Let's Eat by Christy is our 3rd Page to be "pagerized" in our "Pagerizie This" Challenge.
Each month on the 15th we will post a new layout for you to "pagerize" (plagerize, copy, lift, steal) whatever term you want to use. The idea will be - to use the posted layout as your inspiration to create your own layout. You can "pagerize" as much or as little of the original layout as you choose. You may want to make a layout just like the one posted - or you may just want to use something about the layout as your inspiration. It's totally up to you.As winner of the Pagerize This Challenge #2 - Christy is our new Pagerizer! This is what she said:
Once you've completed your layout - email a picture and brief description to scrappinpsycho@live.com. All entries will be posted here at Scrap Our Stash. The challenge runs through midnight central time on November 12th. The "Pagerizer" (in this case Christy), will then choose a winner from all the entries. The winner will be announced on November 14th. Then the winner will be asked to submit a layout for us to "Pagerize" starting on the 15th of November. Then on the 12th of December - the winner will be chosen by the winner of the "Pagerize This Challenge #3" and on and on it goes.
So your challenge - if you choose to accept it - is to use Christy's layout as your inspiration.
Winner Christy said:
"WOW...I was so honored to be chosen. I love doing challenges like the Pagerize This Challenge. They allow me to learn new things and to stretch myself from my comfort zone. I really enjoyed using paint on the last challenge. As for this challenge, since it's getting close to Thanksgiving, I thought I would share a recent page I made of last year's dinner.
I used recollections Autumn stack and my EK success punch for the leaves. I actually used both sides of the paper. I cut a circle in the middle and flipped it( yes the blue is the back of the paper), then used the cardstock border and handstitching to hide the cut. I used glossy accents on parts of the die cuts and leaves to make them pop. The border in the center is actually a faux pleated ribbon. I cut the cardstock border into sections and then glued them down of a cardstock strip to make them look pleated.
I am looking forward to seeing what will inspire you...be it the color, the layout, or the theme."
This challenge is in addition to the regular monthly challenge and is open to anyone.

Pagerize Christy by Missy
Guest Design Team Member Missy submitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge. She said, "My boys are crazy about these Silly Bandz! I spent all summer looking for these silly little things. They all had different ones that they were looking for! I don't really understand why they are so crazy about these little (and expensive!!) things. Now those gelly bracelets I had forver ago, I can understand that!!
I loved the big circle and the punched borders on Christy's layout. I turned her layout to the side and moved the circle to the edge to give me a little more white space on my layout. The border strip is made using my EK Success emboss/punch combo. I used a bunch of little trims and scraps to embellish the side. The card with the question mark on it, I have had forever! So I was glad to be able to use that! I attached the Silly Bandz with Glossy Accents. I love the way this one turned out. I am glad to be able to scrap these pictures. So when this fad is over, we will remember what all the fuss was about!

Pagerize Christy By Dawn

Reader Dawn submitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge. She said, "a friend recently directed me to your blog and I thought "what a great idea!" I was immediately drawn to Christy's Let's Eat LO; the design, the colors, everything was so cool! So, I really stayed true to it when I pagerized it!
My son is 5 years old and loves, loves, loves anything creepy and crawly. He has told everyone that he is going to be an entomologist when he grows up (he knows the word and how to say it correctly!). He has a special affinity for snails and the little darlings just love to crawl on him. One morning after seeing his big sister onto the bus, he found this HUGE snail. It stayed in its shell for only a couple of seconds and then started crawling all over his hand (note the slime trail in the bottom picture! Ew!). He insisted on bringing his new friend home to put in our garden.
Supplies:
Brown cardstock: Bazzill Basics Mud Pie
All patterned paper: Basic Grey Archaic Line (big circle ring was cut with the Martha Stewart circle cutter)
Snail Die cut: Silhouette
Rub ons: Basic Grey Archaic Line
Rub on letters: Making Memories
Stitching template: Bazzill
Embroidery floss: DMC
Flower chipboard accents: unknown
Round and stone chipboard accents: Basic Grey Archaic Line
Title chipboard accent: Jen Wilson Laundry Line Coastal Lucky
Thanks so much for this opportunity to play and for the inspiration! I will become a frequent visitor to your blog!
Take care,
Dawn Coelin (bonkdawn on Blogger)

Pagerize Christy by Stacy H-W
Design Team Member Stacy submitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge. She said, "Here is my version of Christy's "Let's Eat" Pagerize This challenge.
I really loved her layout and was immediately drawn to want to "steal" it!! Almost all of it!! ha
I used pictures from my DS' Harvest Festival. The Harvest Festival is like a carnival the school uses to help raise money for the school.
He had just visited the hair painting booth had his hair painted in fun stripes of red and blue. He was so excited.
I had just gotten a "boy" kit in the mail of Doodlebug goodies in these colors.
99% of the stuff is from Doodlebug. Ladybug la-di-dot, Sew American Stripe, Boys Only, and 1999 Skulls card stock.

I used Doodlebug Stitched Grosgrain ribbon in Ladybug.
A Doodlebug Chunky Brad in black.
I also used some Crystal Stickles and a couple of self stick gems in crystal from Darice.
I think it turned out super fun and he loves it! (isn't that what matters??!) ha

Pagerize Christy by Amy
Design Team Member Amy submitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge. She said, "for this challenge, i really loved how Christy used circle elements in her page. I definitely wanted to carry this over to my page. I started by cutting my four pictures down to 4x4 size and rounding the corners. Next, i glued them down and placed my painted chipboard circle over them. The paper was "too white" for me, so i lightly misted it in a peach color. Although, most people think PINK when they think Flamingos, the Flamingos in my photos were more peachy, so i chose to stay close to that color. I love how this page turned out! Thanks Christy for the challenge!

Pagerize Christy -- By Joni
Design Team Member Joni submitted this layout for the Pagerize This Challenge. She said, "Oh....did I love that circle design on Christy's pagerize layout. So, I pretty much stuck to the general design of her layout... I cut out the center of a die-cut circle and distressed it, tearing/crumpling/inking. I used ribbon and pleated it for the vertical piece...(I used glue dots & brown staples to get it to stick). A few journal spots for embellies (popped up) & a couple stick pins I had sitting around I didn't know what to do with (they worked perfectly here). Some misting and this photo of Joseph a few weeks ago wearing his "real" cowboy hat. YEA!! I'm really happy with how this turned out!
Thanks for the great inspiration!!!
