A lot has been going on here at Scrap Our Stash this summer. In July we had our first ever - Blog Hop! It had a Christmas in July Theme and was a lot of fun. We are still waiting for our Grand Prize Winner Amie Ricker to contact us at scrappinpsycho@live.com. So Amie if your out there please send an email with your mailing address.
Unfortunately, our DT member and Sketch designer Robin, has decided to step down from the Design Team. We will miss her, but hope at some point she will be able to return to the team. Hopefully, she will still send us her version of the monthly challenge occasionally.
We have also added 2 Guest Design Team Members to our Design Team. So, Ren Yi and Christy S. are both now full GDT members. They have both made some great contributions to the blog already, and I'm sure they will continue to be an inspiration to all of us. Welcome ladies!
Starting August 15th - we will have a new challenge here at SOS. It will be called Pagerize This. You will be encouraged to plagerize (lift, steal... whatever you want to call it) a layout. The challenge will end on the 14th and a winner will be chosen. The winner will then post their layout to be Pagerized. Watch for further details.
Make sure you check back in on a daily basis if possible, things change here daily. The best way to assure you don't miss anything is to sign up as a Follower. Also, how about getting involved in one or more of our challenges. All submissions are posted, and your submission makes you eligible to become a Guest Design Team Member. Check out all the details in August Challenge below. Also, don't miss our Frugal Friday Tips - these are posted every Friday, and give tips on how to stretch your stash. If you actually use one of our FF tips - we'd love if you would share them with us so we can post them here. Also, if you have a frugal tip you'd like to share - please submit it to scrappinpsycho@live.com . You could be featured as our next Frugal Friday Tip!
Later,
Kathy

Catch Up Sunday
This post is to help you catch up on what's happend this week at Scrap Our Stash.
The May Challenge is to "get out of your box". We've had several interesting takes on the challenge. Monica used patterned paper from several different manufacturers for her layout. Joni, who doesn't do cards - did a cool easel card. Brittney who usually uses solid cardstock for her background used patterned paper, and Megan used purple for her layout, which is very unusual for her. What box are you in? Check out May Challenge for all the details on the challenge.
Our Frugal Friday Tip for this week was DIY popdots by Rachel. What an interesting concept to pop-up elements on your page, with scraps of cardstock.
We have 2 contests going on. The Follow Me Contest. Just become a follower of Scrap Our Stash and/or leave some comments. Each comment gives you a chance to win our Prize Package from our Sponsor "A Little Bit of This and That". We'd love to have you follow.
The Spring Cleaning Challenge entries have all been re-posted together - scroll down to Spring Cleaning Challenge to see all the entries. Please vote for your favorite. Winner will receive the Stampin' Up prize packet donated by Design Team Member Kimmarie.
Stay tuned this week for more "out of your box" projects posted by Design Team Members, Guest Design Team Members, and readers. Submit your project to be posted here.
On May 15th, I will post the May Sketch Challenge. A sketch designed by Design Team Robin, exclusively for Scrap Our Stash. Come join the challenge.
Have a great week!

Catch-Up Sunday
Wow here it is May already. Here at Scrap Our Stash we finished out the month with lots of activity. Four Design Team Members shared their April Lift Challenge. Joni and Kathy shared layouts which they Lifted, Kimmarie shared a tin that she lifted, and Robin shared a layout she did using a sketch. So, there were lots of additional projects for you to use as inspiration.
Our Frugal Friday Tip was from Wendy, and gave a tip on how to get just the right color of paper to use . What a great idea when you don't have the option of going shopping for that perfect paper! This is a great way to use your stash also. We are always looking for frugal tips - send yours to scrappinpsycho@live.com and you could be featured on SOS in the near future.
Former Design Team Member Megan, submitted her After pictures for the Spring Cleaning Challenge. This was a fun challenge that gave some of us just the encouragement we needed to get our scrap area back in shape. Voting for the prize will begin soon. Watch for further details.
On Thursday you were introduced to our May Guest Design Team Member - Brittney. Be sure to check out her bio and the layout she shared. Were looking forward to sharing lots more of Brittney's projects with you during the month of May.
Christine was our winner of the April Challenge. Her project was a lift of a layout by her talented sister :). Christine will be our Guest Design Team Member in June.
Our May "Get out of your Box" Challenge was announced on Saturday. I think this will be a fun challenge to participate in, and am anxious to see what "box" you will be getting out of, and the results. Design Team Member, Guest Design Team Members and Readers' samples will be posted thoughout the month for inspiration. Be sure to check back regularly. A winner will be chosen from all reader submissions, and given the opportunity to be a Guest Design Team Member for the month of July. It could be YOU!
BIG NEWS:
We now have our first Sponsor. A Little Bit of This and That. Check out the description of the prize offered this month. It is in the sidebar with a link. Stay tuned to SOS - details of the contest will be announced soon.
Our April Guest Design Team Members, Laurie, Mardi, Rachel and Stephanie have all been asked to stay on as Guest Design Team Members. So we will all be able to continue to enjoy their talent for the next 3 months.
Scrap Our Stash Sketch Challenge - will start May 15th. Guest Design Team Member Robin, has agreed to create a exclusive sketch for Scrap Our Stash each month. Our first sketch will be posted on the 15th of May. Readers are encouraged to use the sketch and submit their version by June 15th. A winner will be chosen, and given the opportunity to serve on the Guest Design Team for the month of July.
Have a great first week of May!

