"Hanging With U" Layout by DT Cassie

Today's inspiration is this super fun layout created by SOS designer, Cassie
inspired by our
Cassie:

A - American Crafts, Ampersand
L- Layering, Lined Paper, Little B, Little Letters
B- Black, Bazzill, Black Ink
U- Uniball Pen, “U” (in my title)
M- Mist, Mustaches, Making Memories, Me & My Big Ideas
S- Sequins, Simple Stories, Stars, Studio Calico, Stripes

I loved this word challenge, at least until I came to the letter “U”. After lots of thinking about what I could use, especially since I had already picked out my pictures. Once I finally figured out that letter I had so much fun creating this page. I love the look of hand-stitching but I seem to always forget about doing it until the page is done and I then don’t want to spend the time on it. It really seems to bring this page together and the extra texture it adds is a favorite of mine.

Inspired by Cassie's awesome layout and all of the items she found in her stash to complete her layout?
Why not go through your stash and see what you can find for each of the letters in our word this month, create a layout and share it with us.
Link up your take on the challenge by November 29th and you will be entered in to our
November Prize Drawing.
Here is a look at the challenge, just make sure you check out the complete
challenge details found HERE before starting on your page:
Enjoy the rest of your weekend and make sure you return tomorrow for more
awesome inspiration from our design team!

inspiration is the creative work of talented SOS Designer, Rachelle
Rachelle:
"Hi there scrappers! Rachelle here sharing my take on the Stash Challenge. I designed using multiple layers, wood chipboard, and mixed media. I have been holding on to this picture for awhile. This picture shows a Mother's Love. Little Olivia's mom hold Olivia's cute feet with her heart shaped hands. This is the focal point which I wanted to stand out with less accents. I so hope you have been inspired to start your stash layout. Can't wait to see your take!

"The Big Cheese" Layout by DT Sherri

What a fun, delightful layout SOS Designer, Sherri created to share
with us today inspired by our
Sherri:
"I call this layout "The Big Cheese!" since Capt Mickey is in the center of the photo! This was taken on our January 2014 Disney Fantasy Cruise to the Eastern Caribbean. I love to try to use the big 8x10" photos that I have from some of our Disney Cruises on these word challenges. Since the photos take up so much of the page, I find using the WORD CHALLENGE for the embellishments on my layout really works. Here is what I ended up using:

A - Arrows / Anchor / Adirondack Alcohol Ink / Admission Ticket

L - Lined Simple Story Paper / Letters / Layers

B - Brads / Bazzill Cardstock / Banners

U - Letter "U" in CrUise

M - Metal Anchor / Metal Brads / Mickey Mouse Ears

S - Stickers / Stars / Simple Stories Say Cheese and Say Cheese 2

I really love these word challenges - they help to get my creative "Mojo" flowing, and help me to use up some of the "Stash" that I've been accumulating. I hope you will play along with us at
Scrap Our Stash this month!!

"Stay Foever Young" Layout by DT Steffanie

Happy Monday!
Today's  awesome November Stash Challenge inspiration is the creative work of talented
SOS Designer, Steffanie:

Steffanie:
"Here is what I used:
A - arrow, (chipboard) alphas
L - lime green, (sticker) letters
B - mini banner
U - upcycled coffee cozy
M - mist, Mickey punch
S - stars, striped paper

Most of the letters were pretty easy with the exception of U. I fought this one until I looked up the defintion for upcycle. This is what I found:
"When you upcycle an item, you aren’t breaking down the materials. You may be refashioning it — like cutting a t-shirt into strips of yarn — but it’s still made of the same materials as when you started. Upcycling only requires your own creativity and elbow grease.

Upcycling is the process of converting old or discarded materials into something useful and often beautiful. When you upcycle you are giving an item a new purpose. "

After reading this, I decided that what I do with cardboard coffee cozies fits the description perfectly. I had always thought that what I did was recycling, when in fact it is Upcycling! And suddenly I had my U!!

Please visit my blog for a closer look at my upcycled item and what I did to achieve the look.
Thanks and have fun playing along with us here at Scrap Our Stash!!"

November Stash Challenge #32 ~ Guest Designer Daniela Dobson

Good morning  and welcome to the reveal of
Stash Challenge #32

But before we reveal our challenge, meet our
November Guest Designer
Daniela Dobson
"My name is Daniela Dobson and I live in Dallas, TX. I am married to Peter and we have a little boy, Alex, who is 7 years old. I have been scrapbooking and stamping for over 15 years. I really enjoy challenges and strive to be innovative. I love recording every day moments, especially now, with my son. I have always kept a record of my life through journaling and photos, and scrapbooking allows me to combine those two. I don’t want to forget the important and not so important moments. When I am not scrapbooking I enjoy cooking, running, reading, and watching TV. I am currently designing for Technique Tuesday, Impression Obsession, Therm O Web, Elle’s Studio and Emma’s Paperie. I am really excited to be Guest Designing this month.

My blog: Create Your Everyday Memories"

Thank you Daniela for agreeing to be our guest this month!!!

Now that we have the challenge and the rules out of the way, it is time for a little
Stash Challenge inspiration.

Check out the fun, bright layout  GDT Daniela Dobson created inspired by our challenge.

"Play in the Puddles"
Daniela shared this with us about her page:
"I had to challenge myself to get some of the items from “ALBUMS” on the page. I really had a hard time with “U” and umbrella kept coming up. I knew I had a photo of my son with his umbrella so I thought I would design one in my Silhouette Studio. The umbrella creation prompted me to make a cloud with some rain coming down. I designed the page with a large letter “A” that is outlined with a Silhouette sketch pen and then cut out with the Cameo. Here are all the challenge supplies I used on the layout:
A – letter A (for Alex)
L – lines on the paper background
B – buttons
U – umbrella
M – modeling paste (for the triangles)
S – stripes, stars, Silhouette, and stickers"

Are you inspired by Daniela's awesome layout and/or the challenge?
If so, I sure hope you get a chance to dig through your stash, create a layout and share it with us for a chance to win this month's prize:
