Reader Elizabeth submitted this layout for the October Quote challenge. She said:
Hello,
I’ve been following Scrap Our Stash for a while now but this is the first time I’ve entered into the challenge.
I collect quotes from all sorts of sources and note them down in notebooks so this challenge was right up my street. I’ve chosen to make a card round a favourite quotation that reminds me of happier times when I was a child in the fifties – Life’s A Picnic from the poem of the same name by Tobi Payton.
All materials used are from my stash – I’ve used snippets, scraps and leftovers and even the paper was a freebie with a magazine bought so long ago it was stashed away forgotten and unloved, until now.
If you would like know more about the materials and method used, and to read the poem too, the link is as follows: http://silverscrappers.blogspot.com/2011/10/lifes-picnic-paper-piecing-project.html
I hope you like my card and the story behind why l like this quote so much.
Kind regards
Elizabeth Worthington
