'Kodiak' Layout by Haley

Hello Everyone!
Continuing on this week with our projects for the  Kraft It Up Challenge, DT Haley doubled up and got her Kraft on and created a two page layout to share:

Haley:
"These photos are of our "firstborn" (furbaby) around the time that our literal firstborn joined our family. Kodiak was such a good dog, and we miss him dearly! He did NOT like being demoted from his #1 position when our daughter was born. His tricolors obviously influenced my color scheme, and I was able to use up quite a bit of my hoarded stash of Kraft corrugated shapes and Kraft die cut borders. I liked the contrast of the pewter metal pieces. This sketch is from one of Close To My Heart's retired how-to guides. All supplies are from CTMH. You can learn more about my layout at: http://inkyscrapper.blogspot.com."
Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Check your stash for your Kraft  and metal items, create a layout and link it up by March 29th to be entered into our monthly prize drawing.

Tamara: "I love the look of Kraft. I added some Kraft torn pattern paper. I roughed up the edges of the photo mat of my DS and his family. I used a Kraft sack to hide my journaling, decorated with bakers twine and a butterfly as well as the calendar piece. I also added some red accents to match the photo, and then inked up everything. I used lots of metal from Making Memories~ the word family, the ribbon slide, a clip, a heart and a flower square. This about sums it up."

'Steampunks at the Museum' by Sarah

It's Friday and I hope you are ready to enjoy a wonderful weekend!
Today Sarah is sharing her take on this month's Kraft It Up Challenge.  Check out how she scrapped her awesome steampunk photos using kraft and metal!

Sarah:  "Someone said metal... my brain went Steampunk, as always! Time to scrap that stash of photos I keep trying to work through. These pictures were taken when we volunteered to help out Steampunk Ottawa at our local museum's Victorian Holidays event. Background paper (Simple Stories) is kraft-y colored though not actual Kraft paper. The foreground paper is printed Kraft paper. Flower were punched from a paper bag then spritzed with Red Glimmer Mist, another lil spritz of Green under the family photo. Metal in the title-work, sprinkle of gears here and there as well as the rows of alternating red and green mini brads. ...and Yes, I poked myself a few times doing that many! lol"

Time for you to get 'Krafty!'   Click HERE to check out our challenge.  We would love to see what you do with your 'Krafty' and metal supplies!

"Glasses" Layout by Lindsey

Happy Thursday!!!
Today DT Lindsey is sharing a layout she created inspired our Kraft It Up Challenge!  Lindsey's take on this challenge is sure to inspire you to dig into your Kraft and metal stash!

Lindsey:  "Kraft is more of a color thing to me. So when challenged to go kraft, I went all out. I searched high and low for "raw" things in the scraproom - from colored paper to chipboard. Instead of treating and retreating, I left everything raw - didn't even bring out the inkpad, that's transparency and rub-ons! - and it took every inch of my willpower not to add a few touches of color! The metal and rhinestones were a nice substitute for color - a little shiny never hurt anyone!"
You can find the details on of Kraft It Up Challenge HERE.  You have until March 29th to get your Kraft and metal out and show us how you get Krafty!

Thanks for stopping by...stop in again tomorrow for another DT reveal!!!!

Hello and thanks for stopping by today!

Tammy: "I used to use Kraft a lot, but haven't in a long time. Of course that doesn't keep me from having a large stash of it! This is a photo of my kids with two of their cousins. In the layout I used: DCWV Playtime stack, The Paper Company Kraft CS, American Crafts Thickers, MME brad and pennant, Jillibean Soup Sugar Picks, Fancy Pants Kraft Kuts journaling spot, and a yellow flower. Stash Challenge #1 ~ Kraft It Up!

For our first challenge we are going to get busy and ...
THE CHALLENGE:
Create a LAYOUT and at least 50% of the products you use on your layout must be Kraft paper and/or embellies.
Oh, and that's not it!
You will have to dig further into your stash because...
you must include 3+ metal embellishments..  You can mix or match the metal embellishments as long as there are 3 or more on you layout.

I have fallen in love with Kraft paper and all the different scrapbooking supplies that are made with it.  For my project I created this layout using the MME Kraft Funday collection that has been buried in my stash.  I really like all the fun patterned papers in this collection which as you can see are easy to layer.   I cut a tag from Kraft cardstock to add to the layers.   I dug a little deeper into my stash and pulled out (6) metal eyelets, a metal rosette that I added to the tag, and a paper clip which had a ribbon tied on it, that I replaced with one of the chipboard buttons from the MME Kraft Funday collection.   I threw in some washi tape and twine and here is the result:
And here is the prize you are playing for this month:
To be eligible for the prize drawing you must link up your project using Mr Linky

We are so excited that you stopped by to day for our last day of our
GIVEAWAY A DAY Contest!

Make sure you come back tomorrow to check out our first challenge under our new challenge format!!!

Before we get to our last giveaway, meet the last two members of our team.
Hi! My name is Brenda Ragsdale.   I am a native of California currently residing in Oregon. I am mother to two awesome adult sons and GrandDiva to two beautiful granddaughters and two handsome grandsons.  My top 5 favorites are my grandchildren, traveling, trying new restaurants, jazz and preserving my family’s memories through scrapbooking.   At the present time I am primary caregiver for my mother, so time with my grands and my traveling has been limited, but I get to scrap or at least play with my paper and scrapbooking supplies just about every day!!!! I have been a design team member on SOS & IIG for about 6 months and looking forward to the new challenge format and working on trying to use up some of my ever growing stash!
Hello! My name is Rochelle Spears.  After 15 years of Real Estate, I "retired" in 2010 and became a SAHM of 5 children (24, 19, 13, 6, and 4).  I am a loving wife to a wonderful husband who supports my craft to the fullest!  I have been scrapbooking since 2003 and I just can't get enough of it! I love product... the smell of new paper... I love seeing the creation in my mind come alive on my paper! I love putting the final touches on my layouts and the biggest love of all... is watching my husband pull out my scrapbooks when guests come over! :)   I don’t really have a set style... I love shabby chic, but also love bright colors and playful layouts and sometimes love to just go simple and clean.  Besides my family and scrapbooking, you will find me traveling, reading or watching Netflix! I love coffee in the morning, Mt. Dew during the day and chocolate at night.  This is me, Rochelle. :)

Giveaway A Day... Day 3

We hope you are having a wonderful Wednesday!!!
Welcome to Day 3 of our
GIVEAWAY A DAY Contest!

But, before we get to the giveaway, we would like you to meet 4 more members of our design team:

Hi, My name is Tamara Reed.  I live in South Jordan, Utah with my DH of 35 years.  We have two children, a daughter and a son who have given us three darling grandchildren.  I also work full time in a dental office.  I am very involved in my grandchildren's lives.  I am fortunate that they live so close which gives us opportunities to do "field trips" together.  You will see them often on my creations.  I have been scrapping since I was ten, back in the colored paper and rubber cement glue days. (LOL)   I scrap every chance I get, I love every aspect of it.  My dream is to quit my full time job and stay home and scrap 24/7.  It is scrapping friends like you that keep me full of enthusiasm while completing pages for my books.
I have been a happy scrapper for 15 years now. It helps that I have 3 willing subjects, my kids! I have 2 girls (Brittany - 22 and Jessica -10) and my little guy (Jason -5). With this age range, I can pretty much scrap just about every subject out there. Which makes me a happy shopper,…I mean, scrapper. :) My style is pretty simple and clean, but I'm willing to try any technique at least once. Nothing wrong with trying new things!
Hey y'all! Haley Dyer (aka the Inky Scrapper) is crafting with you from the beautiful north Georgia mountains! I became a scrapper when my oldest was a baby and loved that I could use my stash for cards, home decor, and more. Getting supplies is a challenge in my small town, so thirteen years ago I became a consultant with Close To My Heart. I'm also a full-time 5th grade teacher. Our two daughters (ages 11 & 14) keep my husband and me busy (while providing many scrapbook opportunities!). We enjoy living on a lake, camping, and traveling. I love to read too. You can find me at: http://inkyscrapper.blogspot.com.
I have been scrapbooking now for almost 10 years.  I have been a Close to My Heart Independent Consultant for past 6 years.  Along with scrapbooking, I enjoy making cards and home décor items.  With a room full of stuff to use up, I have made a bigger effort over the last couple years to use up some of my stash.  That doesn’t mean I don’t buy anything new but I have limited it and challenge myself to mix the old with the new.  I try to share everything I create on MyScrapbookingBlog.com and hope you will come by and visit.

