Introducing Returning Designer Patricia Barnett

Join with us in welcoming back talented
Designer
Patricia Barnett
Patricia is a veteran and celebrating her ninth term with Scrap Our Stash
and we are looking forward to the inspiration she will be creating to share
with us this term.
"Hello my crafty friends!
My name is Tricia and I am from Sunny Southern California, mother of one beautiful daughter Breanna Nichole (6) and a brand new fury friend, Brownie. I have been creating for about 17 years and have enjoyed every moment of it. I began scrapbooking right when there weren’t too many “safe” products out there to use. Since my attendance to a Scrapbook Expo it went all down hill from there! I usually reference that as my “coming out party!” Most of my projects and layouts you will see will be of my daughter as she IS the subject and focus of my life! I have met so many cool people through the world of crafting in which I am so lucky to have many of them as my friends!

I’m usually kept busy doing layouts, canvas pieces, Project Life, Art Journaling and my favorite…. Mini Books! Whatever it is I am creating I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE using embelIies! You will almost always find some BLING, Washi Tape, Paint, and most likely some doodling. =) I

Besides crafting, I love spending time with my family, friends, traveling, reading, dancing and working out. I am usually never still and always involved in something.

I am super excited to be a part of such an awesome design team here for Scrap Our Stash!
All the designers are extremely talented and I am sure you will find inspiration every time you visit!
I am totally looking forward to another term and I hope you are too!
Stay tuned to see some cool stuff!
See you around!"
Tricia

Today's inspiration was created by Patricia
inspired by the

Patricia:

"Our favorite holiday of the year and this is one of my daughters favorite tradition, which is tree decorating and placing the tree topper. This was the first year she was able to reach and place all by herself, she was so happy and proud!

Paper used: Pink Fresh Studios, "Oh Joy".
Utilized from the Scrap Room stash of mine!

Row used: Paint / Mist, Winter Theme (paper), & The Color Blue...diagonal.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!

Introducing New Designer June Swart

Hello and welcome to another day of our Design Team Introductions!!!
Please join us in welcoming another new member to our team,
talented designer,
June Swart
Welcome aboard June, we are excited to have you on the team and looking forward to the
fascinating inspiration you will be sharing with us!
"Hi there! My name is June, and I am thrilled to be part of the SOS design team! Being an avid scrapbooker and cardmaker, I create something new almost every day. I enjoy making cards, but scrapbooking is my true passion. I started my first scrapbook as a teenager in the 1970s and I’ve created dozens of albums since. My style varies, as I love trying new techniques and crossing over ideas from cardmaking into scrapbooking. Mostly I just like to have fun, be creative, and add a little humor or something clever. I love to push my creativity, and as a former teacher I also like to encourage others to do the same. I started my blog, Super Stick Chick, just last year. I also have a strong following on Flickr as snazzyjj.

I am a stay-at-home mom who lives in Minnesota and is married to her sweetheart, Jeff. We have two wonderful sons (ages 16 and 28) and two playful cats. I love to do all sorts of papercrafting, gardening and Jazzercise."

"A New Year's Resolution"
June:
"I am so excited to join the Scrap Our Stash team! This is the first time I’ve ever been on a design team. I am trilled and nervous, but most of all looking forward to enjoying this adventure with all of you. For my debut, I thought it would be fun to combine my two favorite hobbies – papercrafting and aerobics – with a traditional New Year’s Resolution.

For the tic-tac-toe challenge, I used the first column:
Paint (gold)
5+ pattern papers
Twine
(I also “accidentally” did the top row with paint, die cuts & Simple Stories.)

Wanting to add a lot of energy to this page, I punched 1” circles from a bunch of pattern papers – mostly from Bobunny’s Believe collection (can you spot their tag on page?), but also a little Simple Stories, too. The gold stars on top were made with Inka Gold paint and a stencil. If you would like more detail on this page you can visit my blog
http://superstickchick.blogspot.com/."

And here's a look at our challenge that inspired June's layout:

We appreciate your visit today.  We will be introducing another team member
tomorrow, so we hope to see you then

Introducing Returning Designer, Asa Johansson

Happy Monday!

It's day eight of our Design Team introductions and we are excited to have returning designer
Asa Johansson
continuing on our team for another term!
We can't wait to see the fabulous inspiration
she has in store to share with us for the next six months:
"My name is Åsa Johansson and I´m from Sweden. I´m 39 years old or I rather say young. I live here with my hubby and our three kids (one boy and twin girls) and a dog. I work as a teacher since 16 years.

