"Joy" Layout by Designer Michelle Henderson

Hello and thank you for stopping by!
Today SOS Designer Michelle, is sharing the amazing layout she created
inspired by the
Michelle:
"Happy December everyone!
This was such a fun page to do - and I love stripes, and have either enamel dots or sequins on nearly every page so that wasn't a problem lol.
I thought the gold paper background looked like a frame so I took it one step further and added wire to make it look like it was hanging.
I hope you can take some inspiration from this for the challenge, and you can always
visit my blog at www.artcrapz.blogspot.com for more details."

"Yes Please" Layout by DT Zsoka Marlo

Today's fabulous feature is the creative work of talented SOS Designer Zsoka
inspired by the
Zsoka:
"Hey there scrappy friends, Zsoka with you today with my layout for the book cover inspired challenge. I guess you can't really tell it was inspired by the book cover because it is not exactly a Xmas layout :D. The additional requirement was that we use striped paper and enamel dots or sequins. I focused on these more. I had Amy Tan's Oh Happy Life collection on my desk so I just went with it! This yellow-white striped paper is my most favourite in the whole collection, just so summery and happy! I created this cut file from a single heart and backed it with different patterned papers from the same collection. I added some stickers and enamel dots for embellishments plus I used some AH-MAZING wood veneer sequins I got from my friend, Eri. I tried to find these but they seem to be discontinued :(. I did some machine stitching at the bottom and that is pretty much it!

I hope you like how it turned out! Thanks for stopping by X Zsoka"

"Christmas Memories" Layout by Sherri Caramico

Good morning crafty friends!
Welcome to another day of awesome
 inspiration.
Today's featured layout is the wonderful creative work of SOS Designer Sherri:
Sherri:
"Oh my goodness! How did it get to be December already!! I don't know about you, but I think that 2016 has flown by! Let me take a minute to wish you and your families a very Happy and Healthy Holiday Season, filled with Love, Laughter, and Wonderful Memories!

Speaking of memories, I used the "Christmas theme" and Red and Green colors from this month's SCRAP OUR STASH Book Inspired Challenge, to create my DT Layout, that captures a special Christmas memory!

Believe it or not, I really didn't have many Christmas papers in my stash, but I am happy to say, what I did have worked out well for this challenge. I used striped paper and enamel dots, for the added challenge items.

This is a photo of my wonderful Mom and Dad on Christmas morning, 2008. I can't believe this was 8 years ago already! I love the vintage look of these papers!

Again, I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas, and a Happy and Healthy Holiday Season! I hope you get some YOU time this month and can play along with us!
((HUGS)) ~ Sherri"

"Jewel Thief" Layout by DT Cassie Wiscarson

Hi everyone!
Today we are showcasing a super adorable layout created by SOS Designer Cassie,
inspired by our

Cassie:
"This book cover had me scratching my head on what to create. It seemed obvious to make a Christmas page, but last year I decided I wanted to be an active participant and not just behind the camera. The result of that is that I have almost no Christmas pictures and the ones I did take have already been scrapped. I decided to take my inspiration from the title and more importantly the word STOLE. So that is what inspired to create this page of my niece wearing ALL of the dress-up jewelry while visiting her grandparents. I took a 6x6 pad and cut several pages in half so that I had 8 triangles. I then laid them out so that the picture would be in the middle. I used striped paper and then used sequins to create a rough circle around my photo and title."

Here is the challenge that inspired Cassie"s page:

I found a picture of my daughter with the same face (upper left pic) as 'GRINCH' in this book! LOL!! It was so fun making this layout:)

"Got Gifts" Layout by DT Steffanie Seiler

Happy Friday!
It's the most wonderful time of the year and today we are sharing a layout
with a little bit of adorable holiday cheer
created by SOS Designer Steffanie
inspired by the
December Book Inspired Stash Challenge:
Steffanie:
"I went along with the Christmas theme and found this little treasure among my photos from last year. I think what drew me to this one was the stripes---since the challenge also called for stripes! I chose this light blue cardstock to play off the blue stripe in the photo and also to be a little non-traditional. It helped that I had this Echo Park Christmas collection in my stash that had a bit of blue in the stripe print. Sequins added the perfect little amount of sparkle to my page and fulfilled the other part of the challenge."

