Stash A Thon Challenge #8 ~ Icing

Don't we all just love icing on our birthday cake! I know I do… extra, too!! :) 

The 8th birthday challenge is to create a new layout, any theme, using gesso/textured paste to represent "icing".

Rules - 

• Your layout must be new as of March 17th and cannot be combined with any other SOS Stash A Thon challenge.  You are allowed to combine with any non SOS challenges. 
• All entries must be linked up on the side bar no later than April 5th, 11:59 PM (PST) to be considered for the grand prize drawings.   For chances to win weekly prizes, link up your entries as soon as they are completed.

"I have always loved this picture of my son-it was his first fauxhawk in first grade but I see that I cut it off in the picture! My "ICING" is modeling paste...added it in for a background texture using a stencil. I also dabbed it in strategic places here and there for more visual interest"

So for your 7th challenge you are to create a new layout, any theme, using enamel dots or sequin to represent "confetti".

Confetti - I used sequins and a "confetti background paper"

March is such a special month... Not only it is SOS birthday but my own as well! So, it is no need to say I had lots of fun with this challenge (CONFETTI)! I used a confetti background paper and used colored sequins here and there to give it some sparkle. 
So now I wanna see what you will create. Sequins, enamel dots, paper confetti... Use them all! Let's celebrate!

"Happy Birthday Scrap Our Stash! 

"I’m so happy to be part of the first birthday! For this challenge I chose “sprinkles” and I had the chance to use mist. I used my Silhouette for creating my personal stencil to make a grid on my background. I used this Maggie Holmes paper which matched well with the colors in my sister's picture.  The paper also has the mist effect. For completing, I just embellished my grid with some nice colors. 

It’s so simple, but I love it so much!

"My Stash A Thon Challenge is the Present challenge which is to use a bow or bows on a layout. I decided to scrap these pictures of my friend, Heidi's little girl, Scarlett, from her 2nd birthday party. A lot of the supplies used are from Studio Calico's Sugar Rush kit. To complete the challenge, I added a bow from Studio Calico's Printshop line. I also colored the little girl image, Cupcake Anya, from the Greeting Farm with Copic markers to match the layout."

"Home Is Where Your Heart Is..."

Here is what Jenni shared about her layout:

"Happy Birthday Scrap Our Stash! What a fun year and this one looks to be shaping up nicely too...You guys deserve a celebration! 

My contribution to the celebration is to provide the sparkle & glittery bling from CANDLES! I would love to say this was challenging to me or my stash, but there is SO much gold and glitter in my craft room, even Tinkerbelle would be jealous! I used gold embossing past to add some stars to this lovely cloud paper. I also cut my title on the Silhouette from gold Pow! paper and used red Stickles for the heart. I had a couple pieces of gold glitter chipboard from Crate Paper and MME that I layered under my photo. I misted this sweet hot air balloon in gold Color Shine and finally sprinkled around some red and gold sequins and glitter dots!!

I am sure I could have gotten some more in there somewhere! I can't wait to see everyone's pages for this challenge and all of them!!"

"You might be saying that the chalkboard look has been over-done, but I still LOVE it, so much! My challenge for the Scrap-A-Stash challenge was to use a doily. I had just bought a bunch for some holiday crafting so I have plenty in my stash, that’s for sure! Most product in this layout is from We R Memory Keepers. My title is cut from my Silhouette, which I don’t use often enough.

This picture was taken on Valentine’s Day. I had, VERY LAST MINUTE, decided to join Manuel on a quick road trip to Las Vegas to watch his daughter get married. The weather was perfect for driving with the top down."

"Happy Birthday SOS! My name is Denise Luscan. I live in Florida with my Husband and our

5yr old son. I was introduced to Scrapbooking when a friend at work shared her new hobby

with me about a year after my son was born. I was immediately hooked! I have always been

into crafts but with a new baby and tons of photos, Scrapbooking soon became my favorite.

I just started my blog in September and have been enjoying being a part of the lovely Scrapping

community and playing along with all of these fun challenges. My style is pretty much CAS but I

am hoping to try new things and get a little messy this year:).

"I wanted this layout to be fun, colorful and definitely convey BIRTHDAY so I

had to incorporate balloons! I thought of a Page Drafts sketch that was the

perfect inspiration for my LO (see my blog for link). The pictures are from

my little cousins 2nd b-day and I used mostly AC Hip Hip Hooray paper."