Catch-Up Sunday!
We've had a great week here at Scrap Our Stash.
Looks like this week's contributors were all scraplifters! On Monday we posted reader Christine's scrap lift of Kathy's Biker Babes and then on Wednesday we posted Guest Design Team member Laurie's lift of Danille's BFF layout. Then on Saturnday we posted Guest Design Team Member Amy's lift from Elizabeth Kartchner's book 52 More Scrapbooking Challenges.
Once again it was interesting to see the similarities and differences in each scrapper's interpretation.
On Tuesday and Thursday After pictures were posted of Design Team Wendy and Kathy's scraprooms. Quite an improvement over the original Before pictures. Both rooms are ready for many hours of creative scrapping!
Our $$Frugal Friday Tip$$ this week was actually recruited from a message board post on Two Peas in a Bucket. Pinky was generous enough to send a great idea of how to create faux stitching on your layouts. No more dragging the sewing machine out - or trying to thread a needle! If you actually use a Frugal Friday Tip to complete a project, we'd love if you would share your project with us. Also, if you have a frugal tip you'd like to share, please email the tip along with pictures to scrappinpsycho@live.com.
Our April Challenge to either scraplift someone else's project or use a sketch for inspiration continues until the 30th. This has been a fun challenge for the DT members, we'd love it if you would submit your project for posting. Check out the April Challenge post and see how you can be eligible to become a Guest Design Team Member.
There are still a few Spring Cleaning Challenges that have not submitted their After pictures. Hopefully, we will be able to share them soon. If you would still like to take part in this challenge just check out the details in the Spring Cleaning Challenge post below.
Things have been rather slow as far as hits and new followers this week. Hopefully, things will pick up soon. If you have not become a follower - please consider signing up. We'd love to have you follow us, and this will help prevent you from missing anything new on the blog.
Thanks for stopping by - please come back daily to see what's new.
Have a great week!

Catch Up Sunday
Here it is Sunday again, man how time flies. I hope you've done more scrapping this week than I have. It wouldn't take much to do more - just more than 1 page....
Our April Challenge continues... The Challenge is to either scraplift a layout ( this is the nice term for copy) or use a Sketch for inspiration. Both are my favorite ways to at least start a page. I really thought we'd have more takers on this challenge.
All you have to do is complete a project by either lifting someone else's work, or by starting with a sketch. In either case - this is just a starting point. In some cases you may want to make it almost exactly like the inspirational piece - this is pretty much what Stephanie did on her Best Friends layout - or just use it as a starting point like Joni did on her layout Lights up. Either way is perfectly right - remember there is No wrong way to scrap.
Sketches are done the same way - either as close to the original sketch as possible - or totally different. Both Monica and Marti followed their inspirational sketches pretty closely. This is not required - there have been times when I've looked at someone's completed layout and their inspirational sketch - and had a hard time seeing them as anything alike. Sometimes it's just a matter of how you lay out the pictures or where you put the title. Once again - there is no wrong way!
All this to say - we'd really love for you to accept the challenge. Each submission is posted to the blog for all to see, and you could be chosen to become a Guest Design Member here at Scrap Our Stash! What've ya got to loose?
Try it you'll like it! I double dare ya!
The Spring Cleaning Challenge continues. Check out those super neat rooms of Laurie and Christy. Both did a great job of finding a place for everything.
It's not too late for you to join in the challenge. Just send a before picture, (go take it right now), and then take the challenge to get your scrap space "clean". This is not limited to just scrap spaces either. How about that tote that you keep threatening to re-organize or maybe it's just your ribbon. Whatever this challenge means to you - we'd love to share in it with you. This may be just the motivation you need to do what you know needs to be done!
Looking forward to receiving your pictures. Just check out the April Challenge or the Spring Cleaning Challenge below for all the details.
Have a great week - and check in regularly. There will be something new everyday!

Catch-Up Sunday
Our new feature will be Catch-Up Sunday. This will be an overview of what's happened in the last week at Scrap Our Stash - and a preview of what will be coming this week.
We are now starting our 5th month of Scrap Our Stash. Our Design Team has experienced some changes. Original team members Megan and Danielle have chose to "retire" from the Design Team - at least for now. We're hoping they will both be back at a later date. Amy, who was forced to take a break due to her computer, is back!!!! Monica became a Design Team member in February, and March Guest Design Team members Tere & Wendy have also become Guest Design Team members. We are fortunate to have 4 Guest Design Team members for April - Laurie, Rachel, Mardi & Stephanie. We're very excited to see what they will be contributing to our April Challenge.
The April Challenge is to either Lift a project from someone else or use a Sketch for inspiration. So far we've seen Marti's take of a Page Maps sketch. A new project will be posted everyday, so make sure you come back often. We'd love if you would take the challenge. Just follow the instructions in April Challenge.
Our Spring Cleaning Challenge is continuing. So far we've posted Kimmarie, Christine and Stephanie's Before and After pictures. There are still several After pictures to post. It's not too late to join in this challenge. We will continue until every scraproom in the world is . . . okay, well maybe not that long. We don't want anyone to miss the chance to join in though. So, if you haven't already sent your Before pictures - get them in and then get busy! Also, you won't want to miss the other After pictures that will be posted throughout the month.
Don't forget our $$Frugal Friday Tip$$. These are frugal tips that fellow scrappers or Design Team members contribute - to help you save $ or to help you scrap your stash. If you've missed any of the tips - be sure to click on the label Frugal Friday Tips - and catch up on what you've missed. Also, if you have completed a project using one of the Frugal Friday Tips - we'd love to post it, or if you have a tip you'd like to share we'd love for you to share it with our readers. Just email your tip or project to scrappinpsycho@live.com with a brief description.
Okay, enough catching up for now. Hope you all find this a fun place to visit and that you come back often. We'd love to know you were here - please post a comment or "follow" us. If at any time you have any suggestions or concerns, please feel free to email me at scrappinpsycho@live.com.
Scrappy Spring!
