"Hi everyone! Welcome to my take on Scrap our Stash's Challenge #31. My photo was taken back in March of this year, and is one of my favorites. I used the following items from my stash to make my layout as follows:

I~ Inkssentials white linen ink

N~ newsprint stamp

K~Kraft paper

S~stitching, Snap pack - gold, and a star

I thoroughly enjoyed making my layout for this month's challenge and can't wait to see what each of you come up with using items from your stash!"

"Wine bottle replacing my nose and a play on the word wino. Get it? I thought I was so funny when I took this photo and thought of the photo caption. I couldn't wait to make this a scrapbook layout. As for the work INKS, I used ink, numbers, KI Memories (glitter dots), and staples."

"My older daughter loves playing games so she was really excited one snowy day to play monopoly with everyone even grandma and grandpa. She was even more excited because she won. Not sure why but the letters in INKS happened to be a real struggle for me to think of things to use on my layout.

"Before my focus turned to designing for teams, I used to enjoying creating layouts combining as many challenges as possible. I was looking forward to this Scraptober Fest Challenge and it came together quickly. I changed the sketch to use one photo instead of two, I regularly use washi tape, and the palette has some of my favorite colors. That made it even easier! Happy scrapping!"

Designer Cassie:

Sparkle with Beautiful Friendship 

"It was so fun and interesting to combine all four of the Scraptober Fest challenges on a single layout. I changed up the sketch by just using a single 5x7 photo. I loved having the chance to scrapbook a page about my friendship with a fellow scrapper. The color combo was perfect for this photo of the two of us hanging out together while we scrapped. Luckily I use a lot of these colors, so I was able to dig into my scraps to pull this page together. I had no issue finding matching washi tape since I am quite the washi collector and I kept it to two because I had so many different patterns already."

Best Day Ever

"This was our 3rd to trip to Disneyworld and we were dancing because we were picked to be Miss Piggy's special Parade Ambassadors! The whole day was magical and we (along with my sister and bff) were the VIPs of the parade and we got to ride in Miss Piggy's luxury car throughout the whole park! It was a dream come true and truly unexpected!

Life is a Fabulous Adventure With You

"I decided to go with all 4 Challenges combined into one layout!! I used lots of Glimmer and Glitter and got a little messy too!  When I saw the color palette - I knew that I had to use the NEW Simple Stories "SO FANCY" Collection again - the colors are "SPOT ON!"

I had so much fun making this layout! - Almost as much "FUN" as my Hubby and I had when we went to a convention in Atlantic City, back in 2013. Let me just say - it was a night to remember (what we can remember of it that is!!) That's us in those photos, and what a "FABULOUS Adventure" it was!

"Hoops" LO by DT Cassie

Hello Everyone!!

Today, Designer Cassie is inspiring us with her awesome layout:

Here's what she said about her layout:

"It is time for another word challenge! I have been sitting on these basketball photos for a year now and figured it was finally time to scrap them. The colors threw me for a bit of a loop and I wasn’t sure how I was going to create a girly layout about a sport with masculine colors. Luckily, it seemed to come together. For the letters, I not only inked the edges of all of my paper (something I love to do), but I also used ink to stamp the little hearts all over the page. I included my daughter’s uniform number by her picture. I added a piece of kraft cardstock to balance out all of the bright colors and patterns. I then used various stickers across my page and of course that cute heart stamp.

I have had this Dog Kit from Me and My Big Ideas for YEARS and finally decided to use it!
This is a photo of my Boxer who was maybe about 1 at the time, went through her Obedience training.....and surprisingly graduated! It was a chore....she is a super hyper challenging pet! But we love her and she loves us....I think.

"Hi there scrappers. Rachelle here sharing my take for the stash challenge. I went with a mixed media background, chipboard, and metal elements. I applied microbeads and used my gold script washi tape. Really had fun with this design. I hope you have been inspired today.

"'INKS'- Such a little word - but not such a little challenge! I will admit that I did find the letters 'I' and 'N' a bit of a challenge - BUT I did find some yummy 'stuff' while searching through my 'STASH!' 

Here are the items that I used for the Challenge:

I- Ink (for edge distressing) and Graphic 45's Garden Isle paper from Tropical Travelogue

N- Net ( love this - I stapled it on!)

K - Key, Kaisercraft Sandy Toes Collection "Sea Shells"

S - Staples, Starfish, Stickers, Seashells

This is a photo from our 2012 Disney Wonder, Hawaiian Cruise. It was taken on the ship, just after we returned from an AMAZING excursion along the Breathtaking Na'Pali Coastline. It is a day we will never forget! I am really happy with how this layout came out. I LOVE the Bright Blue mats with the off white Starfish paper, and I couldn't resist combining some my Graphic 45 Tropical Travelogue Collection colors together with them. Since this was a Disney Cruise, I had to add a few Mickey's to the layout too! There are 3 of them - can you find them?

"This is another page for my photography album. I took it at Versailles in France during my holiday..

I created the background using watercolours and packaging technique.

"I had so much fun combining these four challenges! The color combination was a struggle at first simply because I have very little pink in my stash. As I was going through my one and only Project Life collection, I found this oversized journal card that had most of the colors I needed and gave me some solid inspiration. I added some stitching in kraft under the title and also some kraft washi tape to the top and bottom of the page. This completed the color requirement. I used 4 different washi tapes for the stash challenge. The photo is me, of course, for the include YOU challenge. For the sketch, I was originally looking for a 3x4 journal card but found this larger one that grabbed my attention. I decided to make it work anyway. As a result, things shifted around a bit from the original sketch but the basic idea is still there. I hope you like it as much as I do!"

"Hi scrappers! I enjoyed creating this Combined layout because I love Simple Stories collection "I AM." I layered the back of the center photo then applied my fave chipboard clock. Then applied small pearls. I added ink stamping, enamel dots, and sequins on the background. The washi tapes are the polka dots at the top and gold script along the bottom. . Now it's your turn to created your layout. Can't wait to see your design. Happy Scrapping!"

 "This is such a fun challenge. I enjoyed so much making my layout by combining those four challenges. First I pulled out some patterned papers that match the colour challenge from „My Scrap And More“. Then I chose one of my selfie pictures to complete the challenge from „Challenge Yourself“. It might hard to see for you but you can see my reflektion right in the middle of the picture. The next step, I just followed the main design of the sketch by „The Memory Nest“. Last but not least, I added two Washi Tapes to my page to complete the challenge by „Scrap Our Stash. You can see the detail of my layout on my blog: www.tantikcreation.blogspot.de"

October Stash Challenge #31 - INKS

Welcome to Stash Challenge #31!!!

Before we get started with our new challenge we would like to introduce the

October Guest Designer

Katrina Hunt

 "I live in Springfield, Missouri with a roomie and four Cardigan Welsh Corgis that are pretty much the subjects in my layouts a lot! If I am not scrapping, I am either at my full time job, watching TV, playing on the iPad or hanging on the computer! I swear, I should have been a tech geek! I started scrapping in 2009 and haven't looked back. The funniest part is, I used to laugh about people buying all the paper, stickers etc. Now, I am the one wondering when the latest and greatest is available. I have been on several design teams, including sketch teams and manufacturer teams. Currently I am on Therm O Web Adhesives, {a flair for buttons} Etsy shop, CREATE magazine, Maya Road and most recently joined the The Cut Shoppe design team. I love the challenge that a design team gives me and I actually scrap better with a challenge."