Giveaway A Day...Day 2

Happy Tuesday Everyone!!!
Welcome to Day 2 of our
GIVEAWAY A DAY Contest!

Yesterday we introduced and/or reintroduced 4 of our Design Team members and today we have 4 more for you to meet.   After meeting these 4 lovely ladies you will find today's giveaway and how to enter into the drawing for the giveaway.

So without further ado, meet:

Hi! My name is Michelle.  I am a mother of 2 children: soon-to-be 6 year old girl & 3 year old boy,
3 dogs: my 13 year old Black & Tan Beagle, hubby's 9 year old Wheaten Terrier & our 1 year old Sheepdog. Will be married for 7 years in July. Scrapbooking has been an escape of sorts...which led to the name of my blog. Scrapbooking SOS  I started scrapbooking back in 2004 when I took a class at a Local Scrapbook Store(LSS). It was slow going at first working on my bridal shower pages. BUT once I got some great travels/trips, married and the kids came I was hooked. I got into making cards with a group of scrappy friends doing monthly swaps. This Summer will mark our 3rd Summer since we moved from the Jersey Shore Area of NJ, USA to the St. John's Area of Newfoundland, Canada
Hi! I'm Lindsey and I've been scrapbooking for over 13 years. I'm mostly scrapbooking for my family, dh, ds & dd, but occasionally you'll see my dcs (dear canines) and other life-happenings as well. I
prefer to create simple, photo+stash+paper pages, but I've always said I'll try anything once in scrapbooking. I've been on a no-buy for a few years now, since my favorite kit club ended. However, I have a dream scrapbooking room and plenty of stash in it to last for a few more years. And then there's always Hobby Lobby... Thanks for coming by SOS; I believe scrapbooking supplies are meant to be timeless, so don't be afraid to bring anything back!
Sarah Cooper, Ottawa Ontario CANADA. 'Mommy' to 4 VERY active Boys & Wife to Greg. Solar-Powered Summer Person, Fueled by Starbucks.  Macabre Fan and AVID Steampunk Enthusiast and proud GEEK, Comiccon is Heaven on Earth. I 'create' as much and as often as I can and read a LOT... perhaps too much... lol. Recent years have had me embracing many of the Celtic elements of my Scottish-Irish rooted heritage. This is often reflected in my Art work. Been making 'art' since I learned to finger-paint with my baby food on the wall... so my Mum tells me.  Scrapbooking, Art Journaling, ATC’s, Cards and various other Mixed Media style things. Basically if I can get supplies, I’ll make ‘something’ with it. Reduce-Reuse and Redecorate is My Personal Mantra.
Hi, I'm Charlotta and I live in Sweden. I am married with no kids and work as a legal interpreter in Spanish/Swedish. I came across scrapbooking in Miami (yes on vacation) when I went into a Michael's store and became curious. Back here I started to investigate and did some introduction workshops. Now I'm hooked! I still don't have a specific style but I prefer bright colours and hesitate "destroying" my papers to do a vintage look. In the blogospere I call myself La Vikinga ("the viking" in Spanish) since I am Scandinavian.

Now that you have met 4 more members of our team, here is the randomly drawn winner of our Day 1 giveaway:

Giveaway A Day....Day 1

We are so glad you stopped by today!
We are celebrating the launch of our new look and challenge format by hosting a
GIVEAWAY A DAY Contest starting today and ending on the 28th!
As you may or may not know Scrap Our Stash has made some changes and two of the most important changes are:
1.  We have merged with the If It’s Groovy Design Team members
2.  The SOS challenge format has changed
Our first challenge under the new format begins March 1 and we would love to have you join us!
This week, we will be introducing and/or reintroducing a few of our design team members each day.
After meeting a few of our team members, you will find the rules for today’s giveaway.

So without further ado, meet:

Hello!!!!  My name is Heather and I am sooooo excited to be joining the awesome Scrap Our Stash Design Team!  If you could only see my scrapbook room, you would understand the need to scrap my stash!!!  There is LOTS of it!  About me?  Oh yeah!  Ok . . . I am a wife to a wonderful Christian man and a mother to 4 boys!  Yes, all boys . . . I am highly outnumbered!  My oldest is 15 years old and my youngest are 6 year old triplets!  I love to take pictures of them and therefore I have a lot to scrapbook!  I have been scrapbooking since 2004 but I am NOT a chronological scrapper by any means. I scrapbook what inspires me at the time.  I would say that I am a fairly simple scrapper.  My favorite technique is to distress and I love to get ink on my hands!!!  In my free time (ha!), I work full time as a Human Resource Manager for the company that makes the 5 Hour Energy drinks (how do you think I accomplish so much each day? J).  I also enjoy baking, reading, creating and just having a wonderful time outside with my family!
http://www.scrappingtheguys.blogspot.com

My name is Kelly and I live in Texas with my hubby of 15 years who is thankfully very supportive of my crafting habit. We have 2 boys ages 14 and 12 as well as a 3 year old puppy who is our baby boy. I’ve loved crafts since I was little creating all kinds of things from cross stitching, rug making, sewing, crocheting, quilting and now playing with paper for scrapbooking, card making and an occasional altered item. My paper crafting style includes distressing and creating in clean lines with an occasional flair of ink or paint. I am a huge fan of using sketches and other challenges for inspiration. Other hobbies I enjoy are watching my boys play sports, reading, gardening, and fishing. I currently design for Paper Secrets, Sketch N Scrap & If It’s Groovy and am always looking for more ways to encourage more creativity. I am so excited to be a part of the new All About Boys Design Team :).  Visit me at

My name is Karen Williams and I have been scrapping about six years since the birth of my daughter.
I am a mother of three and a history teacher in my spare time ( or is it the other way round- both are very demanding). I am an exceedingly speedy scrapper. I usually take about half an hour to make a LO. I just don't have the time to make anything unless it is quick.

I'm so excited to be a part of the SOS Design Team!  My name is Tammy and I recently relocated to Kansas from North Carolina with my husband of 13 years and our three children, who are usually the subject of my scrapbooking obsession! I have scrapbooks dating back to my childhood back when stickers and scotch tape were all the rage, but started scrapping as we know it today when my son was born nine years ago.  I would say my scrap style is clean and simple, although I'm starting to get into a lot of paper layering due to the fact that I have a ginormous stash of patterned paper! The majority of my scrapbooking is layouts but I also enjoy making minibooks and altered projects.  Some of my other hobbies include running, sewing, and reading. I'm really excited about all the changes going on here at SOS and can't wait to see what everyone creates!

Now that you have met some of our team, here is today’s giveaway:

Anything Fuzzy - Groovy Deb

Today we are sharing the last DT reveal for the Anything FUZZY Challenge!!!

Today's layout is the work of Groovy Deb and here is what she has to say about getting FUZZY:
I adore layouts that make you want to reach out and touch them! When adding fuzzy materials that is exactly what I want to do!!! I used a fluffy material after adding glue using a glue pen which makes life easier.
I added it to the wings of each butterfly, as well as the big swirl under the very handsome and oh so adorable Kristen and her bf Jake :) Fuzzy was also added to the inside of the hearts!!!!
Thanks for coming by this month and seeing our fluffy layouts!

Peace, Deb♥

and here is Deb's beautiful layout:

Deb is taking some time off for awhile and I hope we get to see more of her work soon!

Our challenge runs until Feb 27th, so you have time to get your "Fuzzy" on!

Anything Fuzzy ~ Charlotta

Today we are sharing a project by Charlotta using something from her FUZZY stash.

Here are a few words from Charlotta regarding our challenge and her layout:
Hi!   I haven't bought so much furry stash but yes I have letters from American Crafts AND when I went to Holland a couple of weeks ago I happened to find some paper (sure not for scrapping) that I noticed had small snowflakes in a fuzzy material.. So voilá; here's my winter layout from last winter! It was 15 degrees Celsius below zero and the lake was frozen, so we literally walked on water. (Frozen water)

Here is Charlottas layout with the fuzzy snowflakes she fussy cut and popped up on her layout:

Pagerize This by Friend, Lindsey

Welcome to Pagerize #26
With us for Pagerizing this month is Lindsey! She has created this beautiful layout and now it is our turn to see how we become inspired to create one based on hers!
You will have until Feb 27th link your entry below.
Thanks, Deb♥

And now a few words from Lindsey:
I am going through a huge hounds-tooth phase, from paper, to scarves & mittens, to my new favorite blazer.

