Introducing New Design Team Member, Aurélie Cormier

Hello and welcome to another day of our Design Team Introductions!!!
Please join us in welcoming another new member to our team,
talented designer,
Aurélie Cormier

Welcome aboard Aurélie, we are excited to have you on the team and looking forward to the
fascinating inspiration you will be sharing with us!

"I originally hail from Cheticamp, a beautiful Acadian village right on the Cabot Trail in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. Studying in Moncton, I quickly fell in love with New Brunswick and have been a permanent resident since 2005. I now reside in Dieppe with my husband, Mathieu, our almost eight-year old son, Louis-Olivier, our two-and-a-half year old daughter, Éloïse, and our cat, Caillou. Since 2007, I am a public servant by day and a full-fledged scrapper by night. Scrapbooking has become an integral part of my life. I try doing something scrapbook-related every day, may it be working on a layout, browsing through online galleries or catching up on my favorite scrappy blogs. Published in a few editions of Canadian Scrapbooker, in France's own Histoires de Pages, and most recently in Scrapbook & Cards Today, my style has been known to be called "rustic", which is fine by me as it enables me to relish in fattening things up with layers, dimension, tearing and texture. Other than scrapbooking, I have rekindled a romance with reading through a monthly book club I joined at work in February 2012. I also tutor, teach voice classes and sing most weekends at a few church services around the area."
Aurelie's Blog: Rustic Scraps

And here is Aurelie's first SOS Design Team reveal.
Her lovely layout was inspired by the
July Book Inspired Stash Challenge

"Love You"
Aurelie:
"SO excited to share my very first SOS reveal with you all!! As soon as I saw this book cover challenge, my eye was immediately drawn to one thing - the color scheme. It brought me way back to my early days of scrapbooking and to a specific Basic Grey collection, Kioshi (c. 2009). Remember that one? ;) And for me, playing with at least 5 different patterned papers was right up my alley. Layering is actually one of my favorite scrappy things to do! How many pieces do I have on this layout? Let me count for you... 1, 2, 3... Wowzers! A whole whopping NINE!! I not only coordinated the Basic Grey patterned papers, but I also added a few other pieces by My Mind's Eye and Ruby Rock-It. And that piece of ruled paper? I've had that in my stash from my very first years of scrapbooking, but I have no idea who manufactured it. Would L-O-V-E to find some more, though... Hee!Hee! ;) What else did I add on my layout? A Stampin' Up corduroy button (my round embellishment for this challenge!), puffy stickers and alphas from Basic Grey's Kioshi collection, title elements by Jillibean Soup (I lightly painted that one with some Shimmerz Dazzlerz) and American Crafts, a heart-shaped wood veneer piece by Studio Calico, Making Memory staples, ink splats using Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze, and good ol' fashioned hand-stitching using a Bazzill Basic stitching template and some DMC floss. And finally, I couldn't help but adding the title of the book as part of my journalling for my sweet girl - "Oh, the places you'll go!" Indeed.

Hope I inspired you to dig deep in your stashes to finds some true treasures to use for this challenge. Happy scrapping!"

Introducing New Design Team Member, Michelle Henderson

Happy Friday!!!
It's time to meet another one of our new Design Team members!
Today we are honored to introduce to you talented Designer
Michelle Henderson
"Hi everyone I'm Michelle and I'm from the shaky South Island in New Zealand!

I live in Christchurch (which had a major earthquake in 2011 that we're all still slowly recovering from), with my husband of 31 years, 2 teenage daughters that I love but drive me batty sometimes, and 2 psychotic cats. My poor hubby is outnumbered 5 to 1 as even the cats are girls!

I've been scrapping for around 15 years although it's just in the last couple of years that I've discovered what a huge online community there is for scrappers. I can spend hours "window" shopping online, checking out techniques on YouTube, finding things I like on Pinterest, reading blogs and updating my own blog. I love competing in online challenges as they always give a "push" to get those photos on to layouts and then into albums.

I'm also on the design team for my local scrapbook store The Paper Teapot.

I was super pumped to be invited on to the Scrap Our Stash design team, and I hope that I can inspire you to create, create, create!"

Michelle we are excited to have you on our team and looking forward to all of the beautiful inspiration you will creating to share with us!
Welcome to the Scrap Our Stash Team!

Now it's time to check out Michelle's first SOS reveal
which was inspired by the
June Book Inspired Sketch Challenge

"A Brilliant Day"
Michelle:
"I was inspired to use a photo of one of our recent holidays when we went to the southernmost tip of the South Island. I know our girls are going to travel so much further than we ever have, but we want to show them some of our country before they head overseas for themselves.

I've used a paper range from Cocoa Vanilla called "Colour Me Happy", I love the way these papers co-ordinate so it was easy to use 5 patterned papers...and the colours are so bright and cheerful like the book cover.

For the round embellishment I've pressed a bottle cap in my cuttlebug, added an epoxy sticker inside it, and popped the whole lot on top of a fussy cut flower shape. But I couldn't stop there! I love my Tim Holtz circle stamps, and enamel dots are pretty much a given on most of my pages.

I can't wait to see what you will come up with!"

Here's a look at the challenge that inspired Michelle's layout.
Click HERE for complete challenge rules and details.
We appreciate your visit today and hope that you return tomorrow to meet
our next designer and to see what she has created to inspire you.

Enjoy your weekend!

Introducing Returning Designer, Zsoka Marko

Thank you for joining us today to meet another
incredibly talented team member.
Welcome back
Zsoka Marko
for your second term with Scrap Our Stash!
"I am a Hungarian living in Germany with my Dutch boyfriend and our 7-year-old son.
I've been crafting ever since I remember...I tried every craft under the sun, from glass/porcelain/silk painting, bead weaving, mosaic in all form, to cake/cookie decorating and lots more. I need to craft to keep sane! Scrapbooking is my newly found hobby! I love trying new techniques, experimenting with paint. I enjoy clean as well as messy, mixed media layouts. I love to use cut files on my layouts. I don't always do but it seems the majority of times I come back to them :).
I'm honored to have been chosen as part of the SOS design team and hope I can inspire you in any small way with my layouts!"

Zsoka, it is such a pleasure to have you designing with us for another term and we are looking forward to seeing what you create to inspire us for the next six month!

You gotta love this fabulous layout Zsoka created inspired by the

"Cutie"
Zsoka:
"Hi there scrappy friends, Zsoka here with you today with a new inspiration for the book cover challenge! I was inspired by all the circles on the cover - if you know me you know I love my circles :). I've actually scraplifted myself for this layout! A few months back I did a similar layout with different papers (it was based on an awesome sketch by Ashley Horton) but it was a gift for a friend, so I didn't have a layout like this myself yet. I've used many different patterned papers actually! With embellishing I had no idea what direction I will go when I started working on the layout but since I've used Pinkfresh papers for the circles I just pulled out some Pinkfresh embellies from my stash and I couldn't believe I actually had many circles in an ephemera pack! Perfect! I've also added some puffy sequins for more circles.
I hope I could get your ideas going with this layout!
Thanks for stopping by!"

And the challenge that inspired Zsoka's fabulous layout:

Introducing Returning Designer, Cassie Wiscarson

Happy Independence Day!!!
Peace, Warmth, Love, Goodwill, Happiness and Joy
Wishing you all of these and more on our nation's
Independence Day
and always!!!

It's day three of our new Design Team introductions!   Join us in welcoming back
talented Designer
Cassie Wiscarson
"I am a stay at home mother to my 9 year old daughter and have been scrapbooking for around 13 years. My favorite part about scrapbooking is being able to show my creative side by working with a wide variety of products. I have had the pleasure of working on a few design teams and I love being able to share ideas with the others on the teams and learn new techniques from other scrapbookers. I use my layouts to share the memories of my family and enjoy being able to tell our story with paper, pictures, embellishments and journaling. At the beginning this was just a hobby, but over the years it has become a passion that I am able to share with my daughter and loving husband. I take great pride in my work and love to share my style with fellow scrappers!"

Cassie's Blog: Smiles and Sunshine

Below is Cassie's awesome take on this month's
Book Inspired Stash Challenge

"Best Day Ever"
Cassie:
"Happy Fourth of July! I was really inspired by the circles and the theme of travel on this book cover. I grabbed this picture from our trip to the tulip fields this year. It was perfect since there are so many colors on the book cover. I then decided to use this cut file and thought it would be great to have each circle backed with a different piece of patterned paper. I added several circle embellishments between the cut file, enamel dots, the yellow flower and the grey puffy circle on the left side of the page. I can't wait to see what you create!"

