"Love My Sons" Layout by Designer Sherri Caramico

Hello!

Today we are showcasing the beautiful layout Designer Sherri Caramico created

inspired by the 

June Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

Sherri:

"This is a photo of my sons and me, at a family party. My guys always make me smile! 

For the challenge, I used the items from the Top Row of the board -

 the COLOR RED, BUTTONS, and RIBBON.

I decided to try something new on this layout and I used light modeling paste and a stencil to create the design on the right hand side of the page. I then dabbed a baby wipe in Evergreen Bough Distress Stain and tapped it on top of the wet modeling paste to create the 2 tone look you see. I LOVE how it came out - and will have to try it again on other layouts!

Hello June!!

This is one of my favorite photos from my trip to England a couple of summers ago. I absolutely fell in love with these phone booths! I found these lined up along a street in Cambridge which happened to be our first day trip after arriving in country.

For the Tic-Tac-Toe challenge, I chose the far left vertical column---

the color red, a camera and wood (arrow). 

I really love how this came together. 

The challenge really helped me to pull in a few fun elements to make it complete!

"I don’t know what it is about pictures of my kiddos reading, but they’ve been the inspiration for a number of my pages this month.  I love that I caught my littlest in his underpants and with his book upside down in the photo featured here.  It’s such an accurate depiction of everyday life in my household.  I used a happy mix of old Citrus Twist Kit goodies to bring it to life and couldn’t resist getting a little messy with my watercolors.
