One of the chevrons is made of book paper. It´s paper from a famous Swedish book for children.

"Year 11" Layout by DT Michelle Henderson

Hello !!!
Today we are showcasing a wonderful layout created by Designer Michelle
inspired by our
Michelle:
"Like so many of us I have loads of formal school photos waiting to be scrapped, so I was inspired by this book cover to do one using these colours, and I love the little chipboard house which reminded me of a school house.
And I had to include this quote about maths - even at 15 I still have to spend time with my daughter sometimes helping her with her maths homework, and I know that sometimes we both end up more confused than at the start!
Lots of great Tim Holtz products on this layout!

I hope you take some inspiration from this to create your own :)"

"Celebrate Class Party" Layout by DT Zsoka Marko

We are back on the blog today sharing an awesome layout inspired by our
Today's incredible feature was created by talented SOS Designer Zsoka!
Zsoka:
Hi there scrappy friends, Zsoka here with you today with a new layout for the book inspired stash challenge.I was inspired by the ABCs and 123s on the cover as well as the school theme, so I created this cut file from the Open Letter Alpha cut file from The Cut Shoppe. I had the idea to back the cut file with some script paper. For my background I used a Kraft card stock (which I never use but it was lying around on my desk and I thought I'd challenge myself) :). I then used modeling paste and one of my favourite stencils from TCW to add some texture to the background. Afterwards I took some of my spray inks and did the packaging technique over my modeling paste.
For backing my photos I used a lot of layers of scrap pieces of papers I had from Basic Grey Barista and B-Side. I added some embellies, journaling and I called it done.
Hope you like it and will be inspired to join us in this month's challenge!

"School Days" Layout by DT Carmen Henriquez

Hello!
Today we are featuring an amazing layout created by SOS Designer Carmen
inspired by the
Carmen:
"I was inspired by the colors of the book cover and also by the image. I found this vintage picture from my husband and his brothers ready to the first day of school, circa 1958... I did use a book page, gesso and watercolors. I have lots of alpha leftovers, so I decided to use it here as embellishments. The little house chipboard has been in my stash for a long time, not sure if it's from Crate Paper, Basic Gray....or?"

" Those Eyes, That Face" Layout by DT Sherri Caramico

Today's adorable inspiration is the creative work of talented Designer Sherri
inspired by our
Sherri:
"Well, this month's Book Cover Challenge looks like it is pretty much about "school" but look closer... I drew my inspiration from the cute dog at the bottom/center of the cover. Since my "boys" are in their 20's and I started scrapping "late" in their lives, I don't have very many school type photos around. I decided to focus on the dog, as my newest dog, Tino, is my almost 3 year old "baby," and also the YELLOW background color! So, you see, the book inspired challenges are pretty much all about what "inspires YOU" about the photo - so come on, and join us in this month's challenge! I can't wait to see what INSPIRES YOU!
Be SURE to include a BOOK or DICTIONARY Paper in you Layout too!!
As you can see in my "Inspiration" Layout - I focused on our youngest Portuguese Water Dog - Valentino, or TINO as he is very affectionately known!! I used the color YELLOW as my background color, just like in the book cover. I also used a page out of an old children's fairytale book, as he was just a 4 month old little guy, when these photos were taken.
I can't wait to see how what you "see" when you play along with us this month!!"\

Since the book cover has lots of colors, I knew I wanted to make sure that I added lots of colors on my page. Both the background paper and the horizontal strip of paper have text on them. I can’t wait to see how this book cover will inspire you!"

"A Fresh Start" Layout by DT Natsuko Suzuki

Hey there crafty friends!
Today Designer Natsuko is sharing the stunning layout she created
inspired by our
September Book Inspired Stash Challenge:
Natsuko:
This challenge reminds me of the time when my daughter was getting ready for elementary school. She was anxious but really excited, wondering what school was going to be like. Now she's in 5th grade, and enjoying her school life:)
I was inspired by the colors, house and fence, so I chose a colorful paper for the background, die cut houses and a punched fence for embellishments. I used book paper, which is part of the challenge in the center underneath the photo. You can see more details here;
I'm so looking forward to see everyone's layouts!! Enjoy!!

Anna Uhras

"Hi I'm Anna and I'm from a little village in the middle of Sweden. My family of seven, hubby, five kids (21 - 3 ) and me are living at our farm, where my hubby works, and I work halftime as a hairdresser. I have to admit I'm addicted to Scrapbooking and all the pretty papers and supplies around our awesome hobby. As often as I can I love playing along at Scrap Our Stash, therefore I'm so happy and honored that Brenda and Rochelle asked me to guest this month. I´m also a member of some design teams, which is so fun and very developing. My first contact with this hobby was about 2007, mostly cardmaking. But I think my "real" start was about Fall 2012 when I discovered Scrapbooking with layouts. I mostly do traditional 12 x 12 but also letter size sometimes. My style is hard to define for me, it depends of what has inspired me at that moment. But I love rich and bright colors, layers, white space, thread and even machine stiching is often to find on my layouts.

You are more than welcome to visit me at my blog:
Anna xo

And today Anna is sharing the amazing layout she created inspired by the challenge:
"Practice In Writing"
Anna:
"I was inspired by the colors, the alphas and the school theme. The design on the book cover gave me the idea of the design of my layout. I found some pages from an old dictionary and used it with a picture wheel die. The papers as well are pretty school/alpha inspired.
Hope you found some inspiration here so you will join us for this lovely challenge."
Anna xo

Our team is looking forward to seeing how this month's book cover inspires each of you,
so go get your scrap on and share your creations with us!
Have a great day!

I also added some Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze, a hand-stitched title using an American Crafts stitching template and some DMC floss, Queen & Co. washi tape, Stampin' Up vellum, a Prima tag, and finally random brads and a clothespin I found in my stash. "Go Big Al!" LO by DT Renee Timmerman

It's Hump Day!

Here's an awesome layout from DT Renee to get you over the "Hump!" :)
Renee shared this about her layout:
"This sketch has been by far my favorite thus far! I know- I say it every time but honestly- this one rocks! From the lists I chose : 3 Various Manufacturers , Washi Tape and the letter X. - I took the X and turned them to plus signs... Hope that works!  I love how I could use the Cool Kid line from Crate Paper as well as other scraps I had that matched perfectly, for this picture of my nephew! Even though they live in Boston, my sister keeps us in the loop of all their activities and makes it seem like we're right there with them. I also get the chance to scrapbook my family even when they are miles away. I'm so proud of the young man he's becoming! GO BIG AL!"

"Maxim Not Impressed" LO by DT Zsoka Marko

Hello!

Here's a wonderful layout created by our designer Zsoka:
Zsoka shared this about her layout:
"Hi there scrappy friends,

Zsoka here with you today with a new layout based on this month's sketch. It's such a pretty sketch again, don't you think?
At the time I created this layout, I just received this Simple Stories line, Sunshine and Happiness, so I really wanted to use it. With its florals I thought it would be perfect - I just fussy cut out some of these gorgeous flowers for my clusters. I also added some cute Jillibean Soup wood veneer flowers here. I mainly used the SS collection, but I also added a piece of washi tape from Freckled Fawn under my picture, then I used some Heidi Swapp chipboards too. Instead of using all the different patterned papers that are there in the sketch, I replaced some with hand stitching. I already had a lot going on on this layout so I thought this tones it down a little.
When I saw the lists first, the only thing I knew was that I was going to use the letter X ha! My son is called Maxim so this was an easy pick. Though I never actually write his name in the title! To draw attention to my X, I used all lower case letters in his name except for the X.
I hope I could inspire you in one way or the other! You still have a few days to link up your projects!
Have a great day and I'll be back next month with two new layouts XXX

List: Various manufacturers (Simple Stories, Freckled Fawn, Jillie Bean Soup, Heidi Swapp), Washi tape and Letter X."