My big hobby, or maybe I may say addiction, is scrapbooking and cardmaking. I started out in 2007 when I was pregnant with our twin girls. But I see 2012 as my real beginning. That is when I started my blog and had a little more time to scrap because the life with twins was crazy in the first years...

I like to join different challenges and I´m a team member in some Design Teams. I think I developed by that.

I don´t know if I can describe my style. In cardmaking it is CAS for sure but my layouts varies. But I often use white cs as a background, many layers and bright colors. I got a Silhouette Cameo some months ago and I love to cut out things to add to my layouts.

I´m so proud to be a part of the design team here at Scrap Our Stash. I hope I can give you some inspiration during the months.

Please visit my blog if you want to see more from me.

And for today's inspiration, Asa has created a beautiful layout inspired by the

"Let It Snow"
Asa:
"Hi my scrappy friends!
I hope that the beginning of the year has been good for you.

Here´s my take on our first Tic Tac Toe challenges. Love these challenges where you have so many options to create.
I decided to use the diagonal row: paint/mist, winter theme, blue.

And now it´s your turn. Can´t wait to see your work.

Hugs!
Åsa"

Introducing Returning Designer Michelle Henderson

It's day seven of our Design Team introductions!
Our next designer is celebrating
her second term with Scrap Our Stash!
Join with us in welcoming back talented designer
Michelle Henderson
We are thrilled to have Michelle back on the team and looking
forward to the awesome creations she will be sharing with us inspired by our challenges!
"Hi everyone I'm Michelle and I'm from the shaky South Island in New Zealand!

I live in Christchurch (which had a major earthquake in 2011 that we're all still slowly recovering from), with my husband of 31 years, 2 teenage daughters that I love but drive me batty sometimes, and 2 psychotic cats. My poor hubby is outnumbered 5 to 1 as even the cats are girls!

I've been scrapping for around 15 years although it's just in the last couple of years that I've discovered what a huge online community there is for scrappers. I can spend hours "window" shopping online, checking out techniques on YouTube, finding things I like on Pinterest, reading blogs and updating my own blog. I love competing in online challenges as they always give a "push" to get those photos on to layouts and then into albums.
I'm also on the design team for my local scrapbook store The Paper Teapot.

I am super pumped to be on the Scrap Our Stash design team and I hope that I can inspire you to create, create, create!"

Today Michelle is sharing the amazing layout she created inspired by the

"Young, Wild & Free"
Michelle:
"Happy New Year everyone - or is it too late to still say that?
Here's my take on the first of the Tic Tac Toe challenges. I used the bottom horizontal line - twine on the tag and the button, a couple of gorgeous paperclips, and blue in the denim of the ribbon and also watercolour background.
There are so many different ways to interpret these type of challenges - I look forward to seeing YOURS!
Come visit me at my blog for further details

We would love to see what you created using this board!

Introducing New Designer, Karin Dahllof

Hello and welcome to our sixth day of Design Team introductions.
Today we would like you to join us in welcoming one of our new incredibly talented designers and look forward to all of the wonderful creations she will be sharing with us!
Welcome aboard
Karin Dahllof
"My name is Karin Dahllöf, aka Kada, and I live at the island
of Orust in Bohuslän, Sweden with my husband and our cat. Scrapbooking is a lifestyle to me, a part of my daily life, my nerv of life. To create is to be free, to have fun och be personal. Nothing is right or wrong, it's fantastic!

I began to scrapbook in 2004, just after our marriage. But I have made birthday cards ever since I was a child. I love to create with paper
and try different techniques, tools, etc.

To be a member of this design team means a lot to me
and I am so looking forward to this term. I really hope I can give you inspiration to feel the fun in this hobby.
You are welcome to visit my blog:

Now it's time to check out the incredible layout Karin created inspired by the
"Winter Life"
Karin:
"What a great challenge this is; you can use many different things from your stash.
I chose a diagonal row: Simple Stories, Winter Theme and Twine.
The pictures of my lovely niece playing in the snow we had back in November is just perfect, don't you think?!
Simple Stories is the washi tapes, the chip board decorations and the journaling card. I used twine by doing a rope. The papers that are so spot on for my pictures I got from a monthly Swedish Paper Club. For more information, please visit my blog: https://kada72.wordpress.com/
Looking forward to see what you create for this challenge!
Love Kada"

Look forward to seeing the awesome inspiration she will be sharing with us for the next six months.
Welcome back
Carmen Hernriquez
"Hello! My name is Carmen, I was born in Brazil and live in Panama with my husband Alfredo. We have a married son who lives in Massachusetts with his wife and a newborn baby Elliot, our first grandchild. I have been scrapbooking for about 9 years, and I'm completely addict to it. About my style I can say that it's mostly clean, graphic and bright but I also love to try new techniques, love challenges and sketches! I also love to knit, cook and bake, crosshatching and appliqué. I find Pinterest an endless inspirations source!"