I rarely use black and white photography anymore. However, this picture called for black and white from Instagram to this layout. I also found myself craving a serene blue for this little sleeping beauty. I find myself leaning more and more toward monochromatic layouts these days.

In honor of houndstooth everywhere, I dug out this gorgeous Pink Paislee artisan tape and went nuts. I wrapped a chip circle and I also wrapped a Magistical Memories flower. I also partially framed the top and bottom. There is even a piece of packaging under the butterfly.   Leaving the colors black and white with just a touch of blue let me use a little extra houndstooth. After that, I just layered some fun black and white elements, found a way to use up some old monograms (it helped that the large 'm' was white and black), and touched up with some other pinches of black. You might see a Little Yellow Bicycle white ru-bon if you look close enough. I had a great time adding all the little details!

Anything Fuzzy ~ Tamara

Hello, Happy Tuesday!!!
Check out this fun layout DT Tamara created and embellished with a cute "Fuzzy" monkey!

Read what she says about our Anything Fuzzy challenge:
This was such a fun challenge! When I heard the word Fuzzy, my mind went immediately to fun flock. I haven't used that for quite a while so I ran to my stash and fuzzed up my layout. I used it on the monkey's ears and belly on all three monkeys. I also used it along the bottom left border to give it a dirt feel. It was super simple. I used a two way glue stick, then sprinkled some fuzz on. After I smashed it down so as much as possible would stay. Then you just brush off the leftovers and put it back in the bottle. Crew just loves this Monkey that I gave him. He is so thrilled with it, every time you say where's monkey or go get monkey, his face just lights up. It is so fun seeing him have so much joy with a stuffed animal. This was a great challenge. I hope you will take the plunge as well and find something fuzzy in your stash!

Make sure you stop by tomorrow, we have our Pagersize challenge posting and on the 14th we will have another DT reveal on our Anything "Fuzzy" challenge!

Anything Fuzzy ~ Wendy K

Good Morning and welcome back to another day of FUZZY inspiration!

Wendy K's thoughts on the challenge:

I knew just what I was going to use for this layout....I have these iron-on fuzzy letters that I have been trying to use up...Then I started digging in my stash and I was surprised to find many fuzzy things from felt pieces and borders to unopened packages of fun fuzzy embellishments. I've been trying to buy less for a very long time but even I have Thickers in my stash and that is what I ended up using for this challenge. You will most likely see another layout from me because I found many fun, fuzzy things in my stash and now I want to use them!

Anything Fuzzy ~ Elizabeth

Welcome friends, so happy that you stopped by to see how our DT Elizabeth interpreted our Anything FUZZY challenge and what she used from her stash!

In the words of Elizabeth:
The tiny fuzzy pompoms were leftover, and forgotten, after a Christmas cardmaking session with my two youngest grandchildren a few years ago. However, at the mention of the word fuzzy I remembered them and thought they would be perfect for this challenge. More often than not, I'm not too pleased with my scrap pages, but I am happy with this one. I've still to add the journaling but I'll do that later.

and here is Elizabeth's lovely layout using those fuzzy pom poms from her stash:

Anything Fuzzy ~ Karen

Hello!  Today we have more "FUZZY" inspiration for you.

Here is what DT Karen had to say about this challenge:
I used to have so much felt stuff in my stash but I found I had very little left when I started this challenge. In the end I just used some old felt sticker ribbon from Queen and Co to embellish the LO. The photo is Nancy at her brother's family birthday party. I have no idea why she looks so confused but I love to take close ups of my kids faces and do so at any opportunity. I guess I just took the chance when I had it.
...and here is her layout using her stash of FUZZY supplies:
You still have time to get your entry completed and uploaded!   Knock off some of the dust bunnies and pull those fuzzy things out that you have been hoarding and use them on a layout!!!
Link up your take of the challenge HERE before Feb 27th

Anything Fuzzy ~ Tammy

Have you created your layout for our Anything Fuzzy challenge yet?   If not, here's more inspiration from DT Tammy to get you inspired.

Here is what DT Tammy had to say about this month's challenge and getting FUZZY:
In this layout I found some ribbon that looks almost crocheted, I love it! The photos are of my oldest daughter who discovered the joys of playing with a roll of toilet paper--don't they all do that at some point? I used the goodies from an old Noel Mignon kit.
