"Happy Looks Good on You" LO by Brenda R.

We end this month with a wonderful layout from Brenda!  How cute is this layout?  Brenda did a fabulous job with the sunburst! Love the paper/color choice! Check it out:
Here's what Brenda said about her layout, "I loved working with this sketch. It was the perfect opportunity to use up some of my 6x6 stash. I added a thin layer of raw chipboard to the backside of each sunray to give the layout a little dimenson. From my stash of embellishments, I added the MME chipboard Happy and button pieces as well as Thickers chipboard alphas for my title work and the chipboard polaroid frame from Recollections!"

Check back with us later today to see who won Sept. top 3 and the random prize winner!!!

Lee-Anne said, "This layout is of my daughter's little niece Hanna. They call her Hanna Bee. For the layout I used a sunburst stencil and some modeling paste. After it was dry, I used a paint brush and sprayed some Primrose and Tinsel Heidi Swapp Color Shine Mists and "painted the sunrays as pictured. I embellished with some flair buttons, twine, flowers, doilies, stamps and sequins, added the title and the chipboard word #love. Thanks for looking and hope you will play along with us at Scrap Our Stash for this challenge. The deadline to link up is September 29 at 11:59 PM (PST)."

"Bed Bug" LO by DT Manda M.

FOR THE ABC ~ 123 BLOG HOP
CLICK HERE.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 Todays inspiration is from our DT Manda who did a fantastic job using her stash with this super cute layout:
Manda said, "I love a good sketch challenge, so this one was a lot of fun for me. I did have a dig round in my older stash too and used some bits and pieces I had forgotten about which always gives me a little *yay!* feeling  For the chipboard I used some Pink Paislee Luxe stars but they kind of faded into the background so I added some gold glitter stars on top to give them some pop.
This layout is about my Winston and how he likes to "help" when I try to make the bed, it's a huge game for him but it can be a bit tiresome which is why I used the title Bed Bug."
Tomorrow is the last day for the ABC ~ 123 Blog Hop so make sure you Hop along with us!!!
"They Call her Icebox" LO by DT Lindsey
What a great idea DT Lindsey had when she used a sunrise photo for her background!  Such a pretty photo.  Take a look:
This is what  Lindsey said about her layout, "Loved this sketch. Love some chipboard! Instead of using the sketch's background design, it reminded me of this photo (taken at the football fields), which is great, because I had this football two-pager planned anyway. The three pieces of chipboard I used were (1) used as is, (2) markered, (3) inked & misted. Like I said this is a two-pager, so stay tuned and come back for the blog hop! See more about this layout (and expect page two this weekend) on my blog:
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Join us tomorrow for our ABC ~ 123 Blog Hop starting tomorrow 6:00 am PST!!  Great inspiration and prizes!!  See you then!
"Explore The Shore" LO by DT Kerry B.
Happy Hump Day!!!
I am just loving this layout from DT Kerry! She did a really great job stitching the sun rays to make her sunburst!! Take a look:
Kerry said, "After looking through my stash of papers I realised that I didn't own any with a sunburst print (how did that happen?). So I decided that instead of masking/misting (which was my 1st thought) I should stitch the design on my page. To my delight I found some embroidery silk that had different colours running through it like an ombre effect that totally matched my papers!
Of course you may have noticed that my sunburst is the opposite way to the sketch but only because I was trying to create a sunshine effect, but I pretty much stuck to rest of the design.
My die-cut journaling circle is from My Little Shoebox and I added some cute stars and hearts that are Fancy Pants.
How are you getting on with finding sunburst paper in your stash? Because if like me you don't have any, there are many ways of reproducing your own, misting, stitching, paper piecing, doodling............ come on, let your creativity shine!! We would love to see it so join us in this sun inspired challenge. xx"
Did you mark your calendar for Friday, Sept 27th -29th for Scrap Our Stash ABC ~ 123 blog hop?  If not, do it now! :)
"The Sun Shines with You" LO by DT Kelly H.
Another fabulous layout from DT Kelly.  Kelly's take on the challenge is fantastic! She did a great job using jute to create her sunburst and she dug into her stash and use a few chipboard pieces.  Take a look:
Kelly said this about her layout, " I just loved this sketch and couldn't wait to use my stash of chipboard too. The chipboard flower, title and journal piece are from We R Memory Keepers Good Day Sunshine collection and the bird chipboard is from Scenic Route. The two hearts are chipboard from Simple Stories I heart Summer. All of the papers are from my stash and I used red jute for the sun rays. I can't wait to see all the fun layouts using this awesome sketch! :) "
"Oh Yeah!" LO By DT Robin R.
It is truly amazing how many ways you can create a sunburst.  Today Robin is sharing with us how she  created her sunburst - with her Cameo Silhouette! How fun and awesome is that! Great job on the  challenge and using up your stash!
Here is what Robin said about her layout, " I just love these challenges here at Scrap Our Stash! It’s forcing me to scrapbook pictures I haven’t taken the time to scrap before. Here are my girlfriends, Genevieve and Jessica, and I, out on the town.