Introducing Returning Designer Sherri DeKnight Caramcio

Hello, scrappy friends!
It's day four of our Design Team introductions!
We are excited to have talented designer
returning to our team for another term!
Look forward to seeing the wonderful creative and colorful inspiration she will be
sharing with us for the next six months!
Welcome back
Sherri DeKnight Caramico
"My name is Sherri Caramico, I live in Northern New Jersey. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 34 years, and am the mother of 2 adult sons, and 2 young Portuguese Water Dogs. All of them are my favorite subjects! We love to travel and Disney Cruising and Disney Parks are our favorite way to vacation. I love meeting people, and enjoy photographing our journeys. I started scrapping late in my children's lives, ( about 12 years ago,) and I know I will never get "caught up." I'm okay with that, as I like to scrap what I "feel like" scrapping, and love lots of layers, textures and "stuff" on my pages.

I work full time in the corporate world and scrapbooking helps me to relax from a busy day, and get creative. It has helped me to meet so many people that I now call my true friends. I love going on weekend scrapbook retreats with my scrappy friends, and creating and laughing together late into the night! I enjoy sharing my work, and hope I inspire others to think outside the box and encourage them just try a new technique or product. I believe there is no right or wrong, no good or bad in scrapbooking - everyone has their own personal "art" inside them." Don't be afraid to find yours!"

Using this month;'s Tic Tac Toe Challenge as inspiration,
Sherri created the super cute layout below...
"Puppy Love"
Sherrie:

"Happy 2017 everyone! This month, we have a Tic Tac Toe Stash Challenge, for your creative pleasure! Just pick any 3 blocks in a row, across, up and down, or diagonally, and use those items from your "stash" in your layout! This was lots of FUN, and I hope you join us and show us your creativity this month too!
I selected Paint/Mist, 5+ Patterned Papers and Twine, from the 3 left vertical blocks!

In the photo are our 2 Portuguese Waterdogs, Valentino on the left, and Maggie on the right - laying nose to nose! I used lots of "stuff" from BoBunny's "Happy Tails" collection. The base page has been in my "stash" forever - the paw prints are raised and have a little glitter.

Tino on the left is all black with a wavy coat. He is 2 years old. His "big sister" Maggie is black and white with a curly coat. She is 4 yrs old.
They love each other, although Maggie won’t always admit it, she still thinks Tino can be a typical pain in the tail little brother sometimes!
I hope you will play along with us this month at the Scrap Our Stash Blog!

Wishing you and your family a very Happy and Healthy 2017, filled with ONLY Good "Stuff!"

((HUGS)) ~ Sherri

Introducing Returning Designer Cassie Wiscarson

Hi there!
Thank you for stopping by to check out day three of our Design Team introductions.
We are thrilled to have this talented designer returning to our team for another term..
Welcome back,
Cassie Wiscarson
"I am a stay at home mother to my 9 year old daughter and have been scrapbooking for around 13 years. My favorite part about scrapbooking is being able to show my creative side by working with a wide variety of products. I have had the pleasure of working on a few design teams and I love being able to share ideas with the others on the teams and learn new techniques from other scrapbookers. I use my layouts to share the memories of my family and enjoy being able to tell our story with paper, pictures, embellishments and journaling. At the beginning this was just a hobby, but over the years it has become a passion that I am able to share with my daughter and loving husband. I take great pride in my work and love to share my style with fellow scrappers!"

Today's beautiful inspiration was created by Cassie
inspired by the
January Tic Tac Toe Challenge

"Good Times"
Cassie:
"It is the first new challenge for Scrap Our Stash in 2017 and this one is a Tic Tac Toe challenge. I combined two tic tac toes to create this page. I used Mist, 5+ patterned papers, Twine, Paper Clip, and The Color Blue. When I go to start this type of challenge I first eliminate any blocks that I know I won’t use, in this case “winter theme” since I knew I didn’t have any printed winter pictures. I then grabbed my photo and started looking for paper and I ended up using blue, so I decided to do the bottom row. By the time I added some mist I noticed that I already had 5 patterned papers on my page for the two tic tac toes. I can’t wait to see how this challenge will inspire you!"