Christel Overgaard

Hey! My name is Christel Overgaard and live in southern Sweden near the sea. I am now retired and love it . About 12 years ago I was introduced to scrapbooking and it has developed to a great interest and a wonderful hobby. I have a big family and it's my big motivation when I do the layouts. I fill binders of all the children and grandchildren. I create mostly layouts, as well as cards, when needed. I like photography, I am  featured in a photo club and it is a good combination with scrapbooking .

I like to interpret drawings and pictures and participate in the many challenges each month. I can not say I have any particular style, but like to challenge myself with new things. I get inspiration by looking around at all the talented scrapbookers and websites . I'm so glad to be the Guest Designer this month and hope that I can inspire others.
Thanks!

Please visit my blog

Check out the incredible layout Christel created inspired by this month's challenge:
"Peace"
Christel shared this with us about her layout:
"At first, I had a little difficulty trying to figure out what to do.   In Sweden, I have never seen the figure Grinch and what it means. Then I thought of our Santa Claus last Christmas, she came with a message of peace on earth and was wearing a large necklace with peace mark. I was inspired by the words of the opposite of stealing, the colors in the book cover and used a striped paper and enamel dots.

Thank for stopping by and I hope that you are inspired by this month's challenge and/or Christel's awesome layout.

"Love" LO by DT Aurelie

Good Morning!

Today, we are sharing this wonderful layout from Designer Aurelie:
Asa shared this about her layout:
"I'll admit it. I've been known to buy a collection or two or... twenty?;)... just because I find them absolutely beautiful. However, when it comes time to work with them, I get stuck. 'Tis was the case with My Mind' Eye's Stella & Rose - Hattie collection, c. 2011. Yes, that's right. It's been sitting in my stash for five years now, just waiting to be chosen for a project. Yes, I lifted layouts I had found on the internet when it first came out, but I had yet to use it predominantly on a layout of my own. But not anymore! So happy with how this layout turned out.

I Layered tons of different Hattie patterned papers along with some of its sticker chipboard, tags and labels. In order to create some matching embellishments, I even fussy-cut some of those flowers from the boldest piece of patterned paper. I also incorporated some MME patterned papers from the Lost & Found - Sunshine collection that came out a few months later in 2011. I had specifically bought them because they matched the Hattie collection so much! There are also some Sunshine collection buttons on there.

Other than that, I added some Crate Paper chipboard title and sticker embellishments along with a Maya Road banner clip, some American Crafts alphas and corrugated cardstock, Magic Mesh, Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze, and some handy stitching using a Bazzill Basics stitching template and some DMC floss. And my +3? You guessed it! The colors - grey, harvest gold, and indigo. As soon as I saw the proposed colors in the lists, I immediately thought of this collection and thought to myself, "I am long overdue to scrap with this collection!" SO very happy I did!"

"Ensemble" LO by DT Marie

Hello and Happy Friday!

Today's inspiration is from our Designer Marie.
Check out her beautiful layout:

Marie shared this about her layout:
"I used the color combo from the list, these three colors together are such a great combination! Really love them! I used a paper from Ella & Viv for my background. Their papers are amazing, they are sturdy enough for any mixed media composition and the colors are bold and vivid. At first I was a bit scared by the sketch. Then, I went in my stash and tried to find elements and embellishments that would fit into it. And one by one, they fell into place, without me noticing that the sketch was really taking shape right under my eyes. Happy scrapping times!"

"All Smiles" LO by DT Zsoka

Happy Monday!

We are starting off the week with this fabulous layout from our Designer Zsoka:
Zsoka shared this about her layout:
"Hi there scrappy friends, Zsoka here with you today with my layout for the November sketch challenge. I really loved this sketch! Of course if there are circles in a sketch, it's all good in my book :). The Pinkfresh Studio Indigo Hills collection just came out and I just had to use it on every layout I did that time (I think about 15!). So in love with this line, the blue and the mustard...Just gorgeous! I decided to go with white background which I very rarely do, but I had so many different color and patterned papers to use that a patterned background would have been too busy even for me :). For my circles I used one of my favourite cut files from Just Nick Studio. I use this often, it's so cute, isn't it? From the lists I chose:
1. grey
2. gold (the little heart clip on the photo)
3. indigo
The washi tape is from Freckled Fawn and fits this PF collection perfectly!

I hope I could inspire you today in one way or another! Thanks for stopping by!
X Zsoka"
