"You" LO by DT Elizabeth Hellum

Happy Friday Crafters!

DT Elizabeth inspires us today with this lovely layout:
This is what Elizabeth said about her layout: " This was such a sweet and fun challenge. The sketch is pretty and I wanted to create a layout that was pretty! What better way to do this than scrap a photo of my daughter, Alyssa. I also mixed textures with the papers I used and kept the bottom portion of the paper so I could tie my twine there and bring the layout in to balance. I loved this sketch, keeping it simple yet popping it full with colors too!

Supplies: Pebbles Inc. Floral Lane With Delight papers, Studio Calico Classic Calico Dot One papers, Doodlebug Designs Petite Prints, Pebbles With Love You're Sweet papers, MME Miss Caroline twine, American Crafts Remarks Love Letter Peony stickers, Martha Stewart butterfly punches, Bazzill cardstock, Dear Lizzy date stamp, Pebbles Inc. Pearl Candy Dots, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist.

Have a wonderful Friday! :)

"You & Me" LO by DT Dulcinea Silva

Hello!  Today we have a fabulous layout from our DT Dulcinea:
Here's what Dulcinea said about her layout:
"Such a fun sketch challenge for layering! It's a long time I didn't try it, so I take pictures, paper, vellum and ribbon for making my layout about my niece and nephew. I have used some “masculine” color, but with a “feminine” and romantic feel. Now, it's your turn to be inspired for this great sketch!"

Have a great day!

"Graceful Friend" LO by DT Steffanie Seiler

Hello Crafters!

Today we have a wonderful layout by our DT Steffanie.  Love how she used 3 photos instead of 1!

This is what Steffanie said about her layout:
"I'm not good at using just one photo on a layout so I expanded the entire "platform" to support 3 photos. And actually, there are 4 photos. The extra is tucked behind the larger one with a pull tab on the left. This is what I love about sketches---they're so easy to adapt to your own style or needs. For the stash part of the challenge, I dug into my huge ribbon collection and pulled out the bright green piece you see behind my title and embellishments. I helps to balance the neon green that I ended up with in my photos!"

Make sure you come back tomorrow for more inspiration! :)

Introducing Returning Design Team Member, Kate Blue

Happy Monday Everyone!!!
Today is the last day of our Design Team Introductions!!!
We are excited to have this talented designer returning to our team!
Kate Blue
"My crafty name is Kate Blue, (or Queen Kat as my friends playfully call me since I love all things Snow White and the Evil Queen) coming from the great state of Maryland! In my previous life, I was an accountant until 7 years ago when I became a stay at home mom to care for my son had some serious ongoing health issues. So, I am now a wife, mom, semi home schooler, special needs advocate, cook, chauffeur and more to my two children and husband. I have been scrapping/crafting for about 7 years as well; I never considered myself artsy EVER (I can't even draw a stick person LOL) but came into scrapbooking accidentally when it was suggested that I look into it as a way to relieve the high stress levels I had since my son had been hospitalized/ill for almost two years. After 6 months of collecting supplies and a Scrapbook 101 class, I was hooked! I generally stick to scrapbooking, SMASHing, mini books and some mixed media canvases; for some reason, card making and stamping stump me in a major way!
You can find me at my blog:"

Kate has created an awesome page inspired by our current
to share with you:
"My Boys"
Kate shared this about her layout and the challenge:
"I shopped around and as always, had to start with my wood veneer SC stars! I then added an awesome square paper clip, two kinds of washi tape, some MME striped papers, a flair button from Shelley and then I kept going by adding a die cut and a journaling mini calendar in there too!
Happy shopping!!!"

Happy Sunday!
Today we have another Design Team introduction and inspiration to share with you!
Join Scrap Our Stash in welcoming back, talented designer
Megan Beaubien
"My name is Megan Beaubien. I live in Middle Tennessee with my husband, Brian and our two boys, Eli (3) and Max (2). I am a CPA and work part time as an audit manager in a local public accounting firm. I started scrapbooking about 11 years ago while in college and have done it off and on since then. The past year and a half I have scrapbooked more than ever and am truly enjoying it! I truly love playing with pretty paper and supplies. My two boys are usually the main subjects of my pages, and I love to look back on my pages to see them "growing up." They are young, but I still feel like it goes by too fast! Beyond scrapbooking, I am an avid sports fan - especially football - and enjoy watching a good game or listening to sports talk on the radio.
You can find more of my scrapbooking creations at my blog: http://meganlianesblog.blogspot.com/ "

And for today's inspiration, Megan has created a beautiful beach page to share with you inspired by our July Stash Challenge ~ "Let's Go Shopping"
"Beach Vacation"
Megan shared this about her layout and the challenge:
"For this challenge, I scrapped a picture I took from our vacation this summer at the beach. The stash items I used - which ended up being more than 5 - were striped paper, 3 arrows, cork embellishment, journal card, flair, tags, and die cuts. I also was able to use some of my new Studio Calico Hello, Hello kit and a Gossamer Blue kit I bought last summer for this challenge. I love when I can combine "older" with new!"