Here's a look at the challenge that inspired Cassie's incredible layout:
If you would like to play along for a chance at winning this month's prize,

Introducing Returning Designer Natsuko Suzuki

Hello and welcome to our second day of Design Team introductions.
We are excited to have another awesome talented designer return to our team.
Welcome back...
Natsuko Suzuki
"Hi everyone, I'm Natsuko from Japan. I've been scrapping for 7 years now, and I'm still deeply in love:) Most of my layouts include my loved ones especially my daughter who is now in 5th grade. Scrapbooking not only makes me happy but it's also very therapeutic. That's why I join workshops and events especially for moms. I love looking at other people's layouts too, by reading their blog or imagining what kind of story is hidden there. I love both colorful and shabby chic style. I don't want to limit myself so I'm not hesitant to try new techniques or style. I love travelling, taking pictures and meeting new people from all over the world (especially scrappers !!) It's such an honour to be a member of this team and I'm so excited !! Thank you xxx"

And for today's inspiration, Natsuko has created the amazing layout below inspired by the

"Cuddly Bears"
Natusko:
"Happy New Year!!!
A brand new challenge for a brand new year ♡
I chose the middle row down, DIE CUT, WINTER THEME and PAPER CLIP.
I thought this collection from Crate Paper was perfect for this layout. I used white cardstock for the background and used a 12 inch bubble stencil and put light modeling paste and glitter on it. After drying it, I dabbed some paint. I love the texture and the shiny look (sorry it doesn't show much in the pictures). I machine stitched around the paper and decorated the edges with gold washi tape.
You can see more details in http://natsukoslittlecraftroom.blogspot.jp/
Thank you ♡"

It's day one of our new Design team introductions!
We are thrilled to have this talented designer returning to our team!
Stay tuned for another six months of her amazing creative work
Welcome back....
Steffanie Seiler
"Hi! My name is Steffanie. I live int he beautiful Pacific NW. My husband and I just celebrated 20 years of marriage---woo hoo! We have two boys---one who will be a high school senior this fall and the other will start 7th grade. I started scrapbooking when my oldest son was a baby. They are my primary scrapbook subjects in addition to a golden retriever, and a calico kitty. My favorite themes/subjects to scrap are outdoor activities and travel. I think I have a pretty good eye for color, balance and details. I like clean lines and don't really do messy (unless you count mist!). My favorite season is summer. I like coffee, chocolate, pizza and wine (among other things!). Besides scrapbooking, I also enjoy running and just being outdoors. I dream of being a better photographer. If only there were more hours in the day! I'm also a registered nurse. I work very part-time though, so that I can spend most days being home fulfilling my role as wife and mom...and have plenty of time for scrapbooking!"

Check out the incredible page Steffanie created inspired by the
January Tic Tac Toe Challenge:
"Make A Splash"
Steffanie:
"If you have been following Scrap Our Stash for the last year or more, you know that I seem to have an endless supply of Disney photos---LOL!! Well, here are a few more that I incorporated for our current Tic-Tac-Toe challenge. I went with the far left vertical row using mist, 5+ patterned papers and twine. I really like these challenges as they give you options but also get you to combine things that you might not have otherwise."

"Friends" LO by DT Aurelie

Hello Everyone!

Today we have this fabulous layout by Designer Aurelie to inspire you:
This is what Aurelie shared about her layout:
"A dear friend of mine went on a mission trip to an African country a few years back. One day, she was showing me some of the photos she brought back and I absolutely fell in love with this one. I asked her if I could scrap it for her. I know, no shame! But I swear, it was calling to me! When I first saw the provided sketch, I started looking through my photos to see if I could incorporate four photos onto one layout. But then, I saw this photo and one again, was immediately drawn to it. So, I decided to switch the sketch around a bit and layer the photo on top of four different patterned papers instead. And yes, this is my second SOS design using Fancy Pants' Good Fellows collection. I mean, the colors are just SO perfect for the photo, don't you think? I used pieces of both the 12X12 and 6X6 patterned papers, corrugated cardstock, a tag, ephemera bits and puffy design stickers from the collection. I also incorporated some Magic Mesh, Studio Calico wood veneer stars, Stampin' Up cardstock and vellum, The Paper Company vellum, Making Memories staples, Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze, and yes, of course, hand-stitching using a Bazzill Basics stitching template and some DMC floss. There's also a flair piece on there, but I can't remember for the life of me who manufactured that. Any ideas out there? Elle's Studio, maybe?   Oh! And my plus 3 items? Stars, flair and a tag."

Here's the challenge:
