:
#1 -Graph paper
#2 -Hearts and hot pink
#3 -Ink
Hope you are inspired to join us for this challenge!"

"Super 8 B-Day Smile" LO by DT Cassie

Happy Tuesday!

Today, Designer Cassie is sharing her beautiful layout to inspire us:
Here's what Cassie said about her layout:
"When I saw the sketch and started flipping through my printed photos, I knew exactly what I wanted to do when I saw these pictures of my daughter’s last birthday. I had more pictures than three printed, so when I went through them I decided that I could tell the story with just three photos. From this list I used Graph paper from list one (it is black and white behind my photos), Heidi Swapp and Hearts from list two, and Ink and Ivory from list three (I inked the edges of my paper and used spray ink, also that “Dream” sticker is ivory). I hope you will play along with this challenge for a chance to win!"

Here's her layout:
Here's what Rochelle shares about her layout:
"I couldn't wait to use this paper!! I wanted to use it so bad (LOL) that I made it work with the challenge! You can see the sketch is still there just a bit smaller and off centered from the middle of the page. I also went with 1 photo instead of 3. I did get all three colors on there for the other part of the challenge - Gold, Hot Pink and Ivory. However I did use hearts and ink too!  I love these challenges! :)"

Well today's inspiration is from Designer Sherri.
Here's her wonderful layout to get you inspired!
Here's what Sherri shared about her layout:
"I don't know about you, but I am SERIOUSLY LOVIN' this "NEW" Sketch PLUS 3 Challenge from Scrap Our Stash! The added "3" items really help me to search through and use up some of my "STASH!" I am finding things I didn't remember I had!! This month's sketch has lots of layers and a great opportunity to "go big" or "go simple" - it is all up to YOU! These are our 2 Silly Portuguese Water Dogs, Maggie and Valentino. They LOVE the snow - I guess they just love water in any form!! These photos were from our February 2016 "Blizzard!" They really had "Snow Much Fun!" I love this "Snow Patrol" collection from Simple Stories. I think it worked perfectly with the photos.
For my PLUS 3 I chose: G- Graph Paper
H - Hearts I - Ink and Ivory (base page)"
