August Challenge - Ready To Bloom

Hello, Kimmarie posting here today! August challenge is to make your own flowers. Unfortunately, I was not able to post tutorial pictures but my flowers are easy peasy. My computer has a huge virus and is being repaired at Staples. Anyway, here is my layout titled: Ready To Bloom.
This is a picture of my 10yr old daughter, Victoria. She wasn't in the picture taking mood that day but I decided she still looked beautiful and this picture represents the "mood - ready to bloom" that she has been in for over a year now. kwim?! lol For picture taking purposes I put white paper behind my layout (that is not part of the layout).

My flowers were made using the Stampin' Up Scallop Punch. After punching the scalloped circles, I cut next to each scallop on a slight angle then inked the petals. I added a button to the center and there you go, instant flower. I learned this trick from my SU friend, Stasia while scrapping at her house one night.

Now it's your turn to share your layout with handmade flowers with the rest of us. Do you have a tutorial to go with it? Send it to scrappinpsycho@live.com and your layout will be featured on the Scrap Our Stash blog with a chance to win a GDT spot for October.

Check out our new "Pagerize This" Challenge. See all the details below in "Pagerize This"

  2. My son gets in those non-picture moods. I love that you were still able to make a beautiful page from the photo...even if she would not cooperate.
