"Captured" by DT Joefil

Happy Friday!

Today Joefil shares with us this gorgeous layout:
Joefil said this about her layout:

This challenge was fun! but, I don't usually make monochromatic layout, because I love different colors on my page but love this! I used some patterned papers from my stash, as long as the color are the same. I created this layout using light green colors.
And here's my 5 premade embellishment from my stash to go with the challenge:
1. 10 rain dots
2.6 sequins
3.4 bling
4. flair button
5. square wood veneer

She sure did work this Monochromatic challenge!

"Friends" LO by Rochelle

Hey all!  Rochelle here and today I am sharing with you a monochromatic layout that I created for our current Stash challenge:
I had lots of fun creating this layout. For one, it's a layout of my friends and I when we got together a couple of months ago.  It had been quiet some time since I had seen both of them and we had a fabulous time! :)  Another reason I had a great time creating this layout was because it really made me dig into my stash and pull out anything that worked with the color I chose.  I think I used some Echo Park, October Afternoon, Prima, Heidi Swapp and Ruby Rock It.  As far as the 5 different items on my layout - chipboard stars, twine, flower, doily and banner.  I also combined this monochromatic layout with a Bingo challenge over at Sketches4All that I am hosting.

For more information please refer to the Monochromatic layout challenge.

"Mitchell" LO by DT Elizabeth

Happy Hump Day!

Today Elizabeth inspires us with her layout she created for the Monochromatic Layout Challenge:

Elizabeth said:
This challenge was so much fun! In the past when I have done a monochromatic layout I never thought to use pattern papers and this time while looking through my stash, I realized that I could use anything of that color as long as it stayed in that color and also showed the different hues of that color and viola! I created this using grays, and I am in love with it!

Here's my 5 to go along with the challenge as well:
1.Used one star. 2. Used two different gray washi tape. 3. Used three different punches. 4. Used four different sized mini pearls. 5. Used four different patterned papers..

What a fun challenge!

See you back here tomorrow with more inspiration!

"Brother And Sister: Play Together, Stay Together" LO by Dulcinea

Hey Crafters!

Today, Dulcinea is inspiring us with this beautiful monochromatic layout:
Here's what Dulcinea said about her layout:
"I have to say, I love the color palette. For me working with one color, it was really a challenge. But, I got it! First, I have to choose just one color, and since I have this paper from Crate Paper I want to use, I work with greens. Since I can't let white, I use just for my title. Time for embellishments, I use premade: (1) chipboard, (1) stickers, (2) blings, (2) miscellany, (3) flowers, (4) alphabet stickers. Now, it's your turn embrace this challenge!"

"Snapshots of Today" LO by DT Carol

Happy Monday!!!

What a wonderful way to start our week with this wonderful layout byDT  Carol:
Carol said this about her layout:

That was a hard one for me! In order to get all my blue embellies I had to mix and match different collections, which I don't normally do! So I first decided on the color I would use. I picked blue because it is my favorite color. Then I picked a picture that had blue on it! And finally I went through my stash looking for blue stuff.

The pre packed embellies were: 1 button, 5 enamel dots, 3 chipboard pieces (2 arrows and 1 pin wheel), 2 journaling card, 1 washi tape and several stickers.
I hope you like the challenge and play along!

Make sure you come back every day for our daily inspiration!

And now we are excited to introduce to our
June Guest Designer
ClaireR
"Aloha SOS Fans! I am such a fan of SOS and so honored to be the June guest designer. My name is ClaireR. I'm originally from Hawai'i however currently living just north of Los Angeles, California with my husband, aka the hubz. You know what they say: "You can take the girl out of Hawai'i, but you can't take Hawai'i out of the girl."
My crafting journey started something like this. One winter back in 2009, I decided to make Christmas cards (on a whim, just for fun). I made really cute snowmen out of yarn and adhered them to one layer of paper. I was a knitter at the time, so I had plenty, and still have plenty, of yarn laying around. Those cards were a hit with my friends and family. The next year I decided to buy a Christmas card kit with paper and diecuts. Well that was so much fun but I wanted to do so much more, I wanted to create my own die cuts. So on my birthday in 2011, I bought a Cricut, one month later I created my blog, www.ThreeWatersCreations.blogspot.com, started participating in challenges to learn how to create cards and that is how my crafting journey started. Cards turned into home decor which turned into scrapbooking, scrapbooking and more scrapbooking....
I look forward to visiting all your blogs and seeing your scrapbook pages this month. Mahalo!  "

"Water Fun" by Rochelle

Looking for DT CALL? Click HERE.

Hello!

Today I bring to you my layout for May Sketch #14:

Creating my own background is always so much fun! I don't do it as much as I would like to, but I love it! I started with mist sprays. Then used a Crafter's Workshop chevron stencil with ink. After, I added the little triangles with a rolling stamp by Glitz. I added the think black circles using a lid of a sugar jar. For my finishing touch, I doodled around the page. :)

 Again, here is the sketch:

Well, this month is coming to an end!  Make sure you come by on the 31st to see who made the top 3 and who is the winner of this month's sponsored prize!

"Books" LO by DT Megan!

Hello Crafters!

Today's gorgeous inspiration comes from our DT Megan:
Here's what Megan said about her layout:
"For my layout, I ended up flipping the sketch and making a column of pictures to the left. For my title, I laid out Heidi Swapp letter masks (that have been in my stash for quite awhile!) and colored over the letters with an ink dauber. I also used a circle star mask on three spots on my layout. I sprayed over the masks with Mr. Huey in Shell. After making the background, I added in my column of pictures, added my journaling and a few embellishments. A lot of the items came from the Studio Calico May kit."

Have a great day!

"Crochet Mania" by DT Tanti

Happy Memorial Day!

Today's gorgeous inspiration comes from DT Tanti:
Tanti said: "This is absolutely my favorite challenge this month. I had so much fun making my own background. This is how I did it.  I used a white cardstock for my background. I begun with putting some paper doilies all around the page and glimmer misted it.  Then, I put my homemade polka dot mask on the cardstock and also glimmer misted it to give more structure to the background. After that, I took a TP roll, painted the rim with an acrylic paint and stamped it on my background paper to get those circle prints.  If you want to know how I made my polka dot stencil/mask here is the tutorial on

Happy scrapping!"

"Rock Pool Critters" Lo by DT Kerry

Hey Scrappers!

Check out today's inspiration by DT Kerry:

This is what Kerry said about her layout:

"My background for this page was created using homemade texture paste spread with a spatula in a block. Then using the spatula again I squeezed yellow shimmer paint through sequin negative that I have an abundance of because I purchased a 5m roll on sale! I coloured some more paste with pink paint and used a cookie cutter dipped in the mixture to make the circles that you can see peeking out from behind the starfish.   I hope you get to play along with our sketch, it was a little out of my comfort zone but hey, I'm always up for peeking outside my box! How about you?"

Here's the sketch:

Just a few more days left to get your layout uploaded for

"Play Hard" LO by DT Kelly

Happy Scrappy Saturday!!!

Today we are inspiring you with this sporty layout by DT Kelly:
This is what Kelly said about her layout:
This was definitely a good challenge for me since I usually don't spend the time working with stencils/masks much but I LOVED how it turned out for my son's baseball page. I used a Crafters Workshop stencil for the background which reminded me of the baseball fence. I also used a circle stencil to create the baseballs. Out came some older clear arrow and star stamps that I've never used! I created the film strip on my Cricut Expression machine and used the punched out squares as part of the title. I am loving the layouts using this super fun sketch and handmade background papers.

Don't forget you still have time to upload your layouts for May challenges if you haven't already! :)

This month's prize is a $30 GC to Your Scrapbook Stash!

"16 Days Old" Layout by DT Robin

Hi there!
Today's adorable Sketch with Stash inspiration is being shared by
DT Robin:
This is what Robin share about her page:
"It was so fun to scrapbook my precious puppies. I don’t know how I’m going to handle it when  they have to go to new homes!

I used Light Molding Paste along with a stencil from The Crafters Workshop. It’s very subtle since I didn’t add any color to the molding paste. I also used Tim Holtz stencil, Dot Fade, along with Art Anthology’s Cinnamon Toast Colorations Spray. I used the same spray to sprinkle dots around the page.

For closer details on this layout, please visit my blog:

Until next time,"

"Memory Blooms" LO by DT Jenni

Good Morning Crafters!
Today we bring you this wonderful inspiration from Scrap Our Stash DT Jenni:

Jenni said this about her layout:
This sketch is probably my favorite since I have been part of the Scrap Our Stash DT! It is so inspiring and there is nothing I love more right now than the mixed media trend! I really tried to use as much media as possible. I misted the background first with the elongated hexagon stencil. Then I stamped a mini hexagon background stamp on top of it, which actually ended up being covered up. On top of that, I used Distress Ink over the 'Remember' stencil from Heidi Swapp. To highlight the 'Remember' even more, I used some gold embossing paste with a circle stencil. I watercolored a piece of white cardstock that I mounted the vellum and photo to. I love being able to experiment with new materials and just play. Sometimes, the Virgo in me needs the unpredictability that comes with using media that is supposed to be loose!

Don't forget to link up your layout for this sketch challenge and the May 1st Stash Challenge (both challenges can be found HERE) to the sidebar by May 29th! :)

"We Love Movies" LO by DT Leila

Hello!

Today's fabulous inspiration is brought to us by DT Leila:

Here's what Leila said about her layout:
"Our family is addicted in movies...we watch in home, in cine..every kind of movies, actions, comedy, romantic and etc… To make my background I used a white cardstock, stencil by Prima, distress ink and spray inks too, some stamps and washi tapes.  I choose a clean style and put just a few embellies.  I hope you like it!"

Have you started your layout for the May sketch challenge?  You still have some to upload it to the side bar! :)