Scrap Our Stash is excited to have Megan return for another term and we are looking forward to seeing more of her wonderful creations!

Introducing Returning Design Team Member, Tanti K

Today we are excited to introduce you to another one of our talented returning designers
Tanti K
"Hi, my name is Tanti.
I was born and raised in Jakarta, Indonesia.
In 1994 I went to Germany for my studies. There I met my husband, so I stayed for good. Nowadays I'm a stay at home mom of 2 kids.
I speak Indonesian, German and English.
I've been papercrafting since I was in school.
15 years ago I started making cards for my friends and family.
In 2009 I fell in love with scrapbooking and I have been addict since I made a vintage mini album for my mother in law.

I love working with transparency or vellum. I like creating a homemade embellishment for extra details on most of my projects. My style is more CAS and colourful but I do also layering and messy style. Besides scrapbook pages I also love to make cards, mini albums and altered items.
You can see most of my creations on my blog: TantiK Creation"

For today's inspiration, Tanti is sharing her amazing layout inspired by our
July Stash Challenge ~ "Let's Go Shopping"
"Crabs Everywhere"
And this is what Tanti shared about her page and the challenge:
"I'm so glad that I could join this amazing team again for another 6 months term. Because SOS challenges were so inspiring for me just like this one.
I really had a lot of fun creating this page because I LOVE shopping in my stash.

 So, my five things are:
Five washi tapes.
One arrow paper clip.
Five wood veneers.
Two tags.
And two punchers ( circle puncher and flower puncher).
I've used the flower puncher to create the sun."

We are so pleased to have Tanti returning for another term and the wonderful inspiration she shares with us bi-weekly!

Introducing New Design Team Member, Claire Rambo

Hi everyone!
We are back with another Design Team introduction and more
July Stash Challenge inspiration!
 Meet new Design Team member
Claire Rambo

"Aloha! My name is Claire R. I'm originally from Hawai'i however currently living just north of Los Angeles, California with my husband. By day, I'm a certified massage therapist with a private practice, by night I scrapbook for the creativity and fun of it. My crafting journey started back in 2009, when I decided to make my very first Christmas cards. I made snowmen out of yarn, fussy cut the hats, hand drawn faces and adhered them to one layer of paper. I was a knitter at the time, so I had plenty, and still have plenty, of yarn laying around. Well, a couple of years later I decided to dive head first into paper crafting: I purchased a die cutting machine, created a blog and started participating in challenges to learn how to paper craft. Cards turned into home decor which turned into scrapbooking, scrapbooking and more scrapbooking....
Thank you to the wonderful women of SOS and I am truly honored to be part of such a creative team."
Claire's Blog:  Three Waters Creations

Claire's first Scrap Our Stash reveal is this lovely page she created inspired by our
July Stash Challenge " Let's Go Shopping"
"Local Style"
...And this is what Claire shared about her page and the challenge:
"I loved shopping in my stash for this challenge, that was so much fun. I found some long lost items and some newer items to use on my layout. My stash items are: (1) green buttons (I used 5 of them), (2) October Afternoon Flair button, (3) Tim Holtz mini paper clips (I used 3 of them), (4) star sequins (I used 8 of these long lost sequins), (5) Creative Embellishment wood veneers (3 of them), along with one piece of striped paper and several pieces of Jillibean Soup stickers. I also fussy cut all the cameras from JS: Pasta Fagioli collection. The story behind the layout is that my best friend in Hawaii has 5 free range chickens that just roam around her backyard. While I am all for free range chickens, I'm a bit squeamish of having them roam freely in the backyard. It took a lot of convincing from my friend to get me to go out and "hand" feed them. So it was a definitely a picture event when I finally relented and fed her chickens."

Scrap Our Stash is excited to have Claire on our team and we are looking forward to her sharing more of her awesome inspiration with our followers!

Introducing New Design Team Member, Nicole Doiron

Happy Tuesday!!!!
Are you ready to meet another new Design Team member?
Today we are introducing our next talented designer,
Nicole Dioron
"Hi! My name is Nicole Doiron and I live in Canada... in a small coastal town called Beresford in the province of New Brunswick, to be more specific. I share a home with my soulmate Yves (we've been together for 8 years) and our furry purry baby, Sugar the cat. We don't have children of our own, but we do have 2 wonderful nieces who we love to spoil and have fun with. We also have several friends with wonderful kids who let me scrapbook their pictures often. :) I l work in a fairly uninspiring office job during the day, and I let my inspiration and creativity loose in the evenings and weekends, doing the hobby that I love so much... scrapbooking!

My scrapbooking style varies a lot, adapting itself constantly to my moods and inspirations. My forte is definitely layouts (from single to double-page), but I do also create a lot of cards and have been challenging myself to create more and more beyond the page and mixed media projects, like canvases and frames. I like to use a lot of embellishments (chipboard shapes, flowers, gems/pearls, metal accents) and I love to incorporate different techniques on my creations like handmade stitching, stencilling with gesso or molding paste, misting, whitewashing, etc.

And I also love a great challenge so I'm thrilled to be part of the Scrap Our Stash DT! I hope that you will enjoy my creations and that they will inspire you to play along!
You can visit my blog at http://scrap-utopia.blogspot.ca."

For Nicole's first SOS Design Team reveal, she has created this stunning layout, inspired by our
"Hello Darling"
This is what Nicole shared with us about her reveal and the challenge:
"What a fun challenge this was for my very first one as a Scrap Our Stash designer. Scrapbooking and shopping sure seem to go hand in hand! I think half of the fun of this fabulous hobby is the time you spend in your favorite LSS browsing through each and every product available, old or new, and wishing you'd win the lottery in order to be able to buy the entire store! So, for this challenge, I used up the beautiful Crate Paper DIY Shop collection that I had recently purchased along with a few other embellishments to match. Of the list provided by Scrap Our Stash, I used a polaroid frame (chipboard shape around the picture), dimensional stickers (green flower cluster & bingo card), 2 tags (cut out from the Crate Paper patterned paper), wood veneer (title and mini typewriter from Studio Calico) and 3+ flowers (from Prima and Petaloo). If you like my layout and want to see more of my work, visit me @ http://scrap-utopia.blogspot.ca/
I can't wait to see what you create using this awesome challenge as inspiration!"

I don’t have a particular style I just go with the flow, but I love layering & ink splatters and I honestly admire mixed media pages. I get many good ideas from sketches and challenges online. Introducing Returning Design Team Member, Patricia Barnett

I hope you had a wonderful 4th of July!!!!
Today we are continuing with the introduction of our new Design Team members
and we are very pleased to introduce you to returning Design Team member,
Patricia Barnett
"Hello my crafty friends!
My name is Tricia and I am from Sunny Southern California, mother of one beautiful daughter Breanna Nichole (6) and a brand new fury friend, Brownie. I have been creating for about 17 years and have enjoyed every moment of it. I began scrapbooking right when there weren’t too many “safe” products out there to use. Since my attendance to a Scrapbook Expo it went all down hill from there! I usually reference that as my “coming out party!” Most of my projects and layouts you will see will be of my daughter as she IS the subject and focus of my life! I have met so many cool people through the world of crafting in which I am so lucky to have many of them as my friends!

I’m usually kept busy doing layouts, canvas pieces, Project Life, Art Journaling and my favorite…. Mini Books! Whatever it is I am creating I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE using embelIies! You will almost always find some BLING, Washi Tape, Paint, and most likely some doodling. =) I

Besides crafting, I love spending time with my family, friends, traveling, reading, dancing and working out. I am usually never still and always involved in something.

I am super excited to be a part of such an awesome design team here for Scrap Our Stash!
All the designers are extremely talented and I am sure you will find inspiration every time you visit!
I am totally looking forward to another term and I hope you are too!
Stay tuned to see some cool stuff!

Good Morning!
It's day two of our Design Team introductions.
Today we are reintroducing returning Design Team Member
Dulcinea Silva
"My name is Dulcinea Silva, but everyone calls me Dulce. I’m a Brazilian girl, but I've lived in Portugal since 2005, after getting. I have a husband, no children yet, and a cute cat. I live on Portimão, a medium summery town, south of the Algarve. It's the best place to be in the summer.

In my free time, I love writing, photographing and scrapbooking. I've made handmade cards since I was a teenager. However, I met scrapbooking in 2003 when I lived on Oregon, USA. Since then, I have just been so in love with it. I like mixing papers, stamping and hand stitching. I especially found myself interested about telling my story, using pictures and my creativity for that.
I am looking forward to being inspired and learning so much with you."

After choosing these items,  I began to shop my stash, and I bought:
 (1) Washi tape (2) sequins (3) flowers (4) wood veneers (5) die cut.
Now, it’s your turn for a fun challenge and layout!"

Introducing New Design Team Member, Steffanie Seiler

Hello!
This week and continuing on until the 14th, we will be introducing a new or reintroducing a returning Design Team Member daily, along with their reveals inspired by our
July Stash Challenge ~ Let's Go Shopping!

Scrap Our Stash is excited to introduce to you our first team member
Steffanie Seiler
"Hi! My name is Steffanie. I started scrapbooking when my oldest son was a baby---he's now 15! I also have another son who is 10. These two are my primary scrapbook subjects in addition to a golden retriever puppy, a calico kitty and, of course, everyday life.
In the early days, I was definitely a flat, non-lumpy-bumpy scrapper---I now can't imagine scrapping that way. Although I don't really dabble much in mixed media, I do need to have layers and dimension on my pages. I think I have a pretty good eye for color, balance and details. I like clean lines and don't really do messy.
My husband and I live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest region of the United States. My favorite season is summer. I like coffee, chocolate, pizza and wine (among other things!). Besides scrapbooking, I enjoy running and just being outdoors. I am an RN and work very part-time so that I can spend most days being home fulfilling my role as wife and mom...and have plenty of time for scrapbooking, of course!"

Steffanie's Blog: Glimpses of Life from a Brown Eyed Girl

Today Steffanie is sharing this wonderful bright, and cheerful layout she created, inspired by the
Let's Go Shopping" Stash Challenge
"These Are The Days"
...and this is what Steffanie shared about her reveal and the challenge:

"I had a lot of fun "shopping" my stash for the right ingredients for this page. It actually made me take a different approach to my scrapbooking. I usually start with photos and a sketch. This time I pulled out items I wanted to use and created a layout around those. The photos came last---although I had a pretty good idea what I wanted to use while I was creating!

I used the following items to complete this challenge: Washi tape, striped paper (diagonal), Polaroid frame, wood veneer, journaling card, 2 or more types of punches.
That makes 6 different items from the list---and a successful shopping trip!"

And now for the challenge...
For this challenge we are going to shop our personal stash, we will not be taking a trip to our local scrapbooking stores.
Here's the rules:
From the shopping list below, shop for (5 or more) different items in your stash.
Create a layout and include those (5) items on your page. Each item will only count as one, for example: a wood veneer polaroid frame will only count as a frame or as wood veneer, you decide. If you choose arrows you must use (3) but it only counts as 1 of the 5 items on the list.
*Make sure you include in your blog write up the (5) items you used, to be eligible for the monthly prize drawing.

You are allowed to add anything else you desire to complete your page!

We are thrilled to introduce our
July Guest Designer
Rachelle Olaridge
"Hi there. My name is Rachelle.
I am a mother to 2 grown sons and grandmother to 2 beautiful grandchildren.
I was a 6th grade teacher for 7 years.  Now I am wheelchair bound and keeping busy is still my goal.
I started scrapbooking in 2008 when I viewed a friends work. My passion quickly turned into addiction for this type of artistry and I never looked back. I am very passionate about this hobby. It's not just about creating albums but it is a work of art. I love taking pictures to use to document life. Thus, here I am today enjoying my passion as therapy and inspiration to others. Now that I am wheelchair bound, each day is filled with being inspired, creating, providing inspiration through my work and treasuring the memories.
My obsession has expanded since 2009 for creating cards, tags, altered art work, mixed media, wood and canvas artwork. I love using a variety of techniques, elegant and fun elements. Yes, I do send out a few cards. My style has been described as detailed, beautiful, and multifaceted. My greatest strength is attention to detail. I like to take the viewer on a visual journey of my inspirational designs."

Here's Rachelle's fabulous reveal inspired by the challenge:
This is what Rachelle shared about her page and the challenge:
"For this challenge I went with the shabby chic style layout. This delivers a softer and feminine look which highlights the picture. I used a generous amount of layering and pastel colors for inking and embellishments. With the final touches the layout came to the perfect height of inspiration.
I so enjoyed this challenge because I really needed to go through my stash and see what else I could go shopping for!"
Here are the items I found in my stash to complete the challenge:
Enamel dots (2 sets), Arrows, Wood Veneer, Journaling Card, Sequins (3), Flowers (3+)"

Thank you so much Rachelle for providing this beautiful inspiration and agreeing to be our July Guest Designer.   We are excited to have you design with our team this month!

So who's ready to shop their stash?   We are looking forward to seeing all of your creations inspired by this challenge!
