Sketch Challenge #29 ~ Guest Sketch Artist Audrey Yeager

Happy Saturday everyone!
Today we are revealing our August Sketch Challenge!
Bur first, we would like to introduce our
August Sketch Artist
Audrey Yeager
"I am a thirty something stay-at-home mom to my kindergartener and pre-schooler. I started scrapbooking around 2005, although I have been "crafty" my entire life, dabbling in different crafts here and there. In 2007 I discovered the online world of scrapbooking, which totally changed the way I scrapbook. Since then, I've been on several teams for kit clubs, manufacturers, and challenge blogs. In January of 2014, I took over ownership of an online retail scrapbook store called
I have an entire store in my basement, and it allows me the best of both worlds to work part time from home in the store and spend time with my kids, too!
(Not to mention I get to scrap with ALL THE THINGS!)

I love to scrap about our everyday moments and try to record all those little things that are said and done. I'm also so glad that we live in a place like upstate NY where we experience every season because I love being able to change up my products and inspiration from one season to the next!

I love how scrapbooking can remove me from anything else I may have on my mind, and just take me to a place where all I think about are colors, patterns, and the memories behind this photo. I also love the social part of it, too, in going to crops and retreats, and the online support and camaraderie!

In addition to scrapbooking, I love to quilt and sew, garden, play volleyball, and watch movies and sci-fi TV series!

Sketch Challenge #28 with Guest Sketch Artist Emma Stafrace

Hello Crafters!

Today we are revealing our July Sketch Challenge as well as introducing our

July Guest Sketch Artist
Emma Stafrace
"My name is Emma. I live on the East coast of Australia in sunny Queensland with my husband and son. My husband has a fly in fly out job and now that my son goes to Kindy I am finding I have way too much time on my hands so decided to start  a small freelance graphic design business called The Nifty Pixel . I occasionally do customized blogs and logo designs but mostly create digital scrapbook kits and also offer lots of great sketches called Page Drafts. Page Drafts were originally an entity on their own but now come under the umbrella of my main brand 'The Nifty Pixel'.

I scrapbook using many mediums, my main being digital however I am a sucker for playing with scissors so every now and then I'll create a hybrid version of a digital page that I absolutely love. This is a fun process utilizing the digital products by printing them and then trying to emulate the textures and overall design in a traditional way. Using chipboard elements, patterned papers and other fun scrapbook products like distress inks & mists still get my heart pumping he he.

If you are looking for some fun sketches to freely use in projects head over to Scrapstacks or alternatively to Pinterest  and check out my collections. To see more of my scrapbook projects pop over and say hello at my personal blog Just A Girl With Ideas  I'd absolutely love to meet you.."

"Hi, my name is Ashley Horton and I am currently a WAHM. I have been married to my husband Tyler for 16 years and we have three children, Madison, Emma and Reese. We made the decision for me to stay home with the kids 7 years ago, and I have been home schooling them for the past 5 years. So it's usually always busy around our house! But I don't let that stop me from finding time to play with paper, at some point during the day! I started scrapbooking in 2006 and love it even more, than when I first began. I love to document the everyday moments, and most of my photos focus on our children. Some of my favorite go to products are patterned paper, wood veneers, Thickers, spray mist, die cuts and my Silhouette Cameo! I am currently designing for American Crafts, Simple Stories, Hip Kit Club, Illustrated Faith and A Flair for Buttons. I also have an Etsy Shop, called The Cut Shoppe, where I sell fun, modern cut files that can be used with electronic die cut machines. "This Is So The Happy Place" Layout by DT Lynn

Hello Everyone!
Today's fabulous inspiration is the creative work of DT Lynn, inspired by our
April Sketch Challenge:
Lynn:
Hello SOS fans!
'The first thing that caught my eye with the inspiration photo was the bright pink and ombre. I used watercolor paint to create an ombre effect on my background.
I was also inspired by the clouds in the photo which I added in the top strip and the banner strip behind my photo. I rotated the sketch so the cloud banner would be at the top of my page.
I loved the colored polka dots in the inspiration photo and found some an old 6x6 paper pad from Echo Park which matched perfectly!
I pulled the black and beige striped pattern from the clouds in the photo and tucked strips under my photo.
I used the quote in the photo as my title and was inspired to use gold and multi colored letters.

The last bit of snow just melted in my corner of the world. It sure was a long winter, but I couldn't help but create one last "wintery layout" using fun bright colors!

Can't wait to see what you create!'

"So Colorful" Layout by DT Tanti

I hope you are all enjoying your weekend!
Today's Design Team inspiration is the beautiful work of DT Tanti inspired by our
Tanti:
"The moodboard inspired me to scrap this photos that I took during our vacation in Spain last year.
There were tons of lampions hanging, along the street in the city of Ronda. I love it very much, since I LOVE all colourful things. I was also inspired by the colours of the moodboard.
I used the pink ombre designed paper from Dear Lizzy for my background, relating to the pink ombre pillow.
The colourful dots inspired me to use sequins and to make those mini lampions out of origami papers.
I found that the striped cloud in the moodboard so cute that I also had to add it on to my page.
I had to turn the sketch one time to the right so it could fit better to my Photos.
This fabulous sketch from Laura Whitaker is so perfect for my pictures.
Now it's your turn. Can't wait to see what you create."