I probably wouldn’t have used these chipboard pieces, either, without this challenge. I would have kept on hoarding them…and we all know where that leads us. To know where! So, scrap your stash!
I’m a huge scrap hoarder as well. All patterned paper used here came from my scrap stash. The chipboard pieces are Basic Grey, Vellum is Close To My Heart, Die-cut piece is cut from my Cameo Silhouette."
Enjoy the rest of your Monday and see you tomorrow with more inspiration! :)
"Keep This" LO by DT Jenni C.
Jenni did a wonderful job on the challenge!   Her interpretation of the sketch is fanastic and so is the way she used her chipboard letters!  take a look:
This is what Jenni said about her layout, "For this challenge I went through all my old chipboard letters as well as some wood veneers, Thickers, anything with an "S." I laid them out as the center part of the sunburst pattern and misted them in an ombre variation from green to turquoise. I then cut some strips of a patterned ombre paper from Heidi Swapp and layered more chipboard clouds and my photos on top. I thought of the sunburst rays coming out of the camera die-cut!
I loved this sketch and enjoyed using up some of the massive amounts of chipboard I have held onto for so long. I can't wait to see what everyone does with this sketch and challenge too!"
"Little Miss Sunshine" by Dt Joefil C.
There are so many ways do design a sunburst on your layout and Joefil shows us a very creative and fantastic way by using mists. I love how it turned out:
Here's with Joefil said about her layout: "I love this photo of my daughter when she was a baby.
I love how this layout came out, even though i don't have a sunburst paper, which give me an idea to be creative. So, I used washi tape for masking to create a sunburst background, then i sprayed the page using heidi swapp color shine primerose and mint green. And the papers that i used is from echo park and my mind's eye that its been in my stash. And also added some prima chipboards ticket, bird and the flower behind the pink one. And those clouds on top is from my little shoe box paper that i fussy cuts."
"Happy Gurlz" LO by DT Patrica B.
Patricia shares with us this beautiful fun layout showcasing a variety of different chipboard she pulled from her stash:
Patricia said this about her layout, "This photo was captured on a Girls Getaway cruise to Ensenada, Mexico. Boy did we have the time of our lives!
I dug into my many bins of items and found a few chipboard pieces that I have had forever and a day. I used the little oval shaped piece of chipboard and sprayed paint over it to give it a little shimmer. I also used some of Heidi Swapps' chipboard words, alphas, some fun twine, washi tape and a few other odds & ends I found!  This layout made me relive the fun all over again!"
Make sure you come back tomorrow for more inspiration!
Check it out:
Here's what Elizabeth said: "love the colors on this layout a lot! It says summer to me and I wanted to scrap the photos of Alyssa & I building sand castles together, it was a fun time for us both! I have bits and pieces of chipboard that I have been saving in my stash and decided to use it on this layout in my title work framing!"
"These Little Moments are Truly Remarkable" by DT Dulcinea
Do you have some Vellum around your scraproom that needs to be used? Check out this gorgeous  layout by DT Dulcinea with a romantic sunburst made from vellum!!!
this is what Dulcinea said about her layout: "I love sunburst! Usually reminds me fun and summer, but I like so much than I kept finding different ways to use it. For this layout I want a romantic dreamy look to match with the picture of my husband and I look ahead of us in Rio de Janeiro. Next month we are moving back to Brazil where I was born - I live right now in Portugal - so I think this picture is perfect to represent these feelings around us. For my layout, I use this cloud paper from Maggie Holmes collection and vellum for a more subtle and also romantic sunburst. I use the chipboard from the same collection around the picture. I kept really similar to the sketch and really simple. I hope you enjoy my today's project and this great challenge."
Check out the sketch HERE
Come back tomorrow to see what DT Elizabeth brings us! :)
"Best Buds" by DT Carol
Today's inspiration comes from our DT Carol.  She did a wonderful job picking the right papers for this sketch!
Check out what Carol said about her layout:  "This layout was made to celebrate the friendship between my boys. I always dreamed about this and now my dream came true. They love each other very, very much and love to play together, shower together, watch TV together...
The sketch is beautiful and helped me a lot! I used a stamp from Allison Kreft designs and Zing! Embossing powder to make the banners on the sides of the frame. And I also used Zing! Embossing powder on the chipboard cloud on the top of the page! I hope you all enjoy it!"
Here's our September Guest Designer:
Megan Laine
And her beautiful interpretation of the sketch:
Here's what Megan said about her layout:
When I saw the sketch with three photos, I knew I wanted to use these pictures I took of my son, Max. I love how the sketch works so well showing the stages of him throwing the ball. I cut the starburst background with my silhouette and really love how it turned out. The chipboard pieces I used are just miscellaneous pieces from my stash. Once I have used a lot of an embellishment pack, I store them by type, so I just went to by chipboard bin and found what worked!
Now it's your turn! :) Remember to come back for daily inspiration based on this challenge!
Happy Scrapping!