Cassie we are so happy you decided to design with us for another term, and we are looking forward to the incredible inspiration you will be sharing with us for the next six months!

Introducing New Designer, Natsuko Suzuki

Hello and welcome to our second day of Design Team introductions.
Today we would like you to join us in welcoming one of our new incredibly talented designers,
Natsuko Suzuki

"Hi everyone, I'm Natsuko from Japan. I've been scrapping for 7 years now, and I'm still deeply in love:) Most of my layouts include my loved ones especially my daughter who is now in 5th grade. Scrapbooking not only makes me happy but it's also very therapeutic. That's why I join workshops and events especially for moms. I love looking at other people's layouts too, by reading their blog or imagining what kind of story is hidden there. I love both colorful and shabby chic style. I don't want to limit myself so I'm not hesitant to try new techniques or style. I love travelling, taking pictures and meeting new people from all over the world (especially scrappers !!) It's such an honour to be a member of this team and I'm so excited !! Thank you xxx"

Natsuko's Blog:  Natsuko's Little Craft Room

And here is the amazing layout Natsuko created inspired by our
July Book Inspired Stash Challenge:

"Believe"
Natsuko:
"I was inspired by the colorful circles and the title. This picture of my daughter taking a nap, made me wonder what she's dreaming of, and lead me to make a fun page full of hope and dreams. I cut random sizes of donut circles and layered them (I love layering !!). More layers under the photo, and played with all the happy embellies around. I finished it by scattering sequins. You can see more details in my blog:) http://natsukoslittlecraftroom.blogspot.jp/"

Natsuko we are excited to have you on our team and looking forward to the wonderful inspiration you will be sharing with us for the next six months!

Thank you for stopping by today and return tomorrow to meet another member of our team.

January Book Inspired Stash Challenge:

"Sail, Sail Away"
Zsoka:
"Hi there, Zsoka here and I am sharing my first layout with you on SOS! I am honored to be here and hope you find my work inspiring!

For the Dr. Seuss book cover inspired challenge I drew my inspiration from the colors. I am not familiar with the content of these books but I do know the illustrations and always found them so cool!
I chose a black and white background paper to resemble the famous hand sketched design of the characters. The blue and red combo always reminds me of sea/sailing themed things and as luck would have it, this year we went sailing and I still have some photos to scrap of our adventure!
I chose a cut file that reminded me of boat helms a little bit and I backed these with different blue and red papers. The photo I printed in black and white too to match the color theme. For the title I used one of my favorite thickers which I thought fit the Cat in the Hat design perfectly!
I've added some embellishments and the required white paint splatters and there you have it, my first layout! Thanks for looking! X"

Good morning!
It's time to meet another one of our new Design team members!
Today we are honored to introduce to you talented Designer
Marie Claude Rodier

Marie we are excited to have you on our team and we are looking forward to all of the beautiful inspiration you will
be sharing with our fans!
Welcome to the Scrap Our Stash Team!
"My name is Marie Claude Rodier, aka Nini on most virtual forums.
I’m a wife to a really nice man and mom to two very dynamic and smart boys of 5 and almost 8.
We live in a small suburb near Montreal in Québec, Canada. I’m working in translation, trying to find the best French expressions and words that translate English concepts. I love to solve complex linguistic puzzles every day.

When I’m not working, I’m either cooking special recipes for my little ones or in my scrap room creating new layouts. I’ve started scrapbooking not long after my oldest son's birth, in 2008. I took a break for a few years (life could get really busy with a full time job and young kids!!!) and came back to scrapbooking in 2011.
I’ve been totally committed to this hobby ever since. It became a real passion and sometimes an obsession!"
Marie's Blog: Nini Monde

As her first SOS reveal, Marie has created this stunning layout, inspire by our

Marie:
"Here is my first layout as part of SOS DT team. I'm so proud to be part of it. smile emoticon
When I first saw the inspiration, I was immediately attracted by the colors... blues are my favorite!
Most of the time I'm using black and white pictures on my layouts, but when I saw this one in my stash, I knew it was meant to be.

I've used pastel oils, black modeling paste and white embossing powder to create my background. I've also used white gesso mixed with water to create splatters."

Inspired?
Here is a look at the challenge, why not create a layout and show us how
this BOOK COVER inspires you:

Design Team Introduction ~ Patricia Barnett

Join with us in welcoming back talented Designer
Patricia Barnett
Patricia is a veteran and celebrating her seventh term with Scrap Our Stash
and we are looking forward to the inspiration she will be creating to share
with us this term.
"Hello my crafty friends!
My name is Tricia and I am from Sunny Southern California, mother of one beautiful daughter Breanna Nichole (6) and a brand new fury friend, Brownie. I have been creating for about 17 years and have enjoyed every moment of it. I began scrapbooking right when there weren’t too many “safe” products out there to use. Since my attendance to a Scrapbook Expo it went all down hill from there! I usually reference that as my “coming out party!” Most of my projects and layouts you will see will be of my daughter as she IS the subject and focus of my life! I have met so many cool people through the world of crafting in which I am so lucky to have many of them as my friends!

I’m usually kept busy doing layouts, canvas pieces, Project Life, Art Journaling and my favorite…. Mini Books! Whatever it is I am creating I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE using embelIies! You will almost always find some BLING, Washi Tape, Paint, and most likely some doodling. =) I

Besides crafting, I love spending time with my family, friends, traveling, reading, dancing and working out. I am usually never still and always involved in something.

I am super excited to be a part of such an awesome design team here for Scrap Our Stash!
All the designers are extremely talented and I am sure you will find inspiration every time you visit!
I am totally looking forward to another term and I hope you are too!
Stay tuned to see some cool stuff!
See you around!"
Tricia

Take a look at the super cute layout Patricia created to share with you today inspired by our
January Stash Challenge

"I Love You To The Moon..."
Patricia:
"Happy New Year and thanks again for joining us for this months challenge! It was definitely a challenge for me as I discovered I do not have much blue in my stash! It may be a littlle difficult to tell in the photo, however the polka dot is a dark blue. I loved breaking out my Custom Circle Cutting System from CM, now that is digging back in my stash! I also enjoyed creating random white paintbrush strokes to add to it!

I hope you enjoy, thanks for looking and I can't wait to see what you come up with!"

Design Team Introduction ~ Sherri Caramico

Hello!
We are excited to introduce our fourth Design Team member today!
Please join us in welcoming back talented designer
Sherri Caramico
Sherri is celebrating her second term with
Scrap Our Stash and we are so happy to have her on our team for another term.
"My name is Sherri Caramico, I live in Northern New Jersey. I have been married to my high school sweetheart for 32 years, and am the mother of 2 adult sons, and 2 young Portuguese Water Dogs. All of them are my favorite subjects! We love to travel and Disney Cruising and Disney Parks are our favorite way to vacation. I love meeting people, and enjoy photographing our journeys. I started scrapping late in my children's lives, ( about 10 years ago,) and I know I will never get "caught up." I'm okay with that, as I like to scrap what I "feel like" scrapping, and love lots of layers, textures and "stuff" on my pages.

I work full time in the corporate world and Scrapbooking helps me to relax from a busy day, and get creative. It has helped me to meet so many people that I now call my true friends. I teach classes at my Local Scrapbook Store and I enjoy inspiring others to think outside the box and encourage them just try a new technique or product. I believe there is no right or wrong, no good or bad - everyone has their own personal "art" inside them."

SPECIAL MENTION: Selected for a Heart Healthy Video for Cheerios.com about my “Passion for Scrapbooking” you can view it on You Tube “Precious Memories – Sherri” and see some of my work. (If you click on CHEERIOS tag on my blog, you can find out how this came about) It was filmed at Scrap-a-Doodle Doo too!
Here is the link to the video from 2010."

And below is the lovely vintage page Sherri created to share with us inspired by our

"Christmas 1963"
Sherri:
"I LOVE this new challenge format! At first I was a little unsure what to do - and I even thought the cat was walking on the beach! LOL! - which by the way would have been OK, since it was how I interpreted it -but I then decided to go with "Winter/Christmas," as that is what snow always reminds me of. I love the Basic Grey paper line I selected. I think it goes perfectly with the photo of my little brother and me from Christmas 1963.
I painted the 3 wooden snowflakes with white paint, to fulfill the other challenge requirement.
I hope you will play along with us this month! It was so much fun!

Here is my blog link:

Design Team Reveal

Meet our latest Scrap Our Stash Design Team member Danielle Gaudet
from Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Danielle has been married to her high school sweetheart, Dwain, for almost 22 years. She says, "he is the most wonderfully supportive man and I am a very lucky SAHM to one beautiful teenage daughter and two of the cutest fur babies. They are my joy. "

Danielle has been scrapping for 14 years and has taught scrapbooking classes for about 6 years. She has no set time for scrapping, but she tries to do something creative every day. Whether it is catching up on blogs, looking at a scrapbooking magazine or just sketching her layouts. She likes to do something to keep her creative juices flowing. Danielle likes to sketch her designs ahead of time, so that when she is ready to make a page, she can quickly get started by choosing some papers and embellishments to match.

She says, “I have so many embellishments in my stash, oh wait, is it rubber stamps? Oh, maybe Thickers? Okay, so I have enough of everything to open a small store“. When asked how long her stash would survive if she were to do one layout per day she said, “I could probably do a good year or two, adhesives included. Oh, did I just admit that out loud?”

Danielle said she is very excited to have come across the Scrap Our Stash Challenge site and she is even more excited to be part of the Design Team. She has a lot of stash to scrap and she hopes to show creative ways to help others scrap their stash.

Danielle’s stash project is a photo that she had been wanting to scrap for a while.

"This Girl"

She says, “this Girl” not only makes her smile, she is the reason why Danielle scrapbooks. This page was made using up bits from a leftover kit club. Kit clubs are one of the reasons Danielle’s store, I mean room, is overstuffed with supplies. When she has time, she tries to pull pieces from her stash to create her own quick page kits. This makes for a fast start when creativity strikes. She already had the design, paper and embellishments ready to go when it came time to make this page.

We are looking forward to seeing what Danielle will contribute to the Scrap Your Stash Design Team. With the amount of stash she has she should be around for a long time. Please congratulate Danielle on being chosen as a part of the team - and don’t forget to check out her blog at http://www.meamomentaryglimpse.blogspot.com/. Please check out the other design team members here and on their blogs. Stay tune for more design team reveals - and our first challenge will be posted on December 1, 2009. Become a follower now, you won’t want to miss it.

Welcome Megan Bickers

our newest Scrap Our Stash Design Team member. Megan has scrapbooked in some shape or form since she was little. She remembers helping her mom staple and glue scraps of greeting cards, wrapping paper, and memorabilia into large manilla books. Her babysitter introduced her to stamping when she was in elementary school (5th grade). She said she has always been involved in some craft or another, but scrapbooking really fills in all the gaps for her. She loves photography and documenting her family’s stories for her children, she creates her pages with multiple photos and her favorite supply—her stamps! Her scrapbooking developed more after her dad died five years ago and she wanted to use her photos and words to focus more on their relationships and not just the events. She enjoys teaching scrapbooking classes as her schedule permits and loves finding new ways to scrap her supplies.

Megan’s family is super supportive of her creative endeavors. She has been married for 12 years to her best friend. They have two elementary aged children (a boy and a girl), and their family wouldn’t be complete without their dog. They live in Texas and love spending as much time as they can outdoors.

Megan says she is very excited to be on the Scrap Our Stash Design Team because she has accumulated a large supply of products and loves creating with a challenge in mind. Stamps, are hands down what she has the most of in her stash. She has them consolidated down into a smaller footprint storage-wise, but they are her favorite tool and what she uses on just about every layout. If she had to pick a consumable product, it would have to be pattern paper. She said she is a sucker for beautiful designs and has quite a collection of papers too.

When asked how long her stash would last if she scraped one layout per day. Her resonse was “a LONG LONG time without HAVING to purchase anything else.” She did admit that she probably WOULD purchase something else, but who doesn’t love shopping for a good deal?”
Megan's Stash project is:

The Laughter of Children

Posted by PicasaShe used two sets of older Rusty Pickle stickers she'd been hoarding forever and some Basic Grey tag die cuts that she has also been collecting for a while now. She was challenging herself to use white cardstock as her layout base and to use several products she hadn’t used in a long time (stickers and die cut tags). Of course, she had to add some stamps to the mix, and she personalized the white background with some stamps and inks. The stickers were attached to the layout with pop dots and accented with stickles glitter glue. The buttons were added to give a 3-D look to the rest of the layout.

Megan is going to be a great contributor to the Scrap Our Stash Design Team. Maybe she'll even get some of us to use those stamps we've been collecting! Be sure to welcome Megan here and also check out her blog at http://www.made-by-design.blogspot.com/ to see more of her great work. Be sure to check back to meet the rest of the team - and make sure you're here on December 1st for our first Scrap Our Stash Challenge.
